Aisha Tyler is a standup comedian that transitioned into acting and hosting TV shows. She was the last host of Talk Soup on E! which showed clips of talk shows and reality shows and made fun of them. She was on the TV shows Friends, Ghost Whisperer, Criminal Minds and Archer among others. She was a great choice for hosting this show.
"Who's Line" started as a British TV series, running ten series (seasons) from 23rd of September 1988 to the 4th of February 1999. Then it was an American series with Drew Carrey from 1998 to 2007, followed by the Aisha Tyler revival that started in 2013 and is still in production. Female comics were actually a lot more common on the show during its British run.
The first version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? (WLIIA) premiered in the United Kingdom in 1988 and ran through 1999. It was hosted by Clive Anderson and produced by Dan Patterson. The US version premiered in 1998 and was hosted by Drew Carey. Aisha Tyler took over as host for the 9th US season in 2013. Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles have been with the show since the UK version. Wayne Brady has been with the show since 2013. Some of the fourth members have been with the UK version as well. During Aisha's time as host, there have very often been guests that would join for a game or two. For example, Richard Simmons, Robin Williams, and other film/screen stars and athletes have appeared as guests.
Ryan's Neil Diamond joke is in reference to Diamond's song "America" from the movie/show "The Jazz Singer". He also sang it in 1986 for "Liberty Weekend" when the Statue of Liberty's overhaul was reveled. President and Nancy Regan and other international dignitaries were in attendance.
I’ve worked around the state a couple of times and it’s a great time. The audience gets some great comedy during the takes. I’ve always had a crush on Aisha when she was on 5th wheel and her appearance on Friends
The Irish Drinking Songs are so good! Colin always has the last line and he usually makes everyone crack up laughing because you can never predict what he’s gonna say 🤣
Laura Hall & Linda Taylor, the original musicians, were also in the revamp show. Though you might not recognize them because both of them had longer hair in that one while in the Drew Carey version they had short hair. And when it came to the female performers, none of the originals did not return (which is a shame cause I did like Kathy Greenwood)
Aisha Tyler used to have one of the best podcasts, before podcasts were what they are today. It was called Girl in Guy. It’s a little hard to find now. I think it finished almost 8 years ago, but there’s still episodes floating about.
Key has been on since the beginning of Whose Line on CW. Original show in the UK from 1988 to 1999. American series on ABC was created from 1998 to 2004. ABC Family Channel 2005 to 07. CW 2013 to present day.
During Irish drinking song: Colin did infact say fetus. Colin had to rhyme with the last word from Wayne. Also yes that is Keegan Michael Key. Who guested an episode or two when they did revamp it.
I saw an Oprah clip (I think) that had a woman explaining her kids' names. One was called 'Orahngelo' and the other 'Lemahngelo', phoenetically. When they spelled the names out below the two, it was actually OrangeJello and LemonJello.
Irish Drinking Songs would be great to react to from Whose Line is it Anyway because Colin almost always comes up with a final line that breaks the rest of the cast.
The baddest rappers ever could be … (yes, that's from an eighties rap lyric/song) - great team effort. Britt is rightfully trolled - let's guess her middle names (without looking it up): Brittnai Cinderella Moesha Rabea Antoinette Person
I’d definitely like to see you watch more Aisha Tyler clips. Unfortunately the blooper reels don’t let you see the actual skit. Though I wonder how they decide what gets aired and what’s left on the cutting room floor. If it’s improv, I’m not sure I want anything cut (unless it’s so raunchy that it just CAN’T air)
Coming soon to a TH-cam video for you… “Britt’s Best & Biggest Bloopers” 😆😆😆. I think the video could easily go for an hour or more, given the slip-ups & bloopers I’ve seen in the time I’ve been subscribed to this channel 🫵😆
i know they didn't have a lot of females on the earlier shows but i think they liked seeing colin and Ryan playing women they were so funny playing women.
AIsha was hard to get used to, if like me, you just watched the Drew series on repeat for about 10 years, but once you get used to the new vibe of the show with her, she's alright in my book..
The first one you were confused with was a Neil Diamond reference. I did you suggest a song he did with Barbra Streisand that you showed interest in. 🙂Wouldn't help with the joke though lol
You think that's a long name? Allow me to introduce you to Valentinez Alkalinella Xifax Sicidabohertz Gombigobilla Blue Stradivari Talentrent Pierre Andri Charton-Haymoss Ivanovici Baldeus George Doitzel Kaiser III.
IMO Clive Anderson was a good host, but not really a comedian. Drew Carey is a great host and a good comedian, but not great at improv. Aisha Tyler is a great host, great comedian, and great at improv. She's not bad to look at either. 😎
Apparently you don't get the cw network.where you can watch the show. Aisha Tyler is also an actress she was on Ghost with Jennifer love Hewitt and for a short time she was on friends

Keegan Michael Key was on Mad TV too.
He has a hilarious character named Coach Hines.

It was also on British radio in early 1988.
If you ever seek out more Ryan on the British version of the show, one regular performer was the incomparable female improv comedian, Josie Lawrence 😂
:40 I love how it’s just one person way in the back laughing and then that’s what gets Key.
This is actually the 3rd version of the show, Drew was the second, before that it was British show but still a lot of the same comics
Technically it's the 4th version - it started as a radio show
@@RinJackson Interesting. I will have to check that out

Even before it was on TV in Britain it had a radio series in early 1988, only six episodes long.
Aisha Tyler played a very serious role on the show Criminal Minds when it was on.
Quite liked her in Criminal Minds; despite never caring for her performance on Whose Line.
Liked her in "Balls of Fury!"

But don't do the Wrong Name in Bed song yet. That is the best one and we should always save the best for later.

Nancy Wilson is a great female magician. ;-)
Laura Hall & Linda Taylor, the original musicians, were also in the revamp show.

Aisha Tyler was a comedian/actress , she played "mother nature" in " the santa clause"
She's still an actress (at least on Criminal Minds)

TONIGHT! re: 'America' by Neil Diamond.
There is a tour of "Whoes line is it anyway" this year. Ryan is on in it. Colin for 12 shows and no Wayne.
Aisha Tyler can kind of do everything, and she's always fun to watch wherever she pops up. :)
Aisha is also an actress in the tv show Criminal Minds.
Lana!!!!!
LANNNAAAAA!
She was in the final season of Friends as well
Jordan Poole - basketball player
Jordan Peele - comedian and filmmaker
Aisha Tyler is awesome. I love her ❤
Aisha Ttler is a comedian. She played a voice in the show Archer, and was in a Weird Al video.
Definitely should react to Meet Karl Pilkington!
@VanLaskiaDon't forget about Stephen Merchant
During Irish drinking song: Colin did infact say fetus. Colin had to rhyme with the last word from Wayne. Also yes that is Keegan Michael Key. Who guested an episode or two when they did revamp it.
Yes, but Wayne's line was "Just between us." That doesn't rhyme with "fetus"...
Aisha joined the show in 2013. So well done on finding the revamped show over 10 years later. 🤣
They also did another version of this called Drew Carey's Improv-a-ganza
I saw an Oprah clip (I think) that had a woman explaining her kids' names. One was called 'Orahngelo' and the other 'Lemahngelo', phoenetically. When they spelled the names out below the two, it was actually OrangeJello and LemonJello.
12:19 Check out the late Robert Delgado's full name. :P
OMG! That's where I know her from. 😂
Irish Drinking Songs would be great to react to from Whose Line is it Anyway because Colin almost always comes up with a final line that breaks the rest of the cast.
Sounds like you need to react to some Neil Diamond. "Solitary Man' is one of my favorites. Also, "Sweet Caroline" is up there.
Love to see you react to the "Scenes From a Hat" skit that has "Songs from the musical: Aisha" :)
I’ll check it out!
"Pee and poo"? Ah, motherhood. Key and Peele maybe? I've seen Keegan-Michael Key do some gold on this show.
He did say fetus… Wayne is saying that he was setting up usage of the word penis
Yup, and Colin knew that full well, which is why he zigged when Wayne was expecting him to zag. Colin almost never goes for the easy setup.
Macklemore has irish heritage, that scottish thing was clearly just a mac joke XD

If you want to understand the Neil Diamond reference you have to see the movie The Jazz Singer. It is about Neil Diamond's life.
Neil Diamond's 1980 Jazz Singer was the 4th version of the story dating back to the 1920's. It was not based on his life.
I’d definitely like to see you watch more Aisha Tyler clips. Unfortunately the blooper reels don’t let you see the actual skit. Aisha was on the show Archer
I had a friend who had three middle names. His three older sisters were all supposed to be boys. So when he was born he got them all.

This show is still on. It airs on the CW.
In the Aisha Tyler era, we went back to guest comedians mixed in with the the standard crew.
You should really do Allen Jackson's Where have you gone (official lyrics video)
drew stopped at season 8, and then aisha brought it up to s20
*giggle * I'm watching this drunk and enunciating "mu-si-cians". 😂 No shade, just your helpful drunk friend "fixing" things.
i know they didn't have a lot of females on the earlier shows but i think they liked seeing colin and Ryan playing women they were so funny playing women.

Oak Ridge Boys covered Dream On? That would be interesting. 😂
Wait, it might be a different song.
@@DavidWalton-g8w you should listen to it ! It is great !😊

He was a semi-regular for quite a while.
It's not a revamp play Josh Turner break and it's the continuation I'm the one Drew Carey did
Please do Allen Jackson's (Sissy's Song)
Where did Ryan hit her butt?
you need to watch full episodes of the older stuff, as much as ryan was an antagonist they were both as bad as each other
