Except for PS Plus, that took me like 20 minutes. But for Game Pass and GFN, it's more or less just setting the browser to your steam library, and there's a couple commands you have to get to make it recognize the controller with the browser and lock to the streaming service's launcher. It's a solid device. As someone who owns way too many handhelds, including the Steamdeck and Odin Lite, the Logitech is by far the best streaming handheld. Playing modern games that make heavy use of the right analog stick on the Odin is extremely uncomfortable after about 10 minutes, plus they have a small range of motion making it an even worse experience for shooters. The Steamdeck I've found to honestly be a pretty poor streaming experience. Chiakis audio streaming is actual garbage and Steamlink that's built into the OS glitches out the frame rate on your games about half the time you use it and doesn't resolve itself without closing the game.. Gamepass is the only streaming service that I've found to be a comparable experience versus the Android counterpart.
This is definitely something I'm not very interested in. Considering I have the Steam Deck and the RG552, my emulation needs are pretty much good to go. And if I'm wanting to do "Cloud Gaming", I can just do that on the Steam Deck with 0 issue. If anything, the only devices I'm interested in at the rate is an Ayn device (Odin, Loki, etc.), or an Aya device (Neo lineup, etc.) Past that? Nothing else can really beat what I already have.

I'd be curious to see you do an update on this. Logitech has made several improvements in the past year. They now allow you to multitask in handheld mode You can map the hardware buttons to the screen for touchscreen only games USB C now handles lossless HDMI output for TVs or AR glasses In addition you mentioned being 720p but other than the official xbox app I think everything does 1080 including XBXplay for the xbox.
@@TheFps12 UI bought one of these last week. The software cons are either fixed in the last year or were actually not even an issue (check some newer reviews). I usually get time to play about an hour a day but have played over 30 hours in the last week. The device is excellent and this is coming from a PC gamer who would never normally use a controller, too
Mine is arriving any minute, just received my steam deck but I’m curious to see which one will fit my needs more. Edit: It’s going back. The screen is beautiful but game streaming off my computer vs native on deck, the deck is better. Cool device though.
I got one of these and I can say that it is a device I have mixed feelings on. At the price it starts at, you 100% may as well just get a Steam Deck. But it also….isn’t really the same kind of product. To me it kind of sits against things like the RG353 and other emulator handhelds. If this thing was $250, then it would be perfect
Streaming games from your PS5, PC, or Xbox works really well. Especially if you use a wired internet connection for your console or PC. Also, switch to tablet mode for swipe controls and multitasking.
It doesn't, because even in home streaming has never worked well (even Steam's in home version was latency and compression filled garbage going from two wired computers on the same network, I'll never use it again). One of the devices having to be on Wi-Fi on top of that definitely kills it.
There are two use cases that people seem to not talk about, but both boil down to different types of accessibility. I like the idea of this device because one, it's not as bulky and heavy as the Steam Deck (I have chronic pain issues and can't hold the Steam Deck for any length of time), and two, if you have okay internet you don't necessarily need a badass computer to game on. If you can't afford a premium gaming rig -- or if something happens to the one you have -- you have options that don't require shelling out $1k+ to make everything work. The price tag still feels a bit high, but if I have a day that I can't comfortably sit at my desk to game, I would hypothetically be able to use a decent device somewhere else in the apartment and not take over the TV from any of my roommates.
sometimes I watch your videos only to see your advertising and sponsor part. makes me laugh a lot you're good you're real good bro. I swear you are my favourite TH-camr all time. love and respect from Germany.
I picked one up on amazon warehouse for £230. The reason for my purchase is because I now have a baby son and find it hard to find the time to play. This is a great pick-up and play device that you can leave on standby for days without worrying about battery life. The device is great to pick-up and play when the little one is asleep and my partner is in the kitchen 😅
I think the G-Cloud gets a lot of bad press because of the price; rightfully so. But cost aside, I'd be interested in one being an avid Game Pass user and interested on old school emulation.
Ok the whole calendar is funny AF. I just had to pause cause I SWORE I saw G4 and I was not disappointed. I'm never skipping your sponsor spots ever ever.
I think for $200-$250 this would make more sense as when the razer edge releases it will demolish this as it basically has a snapdragon 8 gen 1 equivalent processor with 8gb of ram 128gb storage and wifi 6E and a 144hz AMOLED screen.
Yeah, I agree on the point made about cost - I heard Steam is making something that allows you to run PC games portably, but also runs them locally because it’s a computer with a controller attached. But hey 🤷🏼♂️ maybe people don’t realize there are controllers for your phone.
This screen is another 1” over my phone screen, makes a difference at this size. Plus not having to to frankenstein the phone into the grips (and lose use of the phone) is pretty nice
If I’m going to shell out that much money on a portable console before the Switch 2 or whatever is next from Nintendo it will be on a Steamdeck. I don’t like the idea of an all digital/ streaming system but the Steamdeck is so versatile and has so many use cases I could see it being worth it.
@@homebrewGT2 I don't plan on getting a future Nintendo device past my switch oled unless its groundbreaking tech cause my steamdeck satisfies almost all that I could want for a switch pro and much more! Its like switch but on steroids and without the joycons. Yet somehow I always find myself coming back to it! This Logitech device is better for Cloud Gaming so so like if you wanted to play Genshin it would be easier to set that up without risk for an account ban.
I would trust a company like Logitech to get the feel of the controller right, like putting a premium feeling product in my hand. There's a reason I've only bought Logitech mice and keyboards for the last decade. After the reviews of other products though, I think I'd rather go with a newer smaller company for a product like this. They make one thing and they do it REALLY well overall, as a package. My problem is that I really don't have the space for this kind of product in my life. I play time-wasting games on my phone in the small amounts of downtime that I have away from home..and when I'm home I'm on my gaming computer with a dedicated GPU and two displays. Not that I ever use it to play games anymore. There are many reasons but chief among them is I just don't have the time for much gaming these days.
My girlfriend got one to play gampass games with me because she enjoys a handheld experience and isn't worried about mid range specs. We like it. I am going to download a gba emulator on it for me tho lol
It’s for people who want mobile gaming, don’t want to be locked down by Nintendo, but don’t want to tinker and finagle as much as you would have to for a steam deck. It’s also more portable than a steam deck. And I think that’s actually a pretty large segment of gamers. Basically anyone who buys the android portable emulators like the Odin. But you said it in the video, you can actually buy one. The only real flaw I see is that it’s priced too high. They would sell like crazy if they could get it under $300. Even just a flat $300 is borderline impulse buy. I want one, but I want to get it on sale for $280 during Black Friday
I suppose you could say the D-Pad is a big plus.

Chiakis audio streaming is actual garbage and Steamlink that's built into the OS glitches out the frame rate on your games about half the time you use it and doesn't resolve itself without closing the game.. Gamepass is the only streaming service that I've found to be a comparable experience versus the Android counterpart.
"If I say it it's a feature" more like "if I say it, it gives Nintendo another reason to snub my applications"
I cant forgive you for saying "Hydeo Kojeema", "Baab Woolfe".
I’d pick this up for 200 if they added touch screen mapping for android games.
I don't know. It's confusing. I cN do just as much and more with my old Pixel 4a and my Razer Kishi controller and not be out any extra money.
Bro I seen so many people on TH-cam talk trash about this device. I just got it today. It’s not better than the steam deck but it’s a very good device
Bro it doesn't matter what you post anymore I just see your notification and click now. your content is just banger after banger these days. It always impresses me how much quality is packed into each video. Your love for your craft just clearly shines through your work and it's inspiring as hell!
I'd be curious to see you do an update on this. Logitech has made several improvements in the past year.
They now allow you to multitask in handheld mode
You can map the hardware buttons to the screen for touchscreen only games
USB C now handles lossless HDMI output for TVs or AR glasses
In addition you mentioned being 720p but other than the official xbox app I think everything does 1080 including XBXplay for the xbox.
As someone considering this but shying away due to software cons, very useful info. Thanks for sharing.
@@TheFps12 UI bought one of these last week. The software cons are either fixed in the last year or were actually not even an issue (check some newer reviews). I usually get time to play about an hour a day but have played over 30 hours in the last week. The device is excellent and this is coming from a PC gamer who would never normally use a controller, too
Bob's ads are the reason I have a hard time sitting through other creator's sponsor reads
switch to Daijishou Launcher for it
This should be $199, honestly.
If this thing was $250, then it would be perfect
that "plots conspiracy against wood" entry got me laughing so hard
Could you map a stick press to Back when using Dolphin?
Best Factor sponsor ad I’ve seen so far.
I bought the Retroid Pocket 3 based on your recommendation. Love it SO MUCH.
I have a feeling this is going to turn into a 99 dollar device and then everyone will jump on it
Never fail to amaze me with your advertisements, great work bob!!
Honestly this device would've been a hit if not for the major price tag
Streaming games from your PS5, PC, or Xbox works really well. Especially if you use a wired internet connection for your console or PC. Also, switch to tablet mode for swipe controls and multitasking.
It doesn't, because even in home streaming has never worked well (even Steam's in home version was latency and compression filled garbage going from two wired computers on the same network, I'll never use it again). One of the devices having to be on Wi-Fi on top of that definitely kills it.
@@mjc0961 Maybe you need a new router.
So glad my Ayn Odin finally came in yesterday after waiting 2 months.
That sponsor approved "FUUU" got me good
the price is not worth it you can buy a samsung s7 or s8 tablet that can do everything plus gaming just connect a controller
Ergonomics. Phone screens aren't very tall (wide) and good telescopic controllers for tablets are non-existent.
I think the G-Cloud gets a lot of bad press because of the price; rightfully so. But cost aside, I'd be interested in one being an avid Game Pass user and interested on old school emulation.
Bob is a kind of cool uncle we all ever wanted in our very life's
I giggle at every "yA hUnGrY?!"
every time.
"budget and mainstream keyboards". The G915 says hello.
We can see you changing the title from „what if microsoft made a hand-held” or something like that don’t think we can’t
Makes sense that they have a really good controller remapping considering the make keyboards and software for them
I really hope hidey-o kojima is the name of his next full stealth game
This thing should cost 💲 150
"OW!"
Me: smh
"MY EYE!!!"
Me: *sighs*
"...FUUU---!!!"
Me: 😆
03:07 INSTANT REPLAY 03:07
Absolute 10/10 peel, 100/10 for emulation rainbow. Bravo
You can exit tabket mode and use regular android
RIP G4TV
Nice reference on the calendar 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ok the whole calendar is funny AF. I just had to pause cause I SWORE I saw G4 and I was not disappointed. I'm never skipping your sponsor spots ever ever.
Ah yes, the $350 competitor to the $100 Chromebook.
Hey now, that $100 chromebook or tablet needs a controller! Hehe
The G Cloud is such a ripoff at $350...
Plot against Wood
Plot against Zim
Plot against other Bob
😂
If I’m going to shell out that much money on a portable console before the Switch 2 or whatever is next from Nintendo it will be on a Steamdeck. I don’t like the idea of an all digital/ streaming system but the Steamdeck is so versatile and has so many use cases I could see it being worth it.
Steam Deck 2 or Switch 2 depending on how bad Nintendo screws up the specs. Otherwise the Switch will be my last Nintendo console.
I love the ads he does. I tried factor and hated it, but his ads are amazing
The D-pad reminds me of the one on the Nintendo Wii
Logitech is going for the crowd that has no idea there are other options.
Really expensive frozen dinners!? Factor sounds like a great product! 😂
lol the cc said "Host" when Bob started talking.
How does it not have an oled the Nintendo switch oled is only 350-360 and can play so many games and can hook up to your tv
