Digit9 , is there a possibity that you will return to making videos. You Are so knowledgable and learned alot from you. Not to many on youtube that's knowledge
@@DIGIT9 Negative on both, am just there at least 3 times a month and they treat me well so I pass on the good word in hope I continue getting good service. Good video. Thank You. Nine digits....lol.....How did you lose it? Crushed my thumb real good. Still looks 👌. Was scared when I took off my glove. Thought I lost it. However was pretty flat.....crushed by a chain.....
@@DIGIT9 I thought same thing new rollers and new weight bushings...of course my Polaris dealer is saying with the grooves in the spider like yours I need a whole new clutch 600$smh
Hey Digit9 or community, quick question. My clutch seems like it has completely seized, the spider wont move at all even when encourage with a hammer and block. Is there such thing as the bushing mechanically welding itself ?? Only 1500 miles on the clutch from new
Just acquired a 2003 arctic cat 550 bearcat and the engine needs to rev high before the clutch engages...whats the problem? why? Belt appears to be in good condition.
Clutch could be sticky from sitting too , good cleaning would help , also look for little flat spots on your weights where the rollers from spyder sit !
@@DIGIT9 Right on, I'm on it as soon as we get some daylight here(alaska) in a few hours! Need that machine for hauling firewood..pronto! Appreciate the insight! Clean the clutch with brake cleaner? It has been sitting for awhile, has 2,400 miles on it.
I’m wondering if my clutch is bad I don’t know a lot about clutches I haven’t taken it off I just put a new belt on and it still seems like it’s rubbing high but I don’t have a lot of power I’m not really going anywhere what could this be caused from? It’s in O2 700 X edge
My clutch won’t slide back and forth like that, it’s like the spider is sticking on shaft, it does have a little play about like yours. If I tap on it with hammer it will move. What could be my problem??

When I try to drive my 2001 Arctic cat Zr 800 the primary clutch engages and spins the belt, but instead of spinning the secondary clutch, the belt just slides on the secondary clutch instead of actually spinning it. Could that mean that the secondary clutch is bad?
@@DIGIT9 i already took the chain case apart and inspected it and everything there was fine. If I jack up the rear of the ski and try going forward the engine will move the track, it’s only when it’s on the ground that it doesn’t want to move and it does what I explained to you.
For some reason when I pull over my snowmobile sometimes it would move forward while trying to pull over and it’s really hard to pull over and when I would rub it it wouldn’t move
@@DIGIT9 Blows man. Especially cause I know Polaris still sells the individual parts to fix em, as opposed to Cat which makes you buy the whole part. Is what it is I guess
How to tell if your primary clutch is worn out... hmm If it has fly weights and rollers and has over 500km it is worn out. Its that simple. Only exception may be skidoo tra but they doo ware out too.

I live near Mcbride off grid , stumbled across your vid . You talk my language. I’m going to fix my clutch. I run a Bravo and a Vk540
Clutch's are basically the same as a Polaris !
Please make more vids this year. Ya'll are awesome.
For all you Canadian boys that don't like dealer prices Recreation Supply out of Saskatoon sells most Polaris clutch parts too
Do you work at Rec Supply? Or know somebody who does?

Where did you get that cabinet your using to work on the clutch. I need a booze/bar/work table. Tks
Allandale trailers in Red Deer AB
Correction, you can buy all those parts for arctic cat. Go see the local dealer and ask the parts guy.

Belt and a pulley , didnt even cut the glove ! Cut it clean off !!
Good video. Do the wear areas on the spider, however minute, mean its out of balance?
not if they are wearing evenly !
Great video. Looking for bushings for a primary on a 92 cat panther deluxe. Where can I source those? Thanks!
Not too sure , try Cat dealers , then the aftermarket ! BDX might have something or SMT ! Try Rec Supply in Saskatoon SK , Canada !
@@DIGIT9 thanks man! Keep posting
Great video. Question for you if the spider has some of that grooving from the weight bushings going out should I replace the spider?
Not necessary , but change bushing in weights , they are binding on your spider !

Well of course a new one would be better but not necessary at this point !

Take cover off and see if it moves

Did you remove cover and take out spring ?
