The throttle bar, I am having the same issue, its a not tight. It starts if I jam something like you said. Did you adjust the cable? I see the while plastic tie .
Yes! If you just unplug the harness and put a jumper on the 2 non-yellow wires, that will allow the coil to make spark! But it also overrides all safety switches and key switch. So i recommend only doing this for testing purposes.
@@LEWCANFIXIT ah ok. I just grabbed my multitool and literally cut the key hole out of the plastic body of the machine. I tried connecting the two conductors together with a piece of wire but i couldent tell if it was working (it probably would have, the main reason for all of this is the machine has been sitting for three years outside so i had to get it going) so i just hot wired the copper wires together. im going to go to the locksmith sometime here soon and get a new key and gorilla tape the key hole back into the body. Its an old machine so i wasent really very sad about cutting into it. Thanks :)
Thanks lew I've just gotten me a 580 Arctic cat with starting issues lol ill be digging into it tomorrow
Keep it up and welcome to TH-cam
Thanks!! Will do!
I like the part where he shows you wtf hes doing
Wait how did you fix the spark problem ?
Im having the same problem with my thumb throttle not tight enough to push on that internal safety without pressure on throttle. How did you fix it?

If you dont have the key can you disconnect the ignition harness? would it start without the key?
