    I've been a Sphere user for a month and am diving headfirst into this fantastic DAW. I am having an issue with plugin windows NOT opening up when they're part of an insert or send. Let's say I drag/drop the Pro EQ to a channel--- plugin window opens and I can use it and close it normally. Now I exit the program, saving of course, and reopen later. I can't get that plugin window to open as it did when I first drag/dropped it. Same with the level meter trick you've shown on another video--- resizing and lining it up on the side of the screen. The plugin windows disappear and won't open unless I delete them and drag/drop another to it.😟
    So far these videos have been extremely helpful and valuable to newbies like me who are enjoying this DAW! Thank you🤘

    Even with "Getting Started" videos Joe includes an item or two that long-term users may have forgotten about; this has been a very informative series for S1 users.

    Joe, this part of the Tips and Tricks series was awesome man! I learned a great deal from it. I love Studio One and knew I made the right choice when I jumped over from my previous DAW a few years ago. Keep up the great work it's very necessary!

    Exporting Stems like that sounds way easier than how I do it in Pro Tools. Thanks for the info!!

    Dropping the tracks into DropBox like that is a super handy feature! You're edging me toward getting Studio One :-)

      Nice. To be fair, you could export things to dropbox from any DAW, but yes, you should come on over and join the S1 team. 😊 - Joe Gilder

    Used the merge files in the browser to take L & R separate tracks and make a stereo track for video edit. Didn't have to create anything- just select, right click and done. Studio One FTW! Great series.

    I'm moving to Studio One and I admit it's hard. See, I came from Audacity which is far from hard; super super basic. I've been binging on Studio One videos to learn, so thanks 🤜🤛☺

    Hi, Joe! Thanks for a fantastic tutorial series! I am learning a LOT! Brand new to the tech side of recording, and just getting started, so I definitely need this! Here's a question I have. I am recording and engineering audiobooks, so I only need one channel, vocal, and for now, that's it. How do I set my dbls levels in the pre-recording stage to minimize mastering changes? My range has to be between -26 on the low end, and a peak level of -3. Thanks!

    if you go icons view, just drag the brows pane to be super wide so you don't have to scroll. It's the quickest way to spot what you need.

    This is awesome! I am trying to find the details on how to add Dropbox to my Browser File area. Trial and error and video search have not yielded a solution. I really would like to do this! Thanks!

    Sorely missing categories for plugins. If you create categories in the FILES tab (create root from here), should be able to do the same for instruments and effects.
    Bitwig does this well - as well as other obscure DAWs like Tracktion Waveform. It's very helpful. Sometimes I just want to brows all my compressors or browse all my reverbs...

    How about finding an actual file or sample? There's a lot more to the browser than dragging a plugin or exporting stems.

    hello Joe, Im a 9 year logic x user and i tried st1 and i realy thing its an impressive daw with a good future...the only thing i miss from logic and also maybe cubase 10 they have better browsers for finding favorite plugins, lets say i wanna make my own custom folder for my eqs or comps, theres no option in st1 to do that...regards and thank you for your amazing videos...

    • @presonus
      @presonus  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, there is. There's a "Favorites" folder at the top of the browser. Right-click your favorite plugins and choose to make them a favorite, then they show at the top right. You can see my favorites in this video actually. - Joe Gilder

    • @foxproduction4554
      @foxproduction4554 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@presonus yes with right click it all the plugins makes them as favorite, not in separate folders, eq, comp, sat, etc...

      you can also use the search, you rarely have to type more than a couple of letters. faster than browsing no matter how its organised imo. you can also make macros for your favourite plugins and insert them with one click, something like lemur is awesome for this, and its one of my favourite features in s1. there are some other things from logic I really miss though. macro is - 1.track add insert to selected channel.
      2. console show channel editor.

    I have uninstalled a 3rd party plugin but it is still showing up in the browser even after restart.
    I know I can hide it, but I want let the uninstalled plugin automatically like the previous versions.
    What to do?

    I need something much simpler; all of these videos are quite informative but for a true beginner it is way too much. I don't have enough experience with the terms and what they mean. But I DO WANT TO LEARN! Anybody have a suggestion for real beginner tutorials Joe?

    Hi Joe!
    It seems that the procedure described in 5:50 (drag & drop range) does not work. (Studio One 5.2.0.63799 Win x64). I am horrified because it is a much needed procedure.
    Please could you try to verify it? Thank youvery much.
    Petr.

    You are going to fast when explaining your videos. Remember some like me are new to this but wishes to learn. Your pace of explanation seems to be geared to you who already know how to use the software. I'm already intimidated, so please slow down.
