It was over 2 years ago, It was wired up to a false fuse holder with the hard wire kit, if I remember right I removed the fuse from sunroof which is not live when ignition is off, fitted the false fuse holder and refitted the fuse
Thanks Martin, we had someone skid on snow & hit our rear end on the previous car, if I had some footage it would have made the claim easier to prove it was there fault not ours as I would had footage of him skidding into our back end 👍
I’m thinking of getting the same cam for my 2015 Kuga. Was there much excess wire to be tucked away for the rear camera? Great video and thanks for sharing.
Also struggling with this , i noticed the 12v stays live so didnt want to drain car battery if i was connected to this , i have tried washer pump fuse but the dash cam wont turn off even with ignition off , also tried fuse for reverse light that also stays live when the engine is off the dash cam stays on 😮 o dont have the moon roof on my kuga so struggling to what fuse i can piggyback from
Unfortunately I Can't help - I also found out it kept the the electrics active & camera stayed on - I now just take camera off mount when parked up for a long period

Nice job Andrew, not got a rear camera on ours but might fit one. Good clear footage from it.

Have you found any issues with DAB reception with the rear camera fitted?
Sorry I don't use DAB just FM so don't really know
Nice neat job
Thank you 👍
Good morning friends. 🙏
Good morning, have a lovely week & stay safe 🙏
I believe the cigarette lighter operates on a sleep timer, it stays live for 16minutes until vehicle goes to sleep.
I wasn't sure so I did it to the sunroof 👍
