@@presonus hello Presonus and Joe.. It will be cool if you guys could add master channel to the arrangement page. It could be handy if you don't want to open the mix console but lower the output of the master channel. Also can you add the level meter as a separate window attached to to the edit, mix and browse tabs so that when clicked, it shows at the far right corner just as Joe has it set up.. 🙏🏾

I've used another DAW for years, and was pleasantly surprised to find that Studio One was equal parts "cool looking" and very usable and functional. The Presonus Studio One website says 'we don't dictate to you how to work.' Perhaps you could pass along to Presonus that they should incorporate into the mixer the ability to display/hide faders to control the volume, etc. of outboard gear (synth workstations, etc.) The added steps needed due to have no outboard gear faders is a pain.

That extra meter screen in the mix console seems pretty handy to do a static mix without getting tempted to add plugins. Just bought Studio One after hesitating for a long time, however the deal I got was too good to pass. I'm still a Cubase user and can't fully switch with the ammount of projects I have open in Cubase still, however I'll try it for new stuff cause it seems to have some features I really wish Cubase had (still like Cubase though)

Wow! A lot in this video! Does any know if there's a difference putting plugins on the inserts on the input tracks vs putting them inserts on the track channels themselves?

    • @DaytimeLightShow
      @DaytimeLightShow 2 ปีที่แล้ว

The advantage is processing. If you run one instance of a plugin and simply control the 'amount' of the effect on multiple channels, you will reduce process resource allocation. From my limited understanding, there is no actual advantage to running a plugin on a bus channel versus applying the effect on the instrument channel. Additionally, for me, I tend to do a lot of plugin automation, so usually that is intended for one channel, and not multiple channels. So I will use bus channels as much as possible, but I do not believe that makes using effects on instrument or audio channels "wrong', but I am a complete moron/amatuer lol

I want to record my songs, using guitar, microphone, Roland keyboard and bass. Arranging windows is easy to grasp cause you can just play around, but where is there any info on How to Use the Mixer in #StudioOne? I LOVE the software and hardware!
    Good that you exist!
    Thank you!
P.S. I know, everyone has good and bad experiences with companies all the time,
but, what I had, am grateful that I found my DAW home and the hardware (monitors and controllers) are a dream.
Had a lot of audio gear, from M-Audio, Creative, Steinberg, Native Instruments etc.
In terms of software: you cannot go wrong with Studio One.
In terms of hardware: the monitors are a dream.
I also have the M-Audio BX monitors and I like both companies,
    the way it sounds.
The audio interfaces from PreSonus (Audiobox and the ENTRY level USB audio interfaces are nothing special,
but really decent - at least you are not being lied about the components, like M-Audio and Behringer does,
when it comes to their USB audio interfaces... we have PROOFs :).
I use other audio interfaces (Native and Audient).
The CONTROLLERS (Faderport etc.) are a dream.
Maybe the live mixers, as well - I have not tried them out, but they seem like a ROCK.

Hi Joe, I have a few AR22 analog mixers and have Studio One Pro. The reason why I'm using analog mixers is I have dozens of synthesizers in my studio. I also have an AR22 controlling 20 microphones in my drum studio. My question is how do you get the AR22 to use just one track to record on Studio One Pro? When I choose my interface device it pulls up all the channels on the mixer independently. I just want to record only the main output of the mixer without having to chose the channels. Is there a way to setup Studio One Pro to do this? I currently go in an delete the channels I'm not recording. It is a headache.
    Thanks!

@@presonus Hi Joe, thank you for your response. I just want to record using the Master Out of the Mixers.
Capture software looks to serve me better since I will just be doing straight forward recording like you would do with the SD card, except with the SD card, you can't see the levels as you record. Either way, I don't need to see all separate channel levels on the software. Those levels are preset on the mixer.
