I agree with many other commenters. Step by step, clear explanations. I just bought a flexio 2500 and have been hesitant (afraid) to try it. I have more confidence now.
Thank you for showing us how to use a paint sprayer. I’ve been wanting to learn how to use one. You have done such a good job explaining how to use one and how you will use one for large and small pieces. Thank you again for explaining how to use one, I’ve watched several videos and your is the best I’ve watched.
Thank you, best video I've seen yet! I just bought a Wagner Flexio sprayers & been watching a lot of different videos. And you broke it down & explained things great. And for a newbie like me, thats exactly what I needed! Thank you again!
In the Uk rn. Got a loan to use a cheap one and about to go ham. Glad I got a great vid without extra antics , loads of info and a bonus for being a brother. Thanks
Thank you! About to venture to paint my fence and as a female I was a little hesitant but you restored my confidence. I have a brand new sprayer just like that one so a big plus. You did a perfect job at your demonstration.
Thank you Brother for this video. I just bought one to paint my son’s room. I don’t know how to use the thing but I knew I had to get it done. Thank you for this video. I’m ready to paint now. 😘
I've never used a paint sprayer before. You definitely made me feel more confident in my understanding of how to use and what to expect when using this sprayer. Thank you
Bro, I appreciate this video….I am in the process of picking one up and of course nervous because you don’t want to misuse it and make mistakes. You made it easy for us DIY’ers. I will subscribe
Perfect instructions. Thank you for not assuming that we already know some things. It’s better to tell some people things they already know than to not tell some of the people things they don’t know. 😊
I just bought a Wagner paint sprayer at a pawn shop, very affordable and with a guarantee! Anyway, it did not come with instructions, so I found this tutorial. Hey, this is the best tutorial yet that I’ve watched. I’m confident now. Thanks so much, you’re a natural born teacher.
You are a very good teacher on TH-cam. Straight to the points and clearly explain what needs to be understood. Thank you so much for the helpful video!
I should have watched this first before doing my first ever paint spray project. Such a great video! I had the sprayer nozzle pointed the wrong way for "up and down" VS "side to side". Now I know. Also, thanks for clarifying how to clean everything for water-based VS oil-based materials. Hopefully I can clean it out properly now that I know if it isn't too late. Thanks for the great video about the machine itself.
I was very nervous about using a paint sprayer, the different settings, how to thin my paint, how to clean my sprayer. Thank you again for going through step by step using a paint sprayer. First time watching your videos and now I'm a loyal subscriber. Thank you again #Caliber8 Tools and DIY!!!! Hello from Philadelphia!!!!
It was a great video! Just one question. If I have to paint multiple coats ( let’s say there is an hour drying time between coats) do I totally clean the sprayer between every coats?
Hi instead of the hard pickup tube that needs to be adjusted when you are spraying up or down, I added a flexible tube with a weight on the end. Gravity pulls the pickup tube to the correct end of the paint reservoir.
Great video, was to lazy to read the instructions so i just watched your video. Got to say you did a great job explaining all the parts and suggesting all the settings they worked out great, thankyou.
Wow. Thank you for taking the time to share knowledge about this product and suggestions on the best ways to use it. I am definitely more knowledgeable about the process and will look into this product. Much appreciation.
Thank you so much!! This was very helpful! Not only did I learn the terminology for each part, I also learned how to use my new paint sprayer along with a few tips of yours . Again Thanks so much.
My friend thanks for your video, wish I had a shop teacher as through as you are. Just bought a flexion and am doing drywall and staining new kitchen cabinets. Didn't know about the liners but will be my first order of business in the morning to get a few boxes of them. Appreciate you!
I’ve been painting cabinet bases and doors for a remodel I’m doing. It comes out great but is tedious. Im definitely going to try one of these for the cabinet base in my guest bathroom and laundry room cabinets and exterior doors. Great info.
My question is, you cleaned out the tube and you disposed of the bag but what about the inner workings of the spray gun? Do you need to run something through the machine so that the parts in between the two and the are also cleaned?
nice, thx for sharing, i figure there is a Vaseline pack with it for around rings( i didnt use it), also it says to detach the nozzle/tubes and clean it...or else if water based, just spray some soap/water true to clean inside it....or do it with mineral oil or thinner if oil based. thnx for sharing !
Thank you for making the video. The setting explanations are good. If you'd used a contrasting paint from the surface being painted it might have helped the viewer. I'm going to use it for painting vertical parts on deck rail.
Thank you so much!! This was very helpful! Not only did I learn the terminology for each part, I also learned how to use my new paint sprayer along with a few tips of yours (like using a disposable bag in the cup to save time on cleaning). Again Thanks so much 😊
Thanks for a very educational video. A question - if I wanted to paint the wall with water based paint, do I just buy the water based paint off the shop and pour it into the container and spray? And the paint I mention is the same type that I normally use with a roller brush, or it requires any special type of paint? Thanks again.
@@Caliber8Tools Noted with thanks. I noted from the video no dilution required on the paint which can be poured directly from the can into the reservoir. Thanks again for a prompt reply.
Awesome! Awesome video!!! Very informative and detailed. I'll keep looking out for your new videos!!! With this sprayer you dont have to reduce the thick latex paint?
I've seen a lot of people saying you need to thin your paint by adding water, for example, 1 cup to 1 gallon of paint. Is that still necessary if you are using this type of sprayer? Great video, btw! Thank you!
Depends on the paint and the nozzle. Thicker paint like water based latex or acrylic May need thinning. If you’re using the I-spray nozzle, it can handle latex patents without thinning. If you’re using the Detail Finish nozzle for fine finishes, thinning may be required.
Question: I do glow in the dark paint and it has little powder crystals that need to come out. Do you think this sprayer or any other sprayer would work? I’m wanting to be able to get fine details as well as big areas. Any information on what sprayers might be best I would appreciate the information. I’ve tried Airbrush but after 300 dollars into it, I discovered the grains wouldn’t flow out of the brush…..😂😂🤓

So im learning before it comes lol.. glad i saw your video...btw. has anyone ever told u, u kinda look like you could be related to that comedian named "Aries Spears " 😊 thanks again for the info.

My wife purchased a Craco X5 magnum for me for Christmas, I guess she has some painting planed for my future😇. Are most paint sprayers about the same in maintenance and functioning?
I did learn something. I LOVE the idea of using a plastic bag to put paint in. Next time please us another colour besides white. It was hard to see the spray patterns. 🙂

If I wanted to paint over graffiti on brick, what would the setting be?
On this sprayer, adjust the pressure control knob to achieve an even coverage. Practice on a piece go cardboard for example.
I had a ryobi paint sprayer. The instructions said that after 4x filling the white bucket part, it had to be taken apart and oiled. Is that true with this sprayer?
It should be disassembled and cleaned after each use.
What’s considered thicker paint ?
Anything over 150 microns.
For example I use chalk paint to paint furniture. Chalk paint is a thick paint
Did you find it used more material than a roller ? Did you find you still had to roll out the paint for a consistent finish ?
It looks good for small areas....cupboards - closets, doors baseboards etc. I'm just concerned large areas aren't filled properly.
Good vid......gonna try mine tonight on a laundry room.....but am getting ready to go with an 18in. roller.
You always use less paint with a roller. No, if you apply the coat correctly there is no need for a roller. Glad it helped.
How do I use the sprayer when painting inside the cabinets in my kitchen ? The sprayer doesn't fit inside
You can remove the doors and spray them separately. You can angle the sprayer to hit the sides and also the top and bottom. You may need to use a small brush for the areas you can’t access with the sprayer.
Excellent break down of the Wagner i will be purchasing a 3000 in a weeks. This video is very helpful THANK YOU

What about painting the ceiling? Does this handle the job?
Yes.
What is the jelly for... I just bought this sprayer yesterday.
It’s used to lubricate the O rings and nozzle seal so paint won’t stick to those areas.
Well done video!! Great instruction and attention to detail! Thank you for sharing.
