Dope vid!! Again great stuff on the Fit!! You have the dream garage. It must be so nice to have your spanners and tools all in a row and not have to hunt around for things
Thank You! I'm not sure if you've watched the other video, but here's a link to the "Step by Step Headliner Removal Instructions" filmed with some more angles and at a more casual pace. th-cam.com/video/q9FB7NK1Z8g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UcWro5XSTJnfk4os I'm trying purchase a totalled Honda Fit to take a part and document, bolt by bolt. :)
Your Welcome! I'm not sure if you still need this but here's the full length step by step version. th-cam.com/video/q9FB7NK1Z8g/w-d-xo.html Let me know if you have any requests.
Aww Haha no I didn’t get to see the step by step video, I didn’t know you had one, but this was still very helpful and allowed me take it off myself, you saved me a lot of money! Thx buddy!
I don't think I've seen anyone use butyl rubber on the roof, just the floor boards. I ended up using KilMat sound deadening sheets. th-cam.com/video/Zv6BcxVzr6M/w-d-xo.html Sound deadening the roof is a must for roof rack owners!
Any chance you could post a couple clear photos (or make a video) of the interior roof without the headliner? I’m considering whether it makes sense to try to install a permanent roof rack to a 2009 Fit, and am curious what kind of supports exist besides the thin sheet metal exterior. I can see at least one wider crossbeam, but can’t see what is aluminum and what, if anything, steel.
Thank you. I've disassembled and documented removing everything. I've removed almost everything on the inside except for the dash 🙃 I might do a live stream and tear down the whole car and put it all together just because 😆
@@HondaFit4Adventure Weeeeelll... Have you ever removed the roof on a honda fit? Mine is badly hail damaged, and I'm ready to pick one up at a junk yard, only I don't know where to cut. If you've ever done a video on that, I'd love to see it. Thanks again for a great instructional video!

Great step-by-step on the process, I just installed an antenna mount in the center of my roof in about an hour and a half. Thanks !
What kind of Antenna? I have a CB radio Antenna attached to my rear bumper.
I also need to upgrade my VHF / UHF antenna.
Subscribed. I like the detail of how you took this apart. Hopefully we can see other cars. You’re awesome. Thank you.
Thankyou! Hopefully you found the step by step video as well and not just the speed run.

The Honda dealership was quoting me $575 of labor for doing this, and bolting the seat belt part on. Thanks for the video.
Glad it helped!
This is not the funnest project to do but, the removal and install should only take an hour or two if it's your first time.
Amazing! Thank you so much! You need more views!
Thank You! Here is the full Step by Step version.

The roof loves some sound deadening via butyl rubber.

@@HondaFit4Adventure that's the same stuff I used! Tried to cover all the sheet metal. My mistake I thought it was butyl rubber

Also, I realize that the roof isn’t rated to carry much, but I figure a stronger and lighter rack means more capacity left over.
that was amazing.
