Did exactly the same install based on this video so thanks for that but although hot today managed to brake one of the clips that hold the side panel. They get very brittle over time are designed bad in the very first place.

Great video, thanks. Just waiting to get a hardwiring kit and should be all sorted. I did something stupid and pulled off the plastic trim (left of the inside of the windscreen) causing the clips to snap, so now the top of it won’t clip back into place properly. Any idea whether this can be fixed?
I know you didn’t say to do this in the video, I just mis-remembered 😛
The main dealer or some car shops will sell clips or as I have seen in the past a chap had stuffed a large ball of Blu tack behind the plastic trim to hold it in place,yes that's a bodge but it was held very firmly. (Do you do if you car has an airbag behind the plastic trim)
PJs projects Ah okay, thanks! It’s a 2008 Ford Fiesta (2002-2008 model) like in the video, so nah it doesn’t have an airbag there
i did this and the exact same fuse and after just about an hours of driving the Dashcam kit 10amp fuse has blown. Any ideas why?
Check your earth connection
@@tonyddoyle9132 should be ok as it's screwed in and via a loop so no way it's not in securely 😐
