- Today we take a look at the corsair icue link hardware in my custom water cooled gaming pc build. There are good and bad things to talk about with corsair icue link components. I spent 4 months testing this water cooling gear out and i wanted to give you my feedback and personal experience with this gear.

So we remove our existing wiring mess to add another one with 3x the cost, thanks I won’t do it after all 😂
Prettier wires and connected differently too. And you get internal USB-C ports and cables, which is always more better.

Bribery with shiny bling makes reviewers go silent about the truth that iCue has never ever worked flawless, always some problem, fix one problem , create two new problems. The software is what kills the brand.
You could use an usb header splitter to conect the lcd waterblock and the other components.
Ran into some of the same issues. Particularly the input and outputs of radiators and the cable locations for fans makes you really think about how you are going to connect everything. Takes the ease of use of these products and throws them down the drain.

Corsair should be embarrassed by how ugly that GPU cooler is. Why the hell would it not cover the whole GPU?

This gpu cooler doesn't even cool the vrms
Sorry but I just couldn't put that frankenstien GPU block anywhere near my custom loop. Oh and everything that Corsair want to charge 1k for, Aquasuite gives so much more info for so much less.
at ekwb similar with gpu block and 2 radiators also minimum 1k
This is something I’ve been looking for. Everyone talks about the Aio and the daisy chain fans. No one has talked about the custom loop and water cooling side of this

Just FYI if you plugged the plug in first then the fitting you could have plugged it in
or extend the fitting with an extender, but hey, content creators need to make content haha

Brother doesn't the corsair 7000 case have 4 usb 3 ports and not usb 2 up front? And it's not have usb 2 so why you need your motherboard usb 2 header for front panel please reply
very neat idea but the price... like custom watercooling wasn't expensive enough.
I have one older system that is watercooled, but I won't watercool my newer system because of how expensive it has become.
I seriously consider getting those Chinese components when I will upgrade my older system and I will need newer blocks maybe change the case and get new radiators.

Outrageously expensive. That's what Corsair has become. Though that doesn't mean you get your money's worth.
6 products per channel AIO with LCD and 3 fans will fill up 1 channel as the LCD screen counts as 2 devices.

I love my corsair link. currently running qx fans and an aio, but that pump, lcd cpu cooler and the better gpu block looks good. I love that I would be able to control all of it in icue. I used to run aqua computing (aquaero 6 xt and quadro) but the lack of documentation for the software, horrible integration with non aqua devices and no meaningful product improvement made me shelf it.
Have you looked into the Aquasuite environment?
Loads of abilities but little info on TH-cam
Can confirm. Most watercooling people I talk to have moved into that ecosystem. Its far, far cheaper and works much, much better.

Went the aquacomputer way
If you have the money i feel like the fans are totally worth the price for looks and installation ease, also the software is amazing and always works perfectly for me

Yeah I'm kind of getting sick of Corsair prices getting through the roof but I guess you can blame public traded companies for that because they're beholden to shareholders and they always need to make their stock and profits go up this is why you're seeing everything at high prices in its own individual packages
ive been using corsair stuff for about 10 years now, but tbh i would not buy these products as they are just way over priced imho. i feel right now these company's just rip off pc gamers/pc uses in general, all i see in this new i link system is you must spend more money on our products which is only going to force some people to never buy there products at all.

Yep the only weak point of the Corsair’s products is price. Maybe in future they diverse there production line to workout kinder budget option. Any way these all stuff looks great and it is comfortable.
I tried the Link system. But I hate having programs running that cause performance drops. The Link program drops Cinebench score by like 500 points. Its not alot, but in my eyes its too much. LOL

Some Corsair products are priced OK, but most of them are extremely expensive for no reason. I personally avoid Corsair anything.

Wow at 250watt of cpu TDP this corsair water block cant even handle 13700…just wonder why 8th gen asetek pump can perform much better than custom water loop 😅
Can also get an air tower cooler that can handle it better

if you need water cooling loop i think you need at least 1000 dollar more to pay

Way more, custom water loop is so expensive due to buying each fitting, cpu/gpu water block, reservoirs, etc

Welp, that gpu cooler ruined the whole build.. It also had terrible reviews since it doesn't cool the gpu vrms
Corsair is Scientology of pc parts.
corsair should stick to ram and cases, their water cooling stuff is junk, use aqua computer octo for your system
Ram's not great either, mostly low end smasung or micron with mixed bins
its too expensive while theres more other brand way more cheaper to build

damn im hella early
I hate icue software uses too much resources, my pc idles at around 130 watts doing nothing without icue with icue running it idles at 250+ watts, that don't seem like much but it eats into my power bill and keeps the voltage on the threadripper up around 1.4 I even tried to underclock it to keep the power down I regret buying the corsair ram.
So, why waste your time. Go with the proven Aquacomputer system.
