Great tips Craig. I have this sprayer and are quite meticulous with cleaning but I didn't know everything you just shared. Thanks for sharing the knowledge mate.
Hi Guys, thanks for your comment and your kind works, super pleased that we can help, what do you think of some of our other videos on here and our @Craigbigbro1 channel
Wagner's instructions / definitions need serious work. SERIOUS work.
How so? Can you explain any problems you are having with it?
@@MrandMrsDIY I'm having ZERO problems with it, I love it. The instructions, however, not so much. They are a bit lackluster and incomplete in terms of following along. I expect one single document with a series of steps to take sequentially and in my box there's 3 or 4 papers with steps kinda all over the place. For a novice, probably a bit daunting. As for the sprayer itself, pure gold but I pretty much tossed the paperwork and just winged it along with using TH-cam university to fill in the gaps.
@@no_handle_required We have been producing dozens of videos over the years to try and make it easier for everyone to use there units correctly
@@MrandMrsDIY ....and you have done it very well. That's why it showed the glaring issue with the documents, because your vids actually ARE helpful.
@@no_handle_required Thank you thats very nice to know, I'll feed your comments back to Wagner, regards Craig
Super helpful!!
Thank you.
Cheers, your very welcome
Thank you ... saved my day.
Your very welcome, glad we could help
Súper ! Thanks you help me a lot
You're welcome!
well done
Thanks James!
my 3500 unit turns on for a second and then trips the circuit breaker. I have to presume something damp got into the unit. Is it easy enough to open up the blower and dry off if needed?
Hi Russ, this doesn't sound good, its' not a problem that I've ever came across and I certainly wouldn't like to advise you to take the unit apart, I've ask a qualified electrician to inspect your unit and circuit breakers to try and find were the fault maybe, Have you tried called Wagner's tech team to see what they advise
nice video, which HVLP model are you using here though?
Thanks pal! It was the W590 I believe
Thanks Craig I just want to buy the emulsion sprayer... But 1... which paint I have always used Dulux .. But this seems to need pouring paint... 2 Can I buy the Emulsion spray gun only ... 3 what do you call the type of masking you used ??? any body can help
Any paint any colour any brand!
The masking tape is from the premium masking kit that Wagner sell!
I bought the wagner 100 will the wall attachment fit my motor part or is it a whole new thing???
Thanks for your question, The larger wall attachment will fit but its not really advisable to use with the W100 as the turbine is only small and designed for thiner paints and small projects, The wall attachment is for thicker paints than are made to spread over larger areas therefor a large turbine would be advisable
Asking a Valid question regarding paint types oil-based and solvent-based paint. it's a fair question to ask and Wagner not to forth coming. please advise
Both oil based and solvent based paints work with most Wagner units, however they are a little harder to clean and you may need to dilute your paints.
Question,I buyed the 350 of course isn't the 3500,but I tried to paint gavinets but I don't know if the paint is to smooth and I have to add water or the gun a better gun that the 350.
Sorry I'm not to sure what your asking ?
Hi Craig nice content keep it up big brother i know you from :)
Thanks mate. Yes 21 years ago! Where does the time go?
I recently purchased a Wagner Flexio 3500. The bigger unit for wall ive bern having a problem with snapping the yellow cover over the needle after putting the black collar on
It will not snap into place. Does the yelliw piece snap over the lip of the black collar or does it just sit on the black collar?
It should go back into place, I don't have one of those units here with me to do a quick demo, I personally would film a little video of you attempting to fit it back into position and send the TH-cam link over to Wagner on their live chat, they will be able to help you out! Thanks
No red seal in mine and I just bought it yesterday. I also don't have on the paint tube that goes inside the little screw on cup there is no seal that moves up and down it is a solid piece I guess. Is it supposed to be like that the box was factory closed I mean no one had been it used at all I had to open everything
Hmm not sure, check out the live chat on the Wagner website for more help, cheers
Great video! I couldn't get my 5000 to spray without blotchy spattering that didn't cover. I was spraying Ben Moore alkyd (oil) primer. It's pretty thick but apparently that shouldn't be a problem. Everything is clean now so I'm not anxious to test again. Could it be that I didn't have the big yellow nut that holds the nozzle on tight enough? I didn't really give it any thought, but I know it was loose enough to allow for easy turning of the spray head. If it's a bit too loose, would that cause splotchy spattering with no true pattern? Thanks, hope someone can help.
Yes that could be it! if it is all fitted correctly as per the instructions you shouldn't have a problem with it
@@MrandMrsDIY Thanks, I'm going to try again but with acrylic primer. I'm going to see what happens with the nut on tighter, and also loose to see if that replicates the problem.
@@rla1000 How did you get on
@@MrandMrsDIY ?
Hi my paint cartridge wont come off. Fresh and clean attached it anticlockwise to attach. Couldn,t remove it clockwise. Could the thread be out of place. Ideas to get it off would be great. Im going to try removing it with hot water to see if it releases. Thanks
I've not came across this issue before, There is a same catch type locking trigger just below the trigger you pull to spray the paint this need pressing down a little before you try to twist to unlock, once you've down this once its simply and I kind of do it with out thinking about it, Lets use know if your still stuck and we'll shoot you a small video showing how to release the attachment. th-cam.com/channels/bgFqUg6UmYlwGV3vDUF9FA.html
Thanks so much for the advice got it off!
The video would be useful if you have time mate
@@hexboxx735 We'll certain try
When I plug mine in and pull the trigger the machine doesn’t rev up or blow air I tried to plug them in different plugs in my house but it still won’t do anything what should I do and what’s the problem
I'd try checking her fuse in the plug first
The most important thing I noticed is that the sprayer won’t pull thick material like a normal latex paint, which is absolutely silly, you have to water it down. I have 3 of them and always watering paint down, very disappointing….
It's just because the needle where you spray them out, any debris such as dried paint will clog the end of the needle up so it has to be free flowing and as thin as it can be without damaging the integrity of the paint itself. Cheers
My BIN Primer went on rough on my Chairs. What am I doing wrong ? I’m using the Flexio 5000 sprayer.
Hi Cheryl, sorry to hear this, it sounds like the paint you've used may of been to thick! have you tried diluting it
i just got the 690 flexio and was wondering is the air supposed to come out of the nozzle when the turbine unit is turned on and the trigger isn't pressed?
It may well be for that unit but it doesn't sound like a problem we've had before. You can consult Wagner's excellent customer service if you are looking for help. Thanks!
@@MrandMrsDIY thanks I'll give that a try. Good video by the way.
My fc 3500 yellow fitting attachment keeps spraying wide when it's on the narrow setting. Any advice how to fix?
The yellow nozzle does spray wider than the brown, as you may know there is a switch on the head that can be adjusted from a wide to narrow pass of paint, is yours set up right ? we have videos of them being set up please give them a look at and let us know
@@MrandMrsDIY I am familiar with it as I have used this sprayer on serval occasions for my business. For some reason when using yellow attachment eg (Spraying spindles) on the narrow setting it's still spraying very wide . I have washed it and put back together several times. Any ideas thanks in advance
I have used Wagner's DIY HVLP range for years. I have just purchased a W690 and need to clean the ventilation hose but it doesn't seem to want to detach from the base of the gun. It is not under paint pressure ( IE NO Air cap, Nozzle, Union nut, Gun handle or paint container). Is it fixed on these models? I have two of them (one of them I have not used yet) and they came pre-assembled and I only initially checked the nozzle, union nut and air cap to make sure they were assembled properly.
I know you said you had a video on cleaning the ventilation hose on Wagner DIY TH-cam, but I can’t find it. I’d love it if you could please link it. Thanks very much.
Yes mate here it is - th-cam.com/video/l5JD6hREhB0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=X5rVXJIhfhkOsLbG - if the link doesn't work it's called "Wagner WallPerfect HVLP paint sprayer- Clean Up by Craig Phillips" - Thanks mate!
I want to get the wall spray attachment for my W100, but the Website says it’s not compatible?
Is that the larger reservoir? Thanks
My 3500 will not open. I know the paint hasn’t dried because it happened mid paint job but I can not get it open to refill. Any tips?
Hmm that's bizarre! Try the old tea towel trick and wrap it around it and pull it open. If not you may have to contact Wagner's Support on their website. Cheers
I have a Flexio 3500, can you tell me why the unit randomly turns on and off when I have the switch on running the turbine constantly?
I'm not to sure about that ive not hear of it before, could a wire be loose in the plug connection
I purchased a flexio 2500 .... where does the vaseline go 😕
Check out the set up videos for this unit
I keep having issues with material leaking from the trigger … it’s coming through the small gaps where the trigger is held on.. I’ve taken it apart pulled the metal piece out.. cleaned the entire needle .. it works for a bit then runs again .. any advice on that?
It sounds like you have the pressure up to high and the paint maybe to thick, have you watched all of our trouble shooting and set up videos
You showed one of the nozzle wood & metal heads but, not the wall painter sprayer and how its put back together. Please show a clip with putting back the wall sprayer nozzle and pieces. Thanks
Hi, see my other comment for advice, cheers
How to put wagner fully back together from scratch
It should all screw back into place properly, have a look at the instructions you got with the box if you are unsure where any pieces go!
ive lost the blue umbrella valve in the air tube where can i get another
Depending on the make and model, you should be able to contact Wagner and ask for a replacement part, either that or you could get one off an alternate parts website, but just make sure it will work with your correct model! Cheers
Air tube seal or the check valve is lost. My wagnor flexio sprayer is useless. Advise
Hi Zarin, sorry to hear the seal or valve is lost, do call Wagners tec center to order a spar one, the Flexio's are certainly not useless they are amazing units that work great when fully set up correctly
Oil paint also need to add water ????
If its waterbed paint yes add about 5-10% usually, it will help the paint flow easier, but No if its Oil based, add the same 5% in White spirts
Today I used one those and my judge Are Garbaje tomorrow iI going for my warantie
That's a shame, contact your retailer or Wagner directly if you have any problems with it
Why does it keep tripping the GFCI every time I try to flush it out with water?
What's the GFCI sorry ?
@@MrandMrsDIY The breaker on the power outlet.
opti stain plus is making a pulsating spray pattern. frustrating
Hmm not sure why, have you gone onto the live chat on Wagner's website to help you out? I would try watering down the paint by 10% with clean cold water!
Sprayer is spraying without pulling trigger!does it have to have blue filter on tube
I'm not sure which filter you are referring to sorry, Often if the paint is continuing to come out after you have stopped pulling the trigger then the air pressure maybe to high or even the point to thick, sometimes both. try turning pressure down and diluting the paint a fraction
Having the same problem you know any fix for it ?
@@exceedyourvission9453 There could be a number of things, please watch all set up videos and get to understand the right settings for air and paint flow with different paints and units so you get too right
I had this problem today. Was using masonry paint. It Was masonary i pored back into the tin from a scuttle that I was using. It was a tiny little stone stuck at the end of the filter preventing the little plastic bit (the bit that pulls back when you pull the trigger) from going fully forward
@@craigmurphy5871 Yea we've seen this happen before, the paint must be clear of any debris
Mine just exploded whilst painting and it won’t turn on!
That doesn't sound right and should happen, You'll have to call customer services for that one, all Wagner units come with a full guarantee
háganlo en español, en Latinoamérica hay muchas cagadas con esas máquinas... tal vez tengan solución...
Sure, might be worth exploring
I think really your Lee Nelson lol
Quala-teeeeeeee!
Got no pressure in the tank doesn't spray
which model are you referring to
Trigger! Why is no one addressing the actual trigger? I haven't had one drop of paint ever out of this brand new sprayer. The trigger doesn't work and is not mentioned anywhere in the manual or in videos. I moved the plastic screw back and forth but it changed nothing. I have tried you SM and no reply back yet. I really wanted to try this for the 1st time and am now so frustrated.
Hi Susanne, sorry to hear your having an issue with the trigger! Ive never seen any of Wagners units having issues with there triggers! what unit do you have ??
@@MrandMrsDIY The control sprayer for exterior. The yellow plastic part of the trigger flaps back and forth. The plastic screw on the back of it goes through the rigid black piece of the trigger. The black piece does not move. What purpose does the screw serve? What creates resistance or pressure for the yellow part that moves back and forth? The black part is screwed to the body and doesn't look like it's meant to move. Can somebody look at the sprayer and help me understand where I'm going wrong?
Mine is blowing air but not product. I’ve tried everything I’ve seen on the video
Give the tech department a call at Wagner HQ they should be able to talk you though any issues you may have,
I can’t get my paint canister off any
Suggestion?
What's it stuck onto @@joelopez9060
It’s stuck on to sprayer I can not un screw it
En español por favor
The auto subtitles that TH-cam provide should work. Thanks!
Went through $800.00 worth of paint over 6hours in 1 small room .WTF? not a happy camper. had to clean every time the canister ran out, if not it would just spit the paint out allover the place. model 4000.still not done.
Really! R you sure its a Wagner unit? I'm not formula with the 4000 model
@@MrandMrsDIY Yep Looking at the box now Flexio 4000
@@mofoco1971 If the paints spitting its normally to thick and would need dilution, have you looked at all the videos about setting up before use
Not helping at all. My problem is that my gun doesn’t spray when it’s on but shots out clogs of paint when I turn it off
This sounds like the air pressure is turned up to high and the paint is to thick, quite often its only minor tweaks are required to get it working well,
What paint are you using
Great sales/service person. Terrible product.
Sorry to hear that mate, may I ask your thoughts on it?
Very bad sprayers
How come you think this
