I think Jordan is counting the cost of following Christ and for him It is very serious because he strives to live out his beliefs, not just espouse them as most of us are prone to do. Thus, once committed, Jordan would bind himself to obey God and his commandments no matter the cost. Thank you Jordan for sharing your heart and mind with the rest of us. Continue to count the cost but know with 100% assurance that giving all to Jesus is always worth it! God bless you Brother!

stfu organized religion is a mental illness based around unearned moral superiority and arrogance (proving my point with your assumption above). Honestly the broken brain of a zealot and a far leftist are no different. Extremism. And Jordan is far more nuanced in his approach to religion he doesn't arrogantly state his faith in an omnipotent cartoon god but the knowledge passed down by man to reach enlightenment. Its his understanding of psychology and his dissection of religion that illustrate the momentousness of humans defying baser instincts to create morality out of thin air but again a zealot like you only sees what they want and has maybe seen 1 hour of his lectures. It is an amazing and hard thing to come to believe, especially given the age that your coming to this knowledge. I fully believe this as well and I think your understanding of things will continue to grow as you continue to seek for Christ. I say this because if he is and was the embodiment of God on earth and is Gods literal son, then he is who he says he is. The creator, alpha and omega, the father and the son, the Son of God, the Redeemer, the Savior, the lamb of god, the word of god, and ultimately he is Jesus Christ. @@seanthomasmusic Definitely impossible.
The wheel of time spins on sin. If you thought what happened in the "Garden of Eden" was a mistake, you weren't paying attention. That's not a curse on humanity, per se, it's the _nature of physical reality._ Put simpler, you wouldn't notice that you were conscious at all, if you weren't tempted by something you know you should resist. That's where the conscious part comes in, and a soul wakes up to find itself a living being.
Of course, this would also mean it's true that we didn't need God or any of it to write that story, because if it's based on truth and reality than it could just be self-evidently obvious to any cave-dwelling philosopher with a keen sense of awareness and enough time spent dwelling on self reflection. So, if wondering if _that's_ true shakes the foundation of your faith, then you never had any to begin with.

High-doses of serotoninergics taken regularly will do that to a (weak) person, and he was never really a strong one. He knows it. The spontaneous bouts of emotion, his inability to sleep often, and of course the withdrawal symptoms are all derivative of the medication he's been taking for years, and he knows it. So, you deserve the truth. It's the painful kind, obviously, in this case. But if you're really interested, you can see some _wild_ spiritual resonance anytime you want, if you find a local dealer. Look for the hippies, and ask them for some "burning bush," they'll get your narrative overlapping with reality faster than you can finish a joint.

I remember talking to her about God’s forgiveness years ago, and I remember her saying: “Doesn’t that sound too good to be true?” I think that puts this whole feeling well. It’s so good that our mind says no way! No way the all knowing, all powerful creator of the universe knows me personally! No way does he love me knowing what I’ve done. No way would he give his own life so that I could be with him….

I believed in Christ as a teenager, but now that I am older and have "wrestled with God" in many areas of life, I became terrified of the deep love of an Almighty Diety that would sacrifice his son for my deprived selfish self. It is overwhelming that Christ allowed himself to take on the sin of the world. One cannot fathom what that means. The deplorable sins and extreme guilt and the narsistic iniquity of all people of all ages was what Christ became on the cross for all mankind that day. That love is unfathomable, and it is found nowhere else. That is why Christ said, "I am the way, the truth and the life"

That is fine and dandy, but what this man needs to do is come to terms with his sinfulness by repenting of the things he has done that violated God's Holy commands, recognize that he, like the rest of the world are sinner. Just like the thief did on the cross, who was next to Jesus. That thief repented and when he died Jesus made sure he was in paradise with Him. This man needs to place his trust in the sacrifice Jesus made 2,000 years ago. Keep in mind that even Satan believes in Jesus. Many believe in Jesus but that is a big difference between believing in Jesus and trusting Him. Belief is an intellectual understanding, but trusting is allow Jesus to do the work for you. This is exactly why Jesus came here 2,000 years ago.

It has become apparent that religion may tear society apart if we aren't careful. Why did someone have to right a book to control people hundreds of years ago? Religion has caused too many wars to count and it needs to stop now. People are literally killing themselves because they believe if they prey enough that God will save them, so they refuse to take medication. Then obviously die. If they don't they will think it worked and tell everybody that God is real etc. Forgetting that other people who didn't believe in God that didn't take medication sometimes survived too.

@@lachlanB323 Lachian I see you are a thinker and you have a number of questions. I also see that you have a little trouble with the usage of the words then and than. Also the word (prey) was misused. The proper spelling is pray. Prey has a different meaning. But I am not here to correct your spelling or teach you the proper usage of words. So if you don't have a good handle on some easy spelling words, there is a great chance you don't have a good handle on other things. Especially those that pertain to spiritual things, God, and Religion.
You instantly loose credibity when you butcher the English language as you have. This is my first tip in helping you and answering some of your questions.
Secondly, please don't confuse Religion with God and Godly things. Religion is man's way of reaching God. God's way of reaching man was thru His only Son Jesus Christ who is God the Son. I am personally not religious. I hate religion, because religion will confuse man and you are correct to a point about religion. There are many different religions so they all can't be right. They can all be wrong or one religion or faith can be the correct one, but finding it is the key. Jesus Christ said, I am the truth and the light and way. Nobody gets to the Father (God) but thru me. So, either Jesus was a liar, a nut or actually God the Son. How you respond to Him will determine where you spend eternity. Jesus will either be your Savior or your Jailer. He allows you to decide.
Thirdly, I would get off the talking point about religion causing war. If it was not for the Christians many years ago, defending the faith, you might be writing this in Islam. Using a talking point without backing it up is like telling me you graduated first in your class and we all know that is not true.
Fourth, you are also confusing many of the fake tv faith healers and other charlatans out there with others who are solid Christians who read the bible and can back it up with sound Scripture verses. I do agree with you that many people have been scammed by these wicked faith healers and religious scammers, but not all are in this same boat. Without the spiritual discernment that it takes it is understandable that you see them all the same. That is where you are derailed once again. Not all are scammers and fakes. Many are, but not all are.
Hope to hear back, and I hope I have not offended you with my criticism of your poor spelling and being so ill informed. Sometimes truth is like a punch in the face and you just got one. Now, I am happy to pick you up and share some truth with you.
All the best. Please keep in touch you do have some good talking points that need corrected.
