      I have noticed that I am being offered 2-3 $ and I am Platinum! After I decline a offer for a low amount, they will immediately send me 2 or 3 more orders just like that one so that if I keep declining, my acceptance rate drops to a low percentage and I am then forced to accept the offer to remain in the platinum program! Not to mention that if I decline one offer, my acceptance rates drops by 1% but I have to accept and complete about 10 offers before I gain that 1% back! Is that the norm?

    im usually making $20 an hour when I dash. My whole goal is to make $100 or more everytime.
    It is very important to set up a goal.

      I do agree my goals. Always 30 to 40 deliveries within a week with my disabilities. As most I cand I'm always gonna top Dasher. I sure I'm in a good area, the thing is. I'm right in the car now. Cause my car broke down and it's cost me more money. But the gas is good in the car and the mileage. Wise, but my phone messing up. There was a lot of things going on in the last couple of days that I could not make any money in the last 3 days and I started to know you like this and I was very upset. I'm trying to purchase me a car but that's my goal. I got 1 day To make at least 4 to 500 dolland finally got the phone's working correctly.. I listened I left in twenty four hours

    I’m learning as I go, mistakes I’ve made so far are accepting without looking at the distance, distance is key right now. I had a wonderful $17.75 order but didn’t realize it was over 10 miles… took me a total of an hour from start to finish so in hindsight, it was not worth it.

    • @kesa7669
      @kesa7669 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes!!! I might take that order ONLY IF that 10 miles takes me to another area with a lot of restaurants and opportunities. Otherwise, the order is really $17.75 for 20 miles because you have to drive back the busy area. Or, if I am far from home, Door Dash typically gives me a long dash but it brings me close to home at the end of my dash, so I am going that way anyway.

    This is why logging metric data is so important when doing gig work. I see a lot of comments telling people to "never take anything under $5" but no one ever seems to be able to prove that it's "unprofitable." It's anecdotal and market dependent.
    It reminds me in Moneyball when Pete and Billy try to drive home the point that in order to get wins, you need runs which translates to getting on base. "Getting on base" in this scenario means taking orders that still fit your metrics because it all regresses to the mean over time. No one gets rich waiting on unicorn orders like they wanna believe.

    • @suzanneelmore770
      @suzanneelmore770 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No one makes any money taking lowball offers with 2x the miles! Offers like $4 for 7 mi and $2 for 1.5 mi and $6 for 11 mi. And it goes like that ALL DAY LONG. I was taking everything and my offers never improved. If I got a $17 fir 12 mi it took me so far off the grid, I was on nothing but dirt road after dirt road after dirt road, got lost cuz no road had any road signs and the offers dropped like ton of bricks. I’d start heading out of there back my town that only gives me shitty offers and they kept trying to keep me stuck out there offering the usual $4 fir 8 mi or worse! I’d drive 80 miles to Orlando just to see if offers get any better in a large population.

  • @kesa7669

    I would typically accept Chic-fil-a offer at about 5 miles for that amount BECAUSE in my area, more times than not, I will get a 2nd order while in store that only adds a couple miles. So, I'd end up with 2 orders than would give me close to $14 for 7/8 miles. And, my Chic-fil-a is quick also, so I am in and out.

      When the app takes me out of my zone, I hit 'end dash' and then 'dash now' in a new zone. I am not waiting for the app to catch up with me. Also, if I ever take a order with a delivery far away, I hit 'pause' and drive back to a busy area and then 'resume dash' so I don't have to decline orders and hurt my acceptance rating.

    Commenting on this part way through so perhaps it's addressed, but the thing is at 8:02 you show a dash. Assuming that's indicative of an average dash for you, then you only made 16.24/hour based off of dash time. Now sure if you apply it to active time it's around 23.65/hr. But honestly the only time active time should actually be considered is if you're multi-apping and figuring out which app is what percentage of your time/revenue. So unless you tell me that during that dash time you also made 40 or 50 with another app(s), then once you take into account expenses I question if you made more than min. wage.

    You must live in a different universe.. Good info, but here in FL, I'd never in a million years take a Popyees order because I'd sit there waiting 25 mins. McDonalds around here are the same some of the worst places to get orders. 99% that it's never ready when I get to them and I'll be waiting at least 10 mins. The only time I take McDonalds in my area is if I'm starting my shift because it's the closest place once I'm out I never go to them unless I'm doing EBT for some reason.
    My issue is I was averaging 20/hr last year, but since the 1st of this year, it's like a light switch flipped off. Can barely average $16-17 anymore and even that doesn't last it goes dead. This entire month I've only made $60-80/day vs before I'd do $120-150. It's like they flipped off the switch..
    I've always had bad AR, so I got my AR to 85% and then this week was the worst week I've ever had and I had a high AR. I've tried EBT and did $180 on it the 2nd day then it went dead..

I may get a 12 or $13 delivery but it takes me down near an hour to go there and get back to the hot zone... However I'll drive all night long making these type of orders... The frustration is gas... The money I earn goes right back into the tank most nights... That's just part of it... And I dare not dash during the day... It's like working for free
