I've never in my life replaced something on my car before. I've always been way too intimidated. you made this so easy a 54 year old lady could do it! THANK YOU!

The TH-cam algorithm doesn't like these kind of videos, it's good to know that these videos are helping people out somewhere.

I have a 2018 Honda Fit Ex. I keep my car well maintained by taking it to the Honda dealership. That being said, I'll change my own air filters (super easy). Thank you for such a thorough video! I can now change my garnish on my tailgate. 🥰

Honda dealerships (stealerships) probably don't like you because you're saving people money. You're a good person. ❤

That's awesome to hear and thank you! They don't mind at all.
I was recently invited to and attended the grand opening of the largest Honda dealership in the world!

My husband has broken this rear assembly on my fit twice by accidentally pulling on the plastic piece instead of the handle to open the trunk and with how easily this is removed I am not surprised it cracked haha. I am now going to buy my own part and replace it instead of paying the dealer to do something so simple. Unfortunately since fits are discontinued the piece is still $200 (ouch) but I'm so glad you've made the video explaining how to do it on my own.

I wonder what the dealership would have charged you for labor?
I know, prices are so crazy and most of the nearby junkyards have closed :(

This is amazing. I had to get my trunk handle repaired, as it was sticking. The shop quoted me more than I was willing to to replace the trunk garnish (the handle was starting to stick, and someone forcefully tried to open trunk, in the process the garnish broke in half).
This is going to be my weekend project now

    • @HondaFit4Adventure
      @HondaFit4Adventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Glad it helped! Are you going to get a garnish online or practice removing one at a junkyard?
If your handle gets stuck again try this th-cam.com/video/-YTrKrG8p-o/w-d-xo.html
I've had the mechanism replaced and it happened again. (Shrugs Shoulders)

@@HondaFit4Adventure Hey, thank you for the reply. I ended up ordering one online, as I didn't have much time to explore local junkyards.
I had to revisit your video, as I thought I got something wrong. The wiper blade arm was stuck due to rust apparently... So after some banging on it, I managed to take it off.
I'll keep the trunk mechanism video in mind, just in case for future reference.
Really appreciate the video and the content you put out!
      Thanks

Thank you very very much - I just purchased my ife a 2015 Honda Fit with less than 50k miles on it - it is in great condition but I didn't notice that the rear trim as cracked down the middle - I purchased an OEM peice and was going to take the car to a place to have them replace this part - I must have wathced this video 15 times to get my confidence that I could do it myself. I went to the auto store and puchased my first Socket Wrench Set and 5 min later the rear garnish is brand new - that deserves a like / a sub / and a comment - Appreciate you - Keep up the great videos

Good evening sir, what country are you trying to order from?
I would try eBay or possibly RockAuto.
I've never ordered from Rock Auto personally, but a lot of Honda Fit owners bring up that website in the Honda Fit Owners Group on FaceBook.

      - Replacing Chrome with black garnish
      - Wrapping Chrome with black Vinyl
      - Replacing broken garnish
      - Wiper Delete
