DONT ever confirm picked up before getting the food. NEVER
Bad advice man!
I've done more than 3000 deliveries with Doordash, it has diminished tremendously since the new year for some reason, it's like Doordash is trying hard to get rid of older drivers and bring in newbies who will work for less 😢
January is notoriously slow. Everything isn't a conspiracy.
I agree. But it happened to me the second half of last year
Notice how he’ll NEVER speak about that.
Yep!
People have to pay rent and mortgages after three major holidays...
They have the customer pictures now where they want their food. Definitely helps out :)
In NYC we get paid to wait now
I like to set my timer on the phone for 10 minutes when going to pick up somewhere that has been slow before.
After waiting 10 minutes you can unassign with no penality on the ratings.
I just start the timer when I click on " arrived at store " and it's right there on the bottom of the screen.
I don't use the pay by hour only pay per order so sitting still is important.
I did my first delivery 😁
How was it ? Do you have an E bike?
@@Miih94 no, a regular bike.
I will buy one e-bike to get better orders.
4:41 this is something I have constantly noticed. I just don’t get why so many Dashers put the food directly in front of a door, when it clearly opens outward! When I see that in the delivery picture, I say to myself “I guess that’s why I have a perfect 5.00 rating” because I never do that when the door opens out. 😅🤷🏿
HOLY COW I NEVER EVEN CONDIDERED THIS! Derp. 🤪
Great information, I had a interesting 2 orders for Taco Bell last week first came in I accepted it as I’m walking in I get a second order and it say thus order is a additional 200 ft away so I’m like this is perfect great pay for both orders meaning high pay, so I’m thinking to myself I already know what’s going to happen when I get there now as I get there I’m dropping customer A off first so then customer B comes running out hay are you Anthony from Door dash is that Taco Bell I say yes she say no that’s my order I said no your is in the car your neighbor ordered taco bell as well.
I have been placing the food in front of the door. I will start putting the bag on the side of the door. Thnx for the tip.😉👍🏾
You have been a great resource for me with door dash. Keep up the good work.
Very helpful video Bro! Thank you!
Lol thank you. Didn't think of the placement of the food. 3rd day as a dasher
Door dash is self explanatory
Omg, I was wondering which side of the door I should place the order. Thank you
Thanks my man
2:57 Don’t do that ! Never confirm an order before it’s in your hand, hit arrived at store and they have options for if there is a delay. Once you hit confirm order the app thinks you have the order and are delivering it. So if a delay happens it looks like it was your fault.
Honestly, I won't be taking orders under $15 again. Thank you everyone here that helped me I now get larger orders. and my first orders today were around $400 for two trips. orders are now coming in bulk finally said no to low orders.
The newbies will accept everything - and keep the offers low. I started doing what u did- I turn down the $3.10 Uber trips. 😮 yes they are that low. If they could offer $1.00 and drivers clicked it, they will. And still charge customer $10 for the trip 😅
Is this a large city, no zone area? In Orlando we have multiple zones and catering w $50 tip is good but basepay can stink. If we reject everything below $15, would never get orders
Hey I have a question for you BK. Would you mind doing a video about military bases if you have done orders for them yourself or have read stories from other dashers? I have an Air Force base near me and says I have to have the proper credentials to enter the base but before I waste my time doing that I wanna know if it’s worth it or not? Thanks for all of your videos I’ve been watching and applying the tips you give to my experience.
Question I’m going to start using the everlance app for mileage tracking for my door dash business and I noticed that tracking is always on and that you can classify between work, personal and other but there is a tab to turn it off. Now for the question I’m thinking I should turn off while not dashing and only have it on while dashing to make it a little easier would you agree?
Wish i watched this before my first dash lol. I had my daughter ride with me to help out the first day. In Waco TX getting my dash on part time and winning…thanks in advance for more videos
hows it going?
door dash is great for those with adhd/a.d.d. because they know where ALL the food places are as they often binge eat and always need a budget for fast food.
Can you get shop and delivers on EBT when ur prioritized for them?
I'm finding out MAJORITY of my customers don't know we don't get the delivery fee doordash chargers them. That's why they don't tip.
Do you think it's necessary to text customers or only text if there's a wait in the restaurant?
Streak was started in my market.... Accept and Deliver 6 consecutive orders.... Here's the down side that I have happened twice.... You come out to dash... Streak starts, and I am in to 5 completed orders and I notice that the Streak either turned off or expired....
Once it has started, it should be completed at 6 delivered orders....
I feel like it's a scam because I may take that low pay run for the payoff to come later with $9 bonus after 6 orders....
What's your view point?
Rule of thumb…make sure you are at the vendor and hit the ‘arrival’ button within 9 minutes past the ‘pick up by’ time…..and deliver the order within 19 minutes past the ‘deliver by’ time….it’ll prevent you from accumulating contract strikes
See, this is what I think about how the roadblocks and certain stipulations actually deter new drivers. No training. It's like "welcome to the wolf pit."
Today is my first day, and I am already getting the overwhelming feeling to detract me from dashing.
I have never seen the section of the app or you can pull up a screenshot of the last Dashers photo of the door. Where would I find that on the app?
It’s a new feature, I think. At least for me, I never saw it before a few weeks ago. It shows up when you pick up the order and you get the address. But only sometimes.
I am not beginner . Since I watched your videos for while. How can I get back my app???
But front doors don’t swing out words, unless they’re screen doors.
U should show where features are
Great tips except, in California, if you’re waiting at a restaurant, that’s active time and you ARE getting paid for that.
I declined a order and it came right back to me again, it was 42mi and $28
💯👍
My guy Bentley is still out here pumping out videos. Salute
Hanging on tight lmao... gigs are dead
@@honestpolicy5031 they aren't what they used to be. But there is still money to be made. I actually make more now then I did back then. I shifted away from restaurant apps and moved over to the grocery apps
I’m still trying to combat the situation of sitting there for hours without getting any offers in a major west coast, urban city. If I don’t get offers, I can’t either accept or deny orders, and then I don’t pay my gas costs.
Happy New Year 🎉 Happy Friday
Where is the playlist for new dashers?
At 5:57 on the video - shows two video links to the left of him. Choose the bottom one. :)
My acceptance rate is 72% right now. As long as I stay in the 💚 green, I'm good.👍🏾
Ummm so what are the 4 steps to HUGE Doordash payouts again??? This is giving 4 steps on how to Doordash. 🙄
What’s the difference?
@@DoordashDiariesyou’re saying every DoorDash order is a huge payout? Lmaoooo you’re slow as the DD app 😂 DD owns your little 🙉 a$$
There's no training because this isn't a job. Each Dasher is an independent contractor. Self employed. It's a business, not a job.
But, yeah, new Dashers should be researching how to do the work better. They need to train themselves. Maybe DoorDash could do a better job of pointing new contractors to resources, but they have to be careful. They don't want to be seen as endorsing sources of information who might be spreading misinformation.
What I'd like to see is more new Dashers understanding they haven't just taken a job with little supervision, but rather they are now their own employee, which also makes them their own boss, and they're going to have to approach it with maturity because there is no boss to keep them from failing, except themselves.
Being a Dasher isn't a job. It's your own little small business with all the responsibilities of owning your own business.
Door dash is a scam.
Step one, get a real job.
Right like people with real jobs don’t struggle. Your smart ass lives paycheck to paycheck just like us.
@@DoordashDiariesHe lives paycheck to paycheck because he dashes and great language from someone who is supposed to represent DoorDash. You don’t even post ridealongs every week/every other day lol but you’re telling dashers how they’re supposed to work and what to do. Make that make sense without getting emotional like the single mother who raised you.
if you choose hourly any time u r on the app u r a full time employee time to make a union plus bennyies people chose a unionplus if u get into a crash u r on doordash time that makes them libel if u get hurt workmans comp
people need to stick together for better pay dont be afraid door dash wake up
screw it unionize lets do it someone lets talk
teamsters r u interested

First of all, ain't nobody clicking "read more. Second, you didn't make $400 so stop lying 😂
If I sat around waiting for 15$ tips I’d be just sitting in my car all day.. idk how y’all do it
