    I first commented 2 yrs ago about the wonderful properties of this excellent cream. My husband has been bed bound for several years. He lies mainly on one side and the District Nurse said his bedsore would never heal but told me to buy some cream with 100? Ingredients I couldn’t pronounce. It had no effect. I then saw your video, made some and it’s used twice a day since then. Every few months I would take a photo to record any improvement. What a difference in 12 months. I was so happy that I deleted all but the most recent as I found them upsetting to look at. Another year on and the wounds have completely healed and there is very little discolouration to the skin. The whole area has s much more comfortable now. It’s been a long road but goodness knows what his hip would be like if I never used it. Thank you so much. ❤

    Last week I made this cream for my friend with visible eczema rashes on her hands and body. Then I went on 5 days vacation. When I returned, I saw that her rashes had healed well. I'm so glad that she trusted me to dare use this handmade cream. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.

Three of us have been suffering from itchy rash; mine and my daughter came about after we were given antibiotics. I have made this and given it to my sister who has severe dermatitis on her hands. I made the recipe exactly and she had no problem with the lavender. She uses a tiny amount and her skin cleared up completely. Whenever it flares up she just uses it again and it disappears. It’s also helped 2 other people who have psoriasis in a milder form and they haven’t experienced any adverse reaction either. Hopefully it will work for you. I am just about to make some more for a 2 year old who has it all over his body.

      yall gotta be careful what you feed your kids. research alkaline diet and plant based diet (not vegan). the best diet for humans to heal their body mind and spirit is raw whole fruit and veggie diet.
      avoid sugar, processed foods, animal products, genetically modified shit.
      we need to look at the diet, it all starts on the inside. if you wanna get rid of illness we need permanent solutions which is a whole ass lifestyle change

    I made this for my cat, who has a long-standing skin condition. I substituted coconut oil for castor oil so it wouldn't hurt if she tried licking the balm off. The vet has tried everything, nothing worked - so I thought I might as well give it a try. This worked wonders! Her skin has cleared up, she's not scratching and she tolerates the balm being applied. Wonderful stuff.

    Another name for neem oil is margosa oil which is an extract of seeds of Azadirachta indica, commonly known as need transportation native to India and Stir Lanka. In low doses, margosa oil has been a traditional remedy for treating asthma, intestinal parasites, arthritis and leprosy. I was concerned as the oil I bought at an Indian grocery shop in my town only has margosa oil and the staff assured me that it's neem oil. That's why I googled to be sure of it's use.

    i have used a variety of products for skin care including shea butter (100% pure), cocoa butter (100% pure). But I have noticed that sometimes the cocoa butter can irritate my skin and sting (when using for chafing rashes). So I switched coconut oil instead of cocoa butter, and it works better no irritation (although the cococnut oil does tend to be greasy and I need to store it in the refrigerator when it gets warm outside otherwise it terms to liquid).

    • @Lovelygreens
      @Lovelygreens  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pure cocoa butter is a rock hard solid. It wouldn't be possible to use it on its own for skin, so I think you were using some sort of mixed lotion.

    This sounds like a good recipe to try out for dryer skin. However for eczema (at least in my experience), shea butter does not cool the "burn", or alleviate any of the inflammation and intense itching that occurs during a flareup. If anything, I'd consider trying the balm sold in the online shop because if contains beeswax. I make my balms with beeswax, cocoa butter, castor oil, lavender essential oil (mainly for fragrance), and honey (to preserve the mix) - these last 2 ingredients can be left out. I find that the beeswax, though heavy, is the key ingredient, and the ONLY thing that alleviates my itching, reduces the inflammation, and soothe the burn.

    • @Lovelygreens
      @Lovelygreens  6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The most important ingredient in this recipe is the Neem oil -- it's the ingredient that helps with itching and inflammation.

      I'll have to give that a try. I've shyed away from neem oil because of the pungent smell. Applying it at night might help alleviate that concern.

    Hello. I just found your video, and i like it very much. My mom has seborrheic dermatitis eczema on her scalp.. i want to ask you if she can use this balm on her scalp when she feels itchy? I will be very glad if you respond to my message. 😊

      Yes, you can! It's the same oil, and the solid oil melts to liquid in warm rooms.

    I thought I had eczema but I actually had candida rash. It's been a trying experience first going on an elimination diet, then eating nothing but vegetables and fats. The rash was weepy and super itchy so did not put anything on it except watered down peppermint oil and ice. When it goes through drying phase that is a good time for some lubricant. In my opinion it's best to keep it simple as some people may react to various ingredients such as almond oil, Vit E I believe is derived from wheat. I did use coconut oil on hands which seemed to help and then shea butter when it was almost gone. Ironically what helped it go away is.....eating nothing but fruit and salads with no fat for the last few days. The first couple days were challenging with itching but it subsided. I've had this rash before many times thinking it was eczema so would go on a fruit diet till it went away. When I realized it was candida after this last time I was afraid to eat fruit due to what is written out there and the rash just got worse and worse. When I finally decided to go back to fruit and salads I was not only happy to be getting some carbs and have energy but like I said after a few days conditions improved. Hope this helps you all out there. You can find others testimonies concerning clearing candida with a LFRV diet on you tube.

    Hi Tanya, great video. Would you please have any tips on how to avoid a balm being a gritty consistany ? Appreciate all your knowledge 😊

    • @alisaa3999
      @alisaa3999 ปีที่แล้ว

      I noticed that also. At first it seems fine but eventually the grittiness starts to form. I think it’s unavoidable unless it’s created in a lab.

    • @rayray-tp4ib
      @rayray-tp4ib ปีที่แล้ว +4

      To avoid grittiness when using butters, firstly make sure they are all melted down properly. Then stir untill 'trace' happens, which means keep stirring untill when you lift the spatula and drizzle some it leaves a visible line or trace behind on the surface. Once you have stirred it to trace leave it alone and put it in the fridge for an hour or two. Then there will be no grittiness. The grittiness is caused by different fats taking a different amount of time to cool down. If something with butters melts in the summer and then resets it can cause grittiness and you need to heat and do this process again to remove grittiness. I hope this helps.

    • @Lovelygreens
      @Lovelygreens  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The stearic acid naturally in shea butter will sometimes clump into fine grains when it solidifies. You can cool your balm in the fridge to try to stop this from happening. Regardless, the grains are harmless and melt on skin contact :)

    Tanya, por favor, um esclarecimento - existe um óleo de Neem melhor para as pomadas, cremes e sabonetes? Vejo muito a indicação como inseticida, mesmo aqueles que são indicados como "orgânicos - "É um inseticida orgânico composto de óleo puro obtido a partir da prensagem à frio das amêndoas de sementes de Neem indiano (Azadirachta indica)". Assim, encontrei várias marcas nacionais e importados, alguns muito indicados para tratamento de plantas e animais e com referências para o uso humano. A sua receita é apenas um óleo prensado a frio ou um óleo essencial de Neem? Obrigada, sempre!

      @makeit2649 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You want 100% cold-pressed neem oil. It is best to buy skin-grade rather than the grade that is used for insecticide. It is the same product, but more finely filtered to make it suitable for use on skin.

    Hello, I have been using this recipe for a year now, I have psoriasis and this helps my skin feel much better, thankyou. I want to know if I can replace cocoa butter with Sal butter, and almond oil with jojoba oil? Please let me know, I heard these two ingrediends help with reducing psoriasis symptoms.

    • @Lovelygreens
      @Lovelygreens  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes to both but the final consistency may be liquidy or too soft. It will also be much more expensive! You'll need to play around with ratios of the new oils to counter it and could possibly make batches that you're not happy with. Better to stick with the original recipe if it's helping your skin.

    As soon as I saw the ingredient list I reeled away ! People with ezcema as bad as mine have shocking allergic reactions to different oils ect . The Sweet Almond oil is a big no no for me .. also that neem oil from experience is way way to strong for my sensitive skin . Cocoa butter and vitamin E oil upsets my ezcema too unfortunately 😕
    My favourite oils that don’t upset my very sensitive skin are Argan oil , Rosehip oil and Rose essential oil. I just mix those oils into my basic pharmacist ‘David Craig ‘Sorbolone(In Australia) I know that it’s paraffin and mineral oil based unfortunately..but I’m not allergic to it !If I was going to do a more natural balm I’d use the Shea butter for the Thickness and them add the oils that I myself like for my skin. Castor oil is fine also fractionated coconut oil . I still
    appreciate he method of your recipe .. so thanks for that 👍

      Almond oil, coconut oil and most nuts oil make my skin itchy. Luckily cold pressed olive oil is ok with me but it's too thick and oily. I infuse dried calendula flower in my olive oil. It works wonder.

    I'm really keen to have a go at making this and have started accumulating the ingredients. Many people have warned me that neem oil reeks and lingers for days! Is it possible to use neem powder instead and if you can how much do you use? Also would it be ok to add a few drops of sandalwood oil which I believe is benefitial against psoriasis. It's a great video, thanks loads.

    • @Lovelygreens
      @Lovelygreens  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Neem does have a very strong scent - some people dislike it immensely and some aren't bothered by the scent at all. I'd personally only use it for treating skin issues such as eczema since in that case, the benefits of using Neem out weight the downside of the scent.
      Neem powder is made to be taken internally and is literally dried and ground up leaves, bark, and other parts of the Neem tree. It will not absorb into your skin as an oil will do and pretty much smells the same as the oil anyway.

      From a British cosmetic container supplier. You could buy similar ones anywhere in the world though I imagine. Look on Ebay and Amazon -- often times you can find small quantities of cosmetic packaging and ingredients there.
