One of my favourite, Robin Williams guest appearance was on the Carol Burnett show where they did a skit, and then immediately after asked if they could do it again his way
Britt: Check out Robin Williams when he was a guest on the "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." There's one clip called "Chlamydia, your dad's here." I've never laughed so hard in all my life...and I'm 71, so that says something!
Not sure which one it was, but the seashell one had a few iterations. The one I recall was one of them put it to his ear and heard 'If you want more sea noises please deposit another quarter'
That had to be one of the best moments of Ryan and Colin's career - to look across and see an approving and impressed Robin Williams laughing at their silly improv!
During the pandemic, while the show couldn't be produced, the cast of Who's Line met weekly on public Zoom calls to talk about their lives and the show. Aisha Tyler, Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles met from their various homes, and sometimes Wayne Brady would briefly call in. They're very different people. Aisha Tyler is super-entrepreneurial, talking about different projects like selling pre-made cocktails and hosting happy hours for people to get together during lockdown. Ryan Stiles was out in the woods somewhere, with no idea how to get his technology to work. They talked about what it's like to work for the CW network, why they hate "Hoedown" segments so much, and generally just taking questions from the audience. I don't know if they're still online, but I watched them live on TH-cam.
If you love callbacks you have to see the "meow" compilation. Colin basically kept a cat sound as a running gag throughout the episode and the final one is one of the best moments in Whose Line history!
I always found those to be a bit of a crapshoot. If the people they got actually tried to make sound effects it was okay, but half the time the ones they picked were too timid to even try.
@@IBeforeAExceptAfterKyes but it made it hilarious when one of the guys would build up to this huge noise and then you get a tiny, whisper barely audible 😂😂😂 so the look on the guys face trying not to crack up is what gets me
Yeah, it’s hilarious if you look up the cut lines from Aladdin. I think there is a video of him standing in the booth just spitting out lines and one liners as genie.
Carol Channing was a beloved lady of Broadway and Hollywood. Ryan is known for his great impersonation of her voice. Carol was always the bright light in the room. Her personality, accompanied by her unique voice, made her so lovable.
Great reaction! Scenes from a Hat was probably my favorite part of this show, especially with the YT video of things that the producers wouldn't let them use segment. 😀 Maybe a spoiler: If I remember there was another scene from the hat where the question was something like "What is Robin Williams thinking?" He walked out there and said "What the hell am I doing here? I have a career." 😀 I don't like a world without Robin Williams in it, but I'm so glad that we have so many of his performances to watch!
Drew went on to host The Price Is Right after Bob Barker retired. Not only did he have to educate himself on all their games, this suited him very well. Drew as host here on Whose Line is where I'm most familiar with the show. These episodes from the early 2000's are the best. Ryan Stiles does a perfect Carol Channing, Christopher Lloyd, and John Wayne impression. "I'm Spartacus." LOL
If you can find it, you might get a kick out of Robin's "Inside the Actors Studio" interview. He was on stage for four minutes before James Lipton was able to ask his first question. Edit: And during the course of the interview, a man in the audience had to be taken to the hospital after he developed a hernia from laughing so hard
During the Drew Carey years of this show, they used to play a game called Superheroes, where they would each come in as an unlikely superhero, and they would try to solve a weird world crisis. I would recommend the one where Colin starts out as the unlikely superhero Captain Hair.😁
In 2000, before you could just go on the internet and buy a full sized cutout of anybody... Ryan Stiles was in an ad campaign for Kinko's and they had full-sized cutouts of him. I would go into my Kinko's almost everyday, I walked passed on the way to work, and try and get one of the people working there to give it to me. I mean I offered money. I wanted that thing so bad. Lmao. Needless to say they wouldn't give it to me, even when the ad stopped. Apparently, they had to account for it and send it back. IDK. I still think about sometimes though. Anyway, glad you are enjoying Whose Line. Truly great stuff!!!! Have a wonderful weekend :)
They cut off the last one. The suggestion was "What Robin Williams is thinking right now"...and Robin walks up and says, "I have a career, what the hell am I doing?!" lol
I wish we could get a full upload where the ending isn't cut off. I don't get why it's only partial. This was only about half of the actual Hat game with Robin.
Love this show, and unhinged is a great way to describe a whole lot of it. More, please. And if you want to see full-blown Carol Channing, find a video of her doing Hello, Dolly. She was a hoot, too. Peace …
There’s so many great games on this show you can react to “Newsflash” “Scenes from a Hat” “Hoedown” “Irish Drinking song” “Whose Line” (yes there’s a game called whose line on whose line) “Greatest hits” “Sound effects” And so many many more
If I could recommend ANY part of Whose Line, it would be when they play Newscast. It really shows their ability to act, improv, and ad lib. Colin is genius with his intros.
You should definitely check out “Whose Line Is It Anyway? Meow!” which is a compilation of the “meow” joke….so funny 😂 They would actually do that a lot, carry a joke into other sketches
One of my favorites is called "You got Sole"...three-headed broadway star. No one has ever reacted to it that I know of, but please watch it even if you don't do a react, it's hilarious...Drew messing up and Wayne and Ryan recovering for him. It's great.
There’s one more scene that was cut out of that video: Drew pulls a card out and it says something like “what Robin Williams is thinking right now” and Robin comes out and says “I have a career, what the hell am I doing?” 😂😂
There was more that wasn't in that clip. The scene was "What Robin Williams is thinking right now." Robin went up and simply said "I have a career. What the hell am I doing?"
Hey Brit, I have been posting songs in your comment sections that I know you will like. Quit an array of different sounds, so here we go again, Dazz - Dico Jazz Manhattan Transfer - Trickle Trickle Gary Wright - My love is alive Jerry Reed - Amos Moses S👁👁 you again
if you like this from Robin Williams, then check out his stand up "weapons of selfdestruction" it is amazing. i think the full show is somewhere on YT still.
If you're enjoying Whose Line, you might want to check out Improvaganza...lots of clips here on TH-cam, hosted by Drew, and a lot of the same people you see on this show. Hysterically funny as well.
This video sadly cut out two scenes. you can try to find it if you want to see them or I can tell you them. Spoilers: The first one was "inappropriate topics on talk shows. Robin: So then I said 'get off me grandma I'm done'. Wayne: So I was looking out the window, and there's Robin and his grandmother. The last one was "What Robin Williams is thinking right now" Robin: I have a career what the hell am I doing here.
...So, admittedly, that was NOT the whole Scenes from a Hat with Robin Williams. There was more in that episode...but it seems like TH-cam decided the whole thing's not allowed? Robin was one of a kind, miss him dearly
R.I.P.
Ryan is famous for his Channing impressions. He did it a lot in many episodes.
Like when he hit his head 😂😂😂
@@nicolelylewis OMG yes! That is a great one for a reaction.
Robin made his career by improvising so this is no surprise
He was sooooo talented
That had to be a highlight of Ryan's career - looking across and having Robin Williams just laughing his butt off at his Carol Channing impression.
The presence of Robin Williams made everybody do their best--and they did with hilarious results!
Carol had a distinct voice and Ryan was know for his impression
IS
Ryan's first Carol Channing impression was from on of Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry movies. The lines sure sounded different in Carol Channing's voice.
Making Robin Williams laugh would have to be the best feeling in the world.
Robin Williams standup special on Broadway is a top 10 special all time.
And his Live on Met
The best of greatest hits and broadcast news compilations!!

😂😂😂😂😂

Robin Williams being Elmer Fudd (from Bugs bunny cartoons) singing. Absolutely hilarious
One of the suggestions was what is Robin Williams thinking now, he responds with I have a career what the hell am I doing
Was waiting for that one. Guess it was cut from this version.
@@Darkojin1 Weird how it was cut out. Unless they were having copyright issues.

"We have been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty."
In my opinion, the funniest Whose Line bits are when they have audience members make the sound effects.
Ah, yes. The "Universal Sound".

Robin’s hair was blond because he was filming One Hour Photo at the time.
That was a creepy awesome movie. Robin was Fantastic in it.
THE best "Scenes From A Hat" ever! Everyone was like, "Can you top this?" And they do!
Ryan does a great impression of Carol Channing's voice.
Robin Williams on the Carol Burnett Show The Funeral

THE most legendary Scenes From A Hat segment, there have been other gems, but not one after the other after the other like in this one

“Who you daddy.” Cracked me up. You’ve got to watch a Carol Channing video now - their impressions were really good and she was really fun to watch.
If they aren’t on your list yet you need to check out the weather report ones, they were always my favorite, they are excellent

The Robin Williams episode is amazing because he was uncanny. The real side-splitter is Richard Simmons. I’ve never seen anything that hilarious.
