I love this video, in my opinion it sets up a standard for tutorial videos: funny, thorough and focusing and repeating all the necessary stuff still without treating you like a dummy. Thx this series is a Xmas 🎁 for me after returning to recording with a 20 year gap ... Thx again keep it up with these videos

Thanks Joe! You always know how to make a average "JOE" feel better...Because of this video I now feel like I can open up Studio One and actually create a song or a project without feeling "looppy shmoopy". Thanks Joe.

Oh my golly gosh, how I've missed you Joe! I've not made any music for ages and am just getting back into making something, so first of all I had a Studio One 5 upgrade to take care of and here we are. So you're official with PreSonus now? Congrats dude. Your teaching style is second to none and your cheeky, witty style is so engaging. So nice to see you again!

Thanks for the great videos, Joe. You have an awesome, easy to understand and very humorous way of presenting the material. Thanks for going back and reviewing a process step each time. Thanks for making this video Joe it was very helpful and appeared in my TH-cam feed just when I needed it. I plan on creating a few "Drum Loop Templates" ranging from a straight to slightly syncopated. Studio One can be overwhelming when a person is first starting, videos like yours take some of the steepness out of our learning curve. Oh, and thanks for demystifying the Tap Tempo feature. Aces to you.

You can skip the 'Convert part to pattern' option by using ALT + double click. This creates a pattern instantly. I assume on a Mac this is Option + double click.

Flstudio 4 cubase reaper sonar reason.
Now I have ableton bitwig ableton renoise.
Im not a fan of ableton renoise is great but has a huge learning curve bitwig is great for analog style synthesis and sound design has a learning curve and some issues with getting input from mics and guitars.
S1 looks solid but its taking me a while to get a decent workflow compared to flstudio 5 in my past.

Been in live bands for years… Just to say… bought Studio One to ‘do some stuff’ with a mate.. didn’t do it. Hadn’t touched it.. never used it.
Followed your tutorial on a basic drum loop and actually got something saved!! Your method is superb… just got to work out the next step of how to add some sort of keyboard etc.😂

Great video !!! I learned better what I had already seen the other day in another video. It should be added that you can also create VARIATIONS of the pattern by accessing the inspector of the pattern itself.
And then for example to have loops for the basic rhythm and loops with cuts that are then positioned where we want in the track through the usual methods of cutting and pasting, etc.

I kept trying to use my keyboard as a pad, which worked but after recording anything I'd hit stop and the recording would disappear?? Still don't know why that happens. But now I see a way to do it from start to finish. Thank you
