A couple years before Robin passed, I sent out letters to about 30 celebrities and athletes asking for autographs. Robin was the only one who sent an autograph back
So there is an interview with Colin where he talks about working with Robin Williams and what he found truly amazing was within 10 minutes Robin had learned the names of everyone working that night right down to the catering staff. He took away from the experience how much of a genuinely kind person was.
What I love about this episode is not only is Robin great, but he made everyone around him step it up with his presence. The entire cast was on their A game that episode.
I know what you mean by making others step up. Way off, but as an example, take hockey. The Washington Capitals hadn’t won a Cup in 15 years. Finally, they got the right players at the right time for the team to come up to Alex Ovechkin’s level.
"Why don't you go over there and get your Special Pepperoni..?" "Why don't you stay there and Let Something Rise..?" 🤣🤣 R.I.P. Robin Williams! Forever missed!
Like someone wrote earlier, the reason why Robin Williams is bleach blonde is because he was doing a movie at the same time called One Hour Photo. Which is actually a pretty good movie and it's one of Robin's more serious roles. He plays a disturbed photography developer (the ones who developed your camera rolls into pictures. Remember those days? ;P) who gets obsessed with a family.
This show is one of the reasons why improv is a NECESSARY skill for all in theatre and acting schools. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a summer camp learning about improv in high school, but I genuinely wish that I had a whole school year of that class. Robin Williams will forever be remembered as one of the best improv actors/comedians of all time. Him on this show was one of my favorite episodes. If you can find the rest of the episode, you won't regret it. Search for Robin doing Scenes from a Hat and enjoy.
Britt.. At long last… The G.O.A.T of improv comedy was right at home here in this video… He is sadly missed ✊😥🕊️ This was just a small example of how brilliant Robin was at his art 👍😁
This was filmed while Robin was shooting One Hour Photo. It’s definitely not your typical Robin Williams movie. This is why his hair was bleached blonde like that.
One of my favorite films of his. It was SO out of left field. I think it was close to "Insomnia" as well but One Hour Photo was a different beast. He was a stellar comedian, but I think he was just as good of an actor, if not better. Not really a controversial take I suppose.
I loved Robin in out-of-pocket roles. I actually think he was at his best and most powerful when he was in dramatic films that allowed him to be really serious - or even the serious scene in an otherwise wacky role like The Fisher King.
Robin was a Master Comedian. I grew up with him on Mork & Mindy. This episode is comedy Gold. I cried when he went to Eternity. You must see his other skits on this episode.
thankfully there are many clips on youtube and the internet from past episodes. But you have to remember whos line has been out a LONG time. Started in 1988 in the UK, ran for 10 years even before they started the american version. Went on almost 10 years again until 2007, then came BACK again in 2013 and going for another 10 or so years. A LONG time.
I LOVE this episode! You have to do Scenes from a Hat with Robin….so funny! The other 3 really stepped up on that episode…and of course Robin made Collin laugh (which is difficult to do; he’s usually the one making other people laugh 😂)
Robin Williams was a GOD when it came to improvisational comedy!! He was that way with his acting too. The last and best line in the movie "GOOD WILL HUNTING" was an improved line of Robin Williams and Matt Damen said that Robin made his and Ben Afflect's movie GI from good to GREAT!!!!
I don't know how to say this or put into words but we're never going to get anybody like Robin Williams again don't get me wrong when someone dies you're never going to get you know that type of person again but the thing is and I don't know how to put it into words or even describe it we were lucky to have Robin Williams in our life and he was literally a one-of-a-kind that we will never ever see in our lifetime in even generations after that and no one can stand par to Robin Williams r.i.p
I’m 55 now and never have so many musicians artists etc ceased to exist in my lifetime. When SRV passed I had to take a day off. Robin Williams, Chris Cornell, SRV…so many others. One memory I’ll always have is my father and I saw SRV at the El Mocamb. My dad is old country and plays steel guitar. Even w earplugs, he had to stand in the back. He kept yelling at me how good he was then he said something that I have adopted. My father, not a religious man, says “God plays through some people.” I was lucky to see him again when he was sober. Those Bassman amps were so full
Jim Carrey is near Robin in uniqueness and skill, both as a comic and as a serious actor. They are unique in their own ways of course, two very different entertainers, but Jim is the only one I think could be considered on that level.
You wondered if Robin's hair was blond. It was. Back in 2001-02, Robin appeared in a film called "One-Hour Photo"; which was a very dramatic role. In-between the making of that film, he appeared in this memorable episode of Whose Line is it Anyway.
I can't express enough how much i enjoy these 4 on this show. Theres few who resonate so well together. And the off the cuff antics leaving me in splits 😂
I miss Robin so much! His talent is remarkable, and he loved making others laugh. This was too funny! So glad you're watching Whose Line and enjoying Robin and other guests! :D
Britt… PLEASE (🙏) follow this up with “Scenes from a hat” from the show… You’ll laugh even harder than this one 😆😆😆. Maybe even Whoopi Goldberg in “Questions Only”, where she embarrasses the hell out of Wayne with 2 hysterical questions ✌️😂
Robin Williams was hilarious in this show when he was on it as a guest. He's so quick to come up with awesome impressions and things to say on the spot. Nice reaction. Just found this video of Colin Mochrie explaining about Robin Williams and how Colin got started on the show: th-cam.com/video/TAZ6EZWyKzs/w-d-xo.html It's really interesting.
Robin Williams had done a movie called 1 hour photo where his hair was bleached blonde and he played the bad guy. Robin Williams was 1 of the absolute greatest at improvisation! I don't think I've ever seen another actor or comedian that's anywhere near his equal!
The art of improv depends on two things: trusting your own instincts and not giving a damn how you look. That's the main thing taught in improv classes - how to say "yes" to everything and anything. Never reject what the other person does, but find the way to take it and keep going. :)
Great stuff Britt! your smile always puts a smile on my face 😁 we had that show in the UK I use to watch it growing up in the 90’s it always cracked me up 🤙🏼
I really wish there was another episode with him. I got to see him perform on Broadway long ago and he was amazing. You need to check out the episode with Sid Caesar
I got to see 2 comedy legends perform at the Comedy Store in L.A. before they passed and I walked away with very different feelings about the experiences. I saw Robin and it was amazing, and I saw Richard Pryor and though he was great it kind of makes me sad the only memory I will have of him in person was him unable to move in a wheelchair.
In Robin Williams show Mork and Mindy, they needed to get censors that knew different languages because Robin kept trying to sneak in curse words in different languages 😂😂😂
Not a lot of people know Robin Williams went to College of Marin and then studied at Juilliard on full scholarship before starting doing his standup tour, he’s a well trained actor
So glad you watched that. In my opinion it’s the best just because of Robin. I really can’t think of any thing Robin was involved in that I didn’t enjoy watching. RIP Robin Williams
There is an episode of whose line with party quirks where Wayne grabs a young lady from audience during his bit and almost ruins her life but is absolutely hilarious. Look up king Kong movie party quirks.
Britt try to find some episodes where they have Wayne make up songs on the spot. They are hilarious & you will bust a gut. 10 mins later you won't be able to remember a word he sang but will know you enjoyed it.
I highly recommend reacting to the "whose line" games on Whose line, it's Colin and Ryan glory. That or the Narrate video. It's great. Two Line Vocabulary is great too!
great vid and I love Robin...curious though if you have seen the video of JLaw on Colbert where they called Meryl Streep the goat on set...but she doesn't get it.
A couple years before Robin passed, I sent out letters to about 30 celebrities and athletes asking for autographs. Robin was the only one who sent an autograph back
Do you know how to send her a music video request?
That's actually pretty cool he took out time for a fan like that, What a gift to the world he was rip robin 😥
@@CSanti91 Do you know how to send her a music video request?
That's incredible. I'd have that framed.
Whose did he send? 😉🤣

@@PhonePole68 I get what you're saying, I have seen it in sports too.
There will never be another Robin Williams. He will always be loved and missed. Thankfully we have his performances to laugh and remember him ❤

I believe that's one of the reasons he was on Whose Line for this episode. Like he had to perform a mental detox after playing such a dark character.
@@TheGohanSkywalker Makes sense.
That's one of those movies I watched one time ever and I still remember it.
Scenes from a hat with Robin will SLAY YOU! 😂😂😂😂

OMG yes😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've loved Robin Williams since he first appeared as Mork on Happy Days before Mork and Mindy show. He was a genius actor and comedian.
Nanu nanu!
Never seen Riverdance before? It was all the rage in the late 90s
LOL yeah, and Wayne's ending pose was a reference to another Michael Flatley work, Lord of the Dance lol. He made that pose on the VHS cover.
Britt.. At long last… The G.O.A.T of improv comedy was right at home here in this video… He is sadly missed ✊😥🕊️ This was just a small example of how brilliant Robin was at his art 👍😁
R.I.P Robin Willie.
Robin Williams is a monster in improvisation he can keep doing that for eternity

I remember watching "Whose Line..." live :) Then people just forgot about it.
Now, one smart girl brings them to life again! Thanks :)
Reaction videos have brought so much old stuff back. So glad younger generations will hear some str8 up truths to be found in comedy. George Carlin???

Robin was probably one of, if not THE, best at improv. One of the funniest people ever.
Robin was filming One Hour Photo when this episode was recorded.
hence the blonde hair
Robin Williams was So incredibly great back in the day. RIP to him.
Robin❤️🙏
He was having SO MUCH fun on this
R.I.P. Robin Williams. King of Improv. Seeing him come on Who's Line when this aired aas awesome
Robin Williams was such an incredible person it’s so sad how he passed away too soon he was my favorite character in Aladdin and Flubber
One of my all time favorite comedian, actors Robin Williams is hilarious.
I LOVE this episode! You have to do Scenes from a Hat with Robin….so funny! The other 3 really stepped up on that episode…and of course Robin made Collin laugh (which is difficult to do; he’s usually the one making other people laugh 😂)
All 4 of those guys are/were amaaaaaaazing.
You absolutely *have* to do the Scenes From A Hat from this episode. Robin absolutely killed it.😊

Robin Williams was doing a movie at the time this show was recorded that required his hair to be blonde.
This episode was made around the time Robin was making ONE HOUR PHOTO (where his character was blonde)
I miss Robin so much! His talent is remarkable, and he loved making others laugh. This was too funny! So glad you're watching Whose Line and enjoying Robin and other guests! :D
Damn that was just too funny. Robin if anything is extremely fast and creative. They are all massively talented.
This episode got previews, so I was hyped when I saw this episode live on TV and yeah I was almost in tears from laughing.
Robin was shooting the movie 'One Hour Photo' when he made this appearance on Whose line. I think thats why his hair was bleached

His best individual comedic performance was in the movie Good Morning Vietnam 😂 that movie still cracks me up and it came out before I was born 😅
you need to find the game Props with Robyn Willims from the same episode. I think they also did a Scenes From A Hat as well.
Do the scenes from a hat with robin Williams. Hilarious

This is my favorite Whose Line episode, which is really something to say.
I met him during my injury rehab. He sat on my bed and
Talked.RIP 'MORK"
Not worth the wait, lotta ladies actually like me.

i met him when i was a kid he came to our town and did a movie here. it was called (the world according to Garp) he was very young then.

ill. He is so missed 😢

Robin Williams a goat

Robin was shooting One Hour Photo at the time. That's why he has white hair
and fun fact: Robin is blonde in this episode, cause he was filming One Hour Photo at the same time as this.
The funniest man ever!
I’m #1!! Love your content.
i wish you watched the whole episode, it's a goldmine.
Robin’s hair was blonde because he did a movie called 1 hour Photo a suspense thriller a very different side of his acting chops
In Robin Williams show Mork and Mindy, they needed to get censors that knew different languages because Robin kept trying to sneak in curse words in different languages 😂😂😂
The Greatest 😊
RW is the goat for sure
Wayne Brady singing a song to Jane the bodybuilder is hilarious
yea Jane was great
I can tell whoever uploads these videos speaks english as a second language lol. The thumbnails are always entertaining to me.
They play scenes from a hat omg it is so good.
You love that, you should check out the Robin Williams doing the scenes from a hat game on Whose Line.
This is one part of an entire episode with him. Go find the Robin Williams scenes from a hat. You will not be disappointed.
Love you momma❤

This is right after Robin filmed the movie Popeye, his hair was bleached for the movie
Popeye was filmed about 20 years before this was filmed. It was a different movie he died his hair for in the 2000s.
There is an episode of whose line with party quirks where Wayne grabs a young lady from audience during his bit and almost ruins her life but is absolutely hilarious. Look up king Kong movie party quirks.
You really need to watch "Who's Live Anyway" on stage.
He doing a movie at time of doing this. So that's why his hair is blonde.
Her face in the thumbnail looks really funny lol
you have to watch Robin Williams' Interviews with Craig Ferguson!
This would have been filmed when Robin did One hour photo. I believe he was bleach blonde in that movie.
Please watch the video's of Robin Williams stand up. He has a couple. Either one will make you laugh until you are not able to breathe!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Robin's hair is bleached because he was filming the movie One Hour Photo when he made his appearance on Whose Line
You have to watch his Scenes from a Hat bit. it was hilarious
Robin, you’re so missed.
Britt, please play Robin’s rabbit hole…the King of Improve.
❤❤❤❤❤
Little did we know that Robin Williams was suffering on the inside. R.I.P. Robin Williams
Here's one to check out from Whose Line: Newsflash, skateboards

The original UK shows are also on TH-cam, you should check out those.
Please do his scenes from a hat and props. Same episode
yes, THIS!! That Scenes from a Hat game from this episode is gold! IIRC, this was the best episode of the first run of the entire US series!
Britt, if you want to watch a GREAT Robin Williams video, watch when he came on The Johnny Carson show for the first time. O M G
great vid and I love Robin...curious though if you have seen the video of JLaw on Colbert where they called Meryl Streep the goat on set...but she doesn't get it.
Good Will Hunting Is my favorite Robin Williams movie and it wasn't a comedic role.
