Another thing i noticed is, if you have wallpaper engine running that can also affect the color. But you can change it in (Settings) and then go to (plugins) and change it there. That fixed my problem.
Hello Guys! Tip from me, if someone have the problem in 2024, with his RGB Ram, just install iCue V4 and it fixed it for me! Hopefully it fixes it for you too!
I wish that I had done research before buying Corsair with RBG and this iCue, its been complete TRASH for me! Each day is a bad experience and cost lot to have so much issues. iCue 5 dont install correctly, your force to download the iCue 4 and then update within, your having to constantly unistall and reinstall, lose color settings and parts hard to recognize to add more device. The Corsair tech support knows oh so little while you have to turn for support from TH-camrs. Thanks for the help :)

Honestly, I got tired of Corsair BS for iCue and had many problems myself. I just recently got Engine Wallpaper and got lucky with colors I have "Harley Quinn" Pink, White, and Blue RBG colors. My icons I customized myself, maybe try finding wallpaper with colors you like and change Wallpaper in Windows, maybe? You can also check your save profile in iCue to see if there was a setting previously there. The RBG coloring can be tricky though. I'm responding cause you replay to my comment unsteady of content creator my friend. Best of luck. I hope my suggestion helps.
My problem was certain apps taking control of lighting. Go to settings >> Go to SDK >> Block all apps taking control of lighting. Unless you have something that makes it where it changes lighting depending on what's on your screen then you can probably keep it unblocked.
Okay People, this video didn't help me, but I found the solution to MY problem, which was that set up wizard when doing auto detect would randomly choose a fan to not detect for RGB. Solution: Manually detect and set the fans to their specific type as needed, not all of them will have the coloured indicator but this way allows you to make sure all six are included. Then go into lighting effects and do what you need to do, and hopefully like me the fan should be detected. Now, of course this isn't a catch all fix but this was what worked for me, to whoever finds this and it helps them, I salute you as I know your pain. Should be that simple, I spent an hour unplugging the commander core while my PC was on to try and reset the firmware, manually reordering the fans in the hub slots etc and even was assuming it was a hardware defect. It was not. TLDR: Set-Wizard & Icue in general is DOG SH-- but manually detect and set the fans, ignore the missing RGB indicator and then add a lighting effect. Should work hopefully, if not good luck.
I'm going to say it here incase anyone is struggling with setting up the rgb on their keyboards using the icue software. In order for the rgb settings and effects to save/stay on when you don't have icue open, you need to completely close the icue software in task manager once you've finished customizing everything. What should happen is that after you saved everything to the profile, you will click on the hardware rgb settings, then click whatever custom rgb lights you set up, then when you are ready go to task manager, close everything that says icue. If you did it correctly, the rgb lights on your keyboard will stay on.
Mine seems to be working good and I'm on version 5.5.134 and I have updated thru the iCue itself, so far my blue scheme has not changed in the last month and a half which is when I built the system, but all this seems like good advice if ya have problems.👍
My problem is: Sometime some if the corsair RGB parts are just not showing up. Sometime RAM Leds are just noch shown or a hub is not initialized. No clue whats going on.
@@theawkwardpotato1973 I think I solved my problem or at least drastically improved my problem. My RAM setting in the BIOS was set to a wrong speed. Maybe that will help you too. I have a Z690 Chip. My RAM is an 3200Mhz but was set at 2133Mhz in BIOS.
Had a similar issue with my Razer products a while back, and I’ve gotta say the classic “did you try uninstalling and then reinstalling” trick we have from working in IT just works swimmingly each time it starts to fuss with my settings. 😂
Urm, by accident I've ordered a white rgb beast with icue aio cpu and case fans . Also by accident I've found out that the new mobo is Asus and uses Aura link and i also have Philips hue in the room, loving your videos on the topic...cant wait till get it all setup and intergrated into games.
Hi. No one seems to address certain problems. I have RGB lights going out all together. I currently have one fan with the RGB out. Also, it was all working just fine, every time I switch it on something else goes wrong. The control core isnt seeing the fans at all so I can't interact with the RPM's, never mind the lighting. About the only thin that work is the RGB on the ram. Its a dreadful software.
I was having issues with my Vengeance RGB pro 2x16GB DDR4 not working with iCUE v5, but switching back to v4 fixed it. Now my RAM sticks are synced and sexy.

Updated it recently to find that it no longer works the same way and cannot use the same colour scheme as before, seems like a really bizarre shift for an upgrade. Not sure i'll use this AIO cooler again.
For me everything worked fine but for about 2 months it just won't use the static color for my H150i Elite LCD. The other cases which are connected to the lightning node core are working just fine. Before those two month everything worked as setup by me. I tried reinstallation but it still won't set the correct hardware lighting for the H150i Elite LCD.
Weird thing is, I was having no problems just doing basic things with my keyboard and mouse for the longest time but I recently went to try and mess around and learn a little more and I couldn't get back to editing the color profiles on EITHER one. All it shows is the system graphs. Uninstalled, went to reinstall, said to delete the folder that it wanted to set as default, deleted the Corsair folder like everything online said, and now it says: 'CORSAIR iCUE5 Software' folder is not empty. I can't find that folder period. Why it doesn't uninstall with the program itself is beyond me and I'm about to give up with this awful software. Nothing about this is user friendly.
Recently upgraded to Corsair DDR5 Dominator Platinum ram and icue would not recognize it. All I had to do was update my bios (ASUS motherboard) and then turn on SPD write option. Worked fine after that. Also, one of my friends had the same problem (MSI motherboard), all he had to do was install the MSI plugin on the icue software
My only question is, why not making it simple? I still have the issue where it resets when I close the app after setting it up in hardware lighting. It is pretty frustrating. I have the same color set up in both software and hardware, but then it goes back to black after closing the app. FYI it is the latest version. Don't know what to do.
I’ve been having a random USB disconnect sound and I know the Icue is causing because the AIO lcd goes black every time the sound plays. The solution is to put it on hardware mode and uninstall the software.
New owner. I have 13 QX link fans, I can't change the order or rotate the fans in icue. I'm not sure why it's not working lve like you demonstrated here. Using latest software.
It's a pain in the arse and without really thinking, I've bought that Scuf Envision Pro and it's setup through icue. Earlier when it did it usual cut to the rainbow pattern and stops recognising certain hardware I had to quickly change my controller back to the old one because my scuff also went to a default setting. Even if I close down and restart the icue app it still doesn't work until I restart the pc all together.
The lighting of my front panel fans (3xRGB) suddenly just stopped working after 6 months with the case. The panel and fans are detected in iCue, they spin but there is no lighting. I can't figure out what happened nor how to fix it.
i have the hardware lighting set to white but for whatever reason when i close the app my ram turns red and i have to reopen it i reinstalled and tried making another profile but idk how to stop it from changing
Well... I just take a look how much of my CPU ryzen 5700x3d, iCue Software 5.19.104, It was using 9% with others iCue process: Total 10%. All this to control 3 fans and two memories.
Does anyone have any idea why the QX 120/140 fans, the H170i and the LINK HUB are not recognized by iCUE? Only the Corsair Dominators are recognized by the software.
I followed your guide here to be able to determine which fan is which. When I run the wizard, and it comes back all of my fans have different colors but I don't have them lighting up like yours does. Mine will be all yellow, or all green. Even using the rotation button at the bottom to try and identify them doesn't move the lights. So I have no idea which fan is which (custom built by a 3rd party).
Very strange. I'm not sure what to suggest there. Though sometimes something as stupidly simple as uninstalling iCue and redownloading and reinstalling can fix issues.

I have been having issues with USB ports. I was able to confirm that Corsair hardware has, for some time now, had compatibility issues with AM4 sockets. This issue resulted in a USB port switched on and off so frequently that it corrupted an external harddrive. Now inputs from XBox controllers through USB are being activated together. For example, pressing up in GTA5 on the analog stick moves the character forward as well as execute the operation of the up command on the digital direction pad. Anyone have any udeas on how to fix this?

I'm having a bit of problem with my LL120 where the white seems to be more of like yellowish, I have set of ML120 and LL120 both on separate controllers but I can't help to notice that the white on LL120 are more on the yellow side compared to the ML120s
All my fans and pump head stay how I've set then but my rams keep going back to rainbow and when I open the icue app it's not even picking the rams up now
Hello, so I have 4 icue LED strips plugged into icue lighting node , I have updated the firmware and software but I still get random rainbow flashing from my LED strip’s only. Even though I have tried many different hardware light settings please help. The rainbow flashing fights between my hardware settings present during the boot sequence. Rainbow flashing, doesn’t appear like any effect like seems to be really random and glitchy. Please help 🙏🏽
I need help! I think some software is controling my fans lighting, but it only controles my fans, iCUE also detects the fans but doesnt change their lighting what could be controling my fans lighting and how do I make delet it?
I want to control the color of each fan and my Corsair AIO. I have a Commander XT and cannot control each RGB. I did it once and now I cant remember how I did it. I can get to a screen that shows each fan, and the CPU cooler. All I want to do is change the AIO CPU color to red and make it pulse like its the heartbeat and leave the other fans a certain color. I know it can be done, but the icue seams to not be cooperating. It seems like it should be straightforward. Like clicking and right clicking, then save. can someone help or direct me to a video? icue detects only 2 fans, out of 6 fans, my motherboard is working the fans in the front are trying to do something the fan in the back does not have any color at all graphics card rgb is working, ram rgb is working, if Icue dont detect my fans i can't change the colors or use a profile correctly.
I installed dragon center, everything stopped working. I realised that with my SP120's by selecting the hardware in iCue as SP series......they didn't work I literally thought they were broken. 8 LED Series made them work. So strange. . .
Yep went corsair all theway, case fans so on and have tried everything stuck withthat puke rainbow color nothing affects it uninstalled reinstalled . The only lighting I can effect is the corsair dominator memory. Lot of money wasted
I've scrubbed icue from my system four times, It refuses to do anything anymore, just rainbow rainbow rainbow all the time. Same pattern shows even when there is no software of any kind to control the fans with in existence anywhere on the machine.
For me somehow my Icue says when i try to download it: The folder CROSAIR ICUES Software folder is not empty. It was working all fine yesterday and the days before . Any fix?
Had this EXACT issue as well. I think I just got lucky with my "fix" but here is what I did. First, uninstall iCUE via apps and features. Go to local disk, Program Files, Corsair, Corsair iCUE5 Software. If there are any files in there, drag and drop them to your desktop. Try running the installer again and it should work. did for me at least. After the install, restart your PC and delete the file you dragged to your desktop. I'm no expert and only did this after raging at my PC for a solid hour while testing different fixes. 😅
Literally just uninstalled it. It keeps breaking/uninstalling itself. Today it wouldn't let me repair or uninstall it. So I followed the command prompt guide someone made and finally 'repaired' it enough so I could uninstall it. I only use static lightning, mainly to match my rtx card since I can't change the colors on it (it's an Asus 2060), and wanted my ram sticks to match it. Well, I uninstalled Cue and my ram still matches the colors of my gpu lol. So, at least my case still matches. But my god it's broken/needed repairing 6 times this year alone. Good riddance.
i don't have that all i have is the mouse and keybaord all that other stuff like hareware lighting name i do not have and my mouse for some reason goes off when i open the app??????????
Hello, wanted to ask if there's a possibility that some led's heve failed during use? I mean i got x3 Sp120 RGB Elite fans back on 2022 and they were working perfectly fine but nowadays ive noticed that from the 8 leds 2-3 of them are shinning different colors, and when i want for example to make a static white color it's more like yellow or even when i use purple color those 2-3 leds shine red instead. Is there any fix for this? Are they "broken" or i can do some update or something to bring them back to their supposed working state? Thanks a lot.
I have been having so much issues with Icue. Once I boot on my k65 mini keyboard turns on and off on Icue and Icue is constantly crashing.. I uninstalled and reinstalled with fresh software and still having issues crashing and not working with the fans and ram. anyone have any help on what I should do?
@@knottymullet4725Sorry for the late late reply I never got a notification when you replied but I ended up completely uninstalling Corsair from appdata to programs data and having a new clean installation of Icue 4 and it worked for a couple months but went back to red again sadly.
Yea, turns out none of that actually worked. I change all the lighting settings and they don't change on the hardware. Just rainbow puke no matter what I change it to.
mine is so glitchy, Im using the hardware lighting and when closing icue or even clicing home on icue the colours go back to default rainbow. only time it stays on the colours I want is if I dont close ICUE. Garbage app.

my aio h150i icue link lcd is daisy chained with the commander core xt that came with my case corsair 7000x rgb and when i go into icue it does not show my aio cooler as detected, the aio cooler and commander core xt are on splitters to one usb header as instructed, anyone help me with this? i've researched a lot about this too as much as i could find

I have a problem where one day it was find the rgb was on and working then I booted my pc up the next day and there was no rgb at all Ive tried everything but there is just no rgb anymore. Hey provoked prawn! Maybe you can help me trouble shoot this but I cannot install or update icue v4 to v5 at all. I get stuck on 0% with preparing for installation. I have tried troubleshooting on line with every suggestion I think I could have tried. Maybe you have another idea as to why this is not working? I just got all the linked systems for corsair and would really like this system to actually work. If you can provide any feedback or help I would appreciate it!
Here's how you fix iCue: Uninstall, sell your corsair parts and get something from a decent brand, preferably without RGB(those are for children). Only thing anyone should ever be buying from Corsair is PSUs
they released new version on 29 Oct 2024 and its still buggy , building new PC I would avoid their products becaus eof this buggy software or buy something that doesn't require ICUE

I had problems with icue v5 but now it's been good lately. my ram was not being recognized at first, i just needed a restart.

Did they remove the firmware update option? It doesnt appear in my icue program under software update like yours did

i have the hardware lighting set to white but for whatever reason when i close the app my ram turns red and i have to reopen it i reinstalled and tried making another profile but idk how to stop it from changing

Well... I just take a look how much of my CPU ryzen 5700x3d, iCue Software 5.19.104, It was using 9% with others iCue process: Total 10%. All this to control 3 fans and two memories.
Does anyone have any idea why the QX 120/140 fans, the H170i and the LINK HUB are not recognized by iCUE?
Only the Corsair Dominators are recognized by the software.

I followed your guide here to be able to determine which fan is which. When I run the wizard, and it comes back all of my fans have different colors but I don't have them lighting up like yours does. Mine will be all yellow, or all green. Even using the rotation button at the bottom to try and identify them doesn't move the lights. So I have no idea which fan is which (custom built by a 3rd party).
Very strange. I'm not sure what to suggest there. Though sometimes something as stupidly simple as uninstalling iCue and redownloading and reinstalling can fix issues.
s there a function to turn off the memory backlight when you go into sleep mode? Aura turns off the entire motherboard except the memory?

I have been having issues with USB ports. I was able to confirm that Corsair hardware has, for some time now, had compatibility issues with AM4 sockets. This issue resulted in a USB port switched on and off so frequently that it corrupted an external harddrive. Now inputs from XBox controllers through USB are being activated together. For example, pressing up in GTA5 on the analog stick moves the character forward as well as execute the operation of the up command on the digital direction pad. Anyone have any udeas on how to fix this?
My fans used to work fine now all of a suddent the rgb doesnt work and when i try again only 1 fan lights up

I'm having a bit of problem with my LL120 where the white seems to be more of like yellowish, I have set of ML120 and LL120 both on separate controllers but I can't help to notice that the white on LL120 are more on the yellow side compared to the ML120s
Everything was fine now all the sudden my triangles don't work but will come on after my pc been on for awhile..it's really weird
All my fans and pump head stay how I've set then but my rams keep going back to rainbow and when I open the icue app it's not even picking the rams up now

Hello, so I have 4 icue LED strips plugged into icue lighting node , I have updated the firmware and software but I still get random rainbow flashing from my LED strip’s only. Even though I have tried many different hardware light settings please help. The rainbow flashing fights between my hardware settings present during the boot sequence. Rainbow flashing, doesn’t appear like any effect like seems to be really random and glitchy. Please help 🙏🏽

I have an Corsair H60x RGB Elite and the fan would light up, only the box thing over the CPU.
I have corsair h100x rgb elite and they do not appear in the corsair icue program.
I want to control the color of each fan and my Corsair AIO. I have a Commander XT and cannot control each RGB. I did it once and now I cant remember how I did it. I can get to a screen that shows each fan, and the CPU cooler. All I want to do is change the AIO CPU color to red and make it pulse like its the heartbeat and leave the other fans a certain color. I know it can be done, but the icue seams to not be cooperating. It seems like it should be straightforward. Like clicking and right clicking, then save.

icue detects only 2 fans, out of 6 fans, my motherboard is working the fans in the front are trying to do something
the fan in the back does not have any color at all graphics card rgb is working, ram rgb is working, if Icue dont detect my fans

I installed dragon center, everything stopped working. I realised that with my SP120's by selecting the hardware in iCue as SP series......they didn't work I literally thought they were broken. 8 LED Series made them work. So strange. . .
Sometimes different apps interfere with each other. I think iCue has an integration with MSI you can activate in the settings

Yep went corsair all theway, case fans so on and have tried everything stuck withthat puke rainbow color nothing affects it uninstalled reinstalled . The only lighting I can effect is the corsair dominator memory. Lot of money wasted

Sure, you could set it all to black in iCue and adjust brightness
I've scrubbed icue from my system four times, It refuses to do anything anymore, just rainbow rainbow rainbow all the time. Same pattern shows even when there is no software of any kind to control the fans with in existence anywhere on the machine.

For me somehow my Icue says when i try to download it: The folder CROSAIR ICUES Software folder is not empty. It was working all fine yesterday and the days before . Any fix?
Had this EXACT issue as well.
I think I just got lucky with my "fix" but here is what I did.
First, uninstall iCUE via apps and features.
Go to local disk, Program Files, Corsair, Corsair iCUE5 Software.
If there are any files in there, drag and drop them to your desktop.
Try running the installer again and it should work. did for me at least.
After the install, restart your PC and delete the file you dragged to your desktop.
I'm no expert and only did this after raging at my PC for a solid hour while testing different fixes. 😅
Literally just uninstalled it. It keeps breaking/uninstalling itself.
Today it wouldn't let me repair or uninstall it. So I followed the command prompt guide someone made and finally 'repaired' it enough so I could uninstall it.
I only use static lightning, mainly to match my rtx card since I can't change the colors on it (it's an Asus 2060), and wanted my ram sticks to match it.
Well, I uninstalled Cue and my ram still matches the colors of my gpu lol. So, at least my case still matches.
But my god it's broken/needed repairing 6 times this year alone. Good riddance.

Hello, wanted to ask if there's a possibility that some led's heve failed during use? I mean i got x3 Sp120 RGB Elite fans back on 2022 and they were working perfectly fine but nowadays ive noticed that from the 8 leds 2-3 of them are shinning different colors, and when i want for example to make a static white color it's more like yellow or even when i use purple color those 2-3 leds shine red instead. Is there any fix for this? Are they "broken" or i can do some update or something to bring them back to their supposed working state? Thanks a lot.
I've not experienced this so can't comment. But it's probably worth googling. Could be hardware issue.
I have been having so much issues with Icue. Once I boot on my k65 mini keyboard turns on and off on Icue and Icue is constantly crashing.. I uninstalled and reinstalled with fresh software and still having issues crashing and not working with the fans and ram. anyone have any help on what I should do?

@@knottymullet4725Sorry for the late late reply I never got a notification when you replied but I ended up completely uninstalling Corsair from appdata to programs data and having a new clean installation of Icue 4 and it worked for a couple months but went back to red again sadly.

Yea, turns out none of that actually worked. I change all the lighting settings and they don't change on the hardware. Just rainbow puke no matter what I change it to.
1) don't buy corsair hardware

the Corsir app is not working unable to delete or reinstall or repair it worked fine on window 10
mine is so glitchy, Im using the hardware lighting and when closing icue or even clicing home on icue the colours go back to default rainbow. only time it stays on the colours I want is if I dont close ICUE. Garbage app.

my aio h150i icue link lcd is daisy chained with the commander core xt that came with my case corsair 7000x rgb and when i go into icue it does not show my aio cooler as detected, the aio cooler and commander core xt are on splitters to one usb header as instructed, anyone help me with this? i've researched a lot about this too as much as i could find

Icue wanted me to Update... Corsair Commander Pro and Six SIMPLE Corsair Lighted-Fans worked fine until update now they are BLACK ??? I've spent HOURS &^^%%^$^%$-ing around and can't get them to light up NOTHING ??? and ALL I did was Update July 10 2024 5.16.75..... Even reinstalled from Corsair site

I have a problem where one day it was find the rgb was on and working then I booted my pc up the next day and there was no rgb at all Ive tried everything but there is just no rgb anymore. Anyone had this issue and know a fix? the problem is with a h100x elite liquid cooler still works normal just all the rgb no longer turns on
Why did they make the icue software SO. FREAKING. UNINTUITIVE? My mouse's lighting is now just straight-up not working and I can't figure out why.
Set mouse to brightness 33% in device settings within iCue. It's crazy how bad this app is.

Hey provoked prawn! Maybe you can help me trouble shoot this but I cannot install or update icue v4 to v5 at all. I get stuck on 0% with preparing for installation. I have tried troubleshooting on line with every suggestion I think I could have tried. Maybe you have another idea as to why this is not working? I just got all the linked systems for corsair and would really like this system to actually work. If you can provide any feedback or help I would appreciate it!

Here's how you fix iCue: Uninstall, sell your corsair parts and get something from a decent brand, preferably without RGB(those are for children).
Only thing anyone should ever be buying from Corsair is PSUs
they released new version on 29 Oct 2024 and its still buggy , building new PC I would avoid their products becaus eof this buggy software or buy something that doesn't require ICUE

You can do that in iCue. Just go in and select single colour from the hardware mode
