Ty for ur great videos, I'm actually signed up for mach-e back in Feb but still w8ing for it ( every day its getting postponed :/ ). i have a question for u, if u can test it out on mach-e, i checked all over internet couldn't find it.
what would happen if u ignore the hands free alarm ( the eyes on the road error) , what would happen if u ignore that alarm for long time? i saw Tesla slow down the car and put in park with emergency lights on after 3 alarm ignored. Ty

Thank you. I recommend you charge to 85% for better battery health. I like the Ford Mach-E, and especially the AWD model since it is safer. I hope they add a solar panel standard. None of the Teslas come with a solar panel yet, so may be if Ford did that, it would help inspire them. A solar panel could not just add some range each day, but help keep the temperature cooler in the summer.

How is the vehicle in cabin quietness? And I don’t mean that artificial engine sound, I mean in terms of tire/road noise and cabin sound insulation. I like my music at very low volume but the Rav4 for example is super loud after 65mph

Absolutely does, just like when you engange an AC on an underpowered car, you feel that load affect the engine and slow it down a bit. Reginerative breaking uses the same principle, but with a much larger load that feeds what would be lost energy back to the battery. Its all about mitigating loss of energy, which can typically be measured by heat dissipation, typical brakes generate a tone of heat when you stop - all of that is wasted energy - the EV have a unique capability to 'recapture' a good portion of that lost energy and give it back to the batter, all the while saving you brake parts! :)

The time saved not having to go into the stealership is almost worth it in itself to get an EV. I don’t have a Mach E but I have a different EV. Over two years ownership and about 21k miles on it. I rotate my own tires (10 minutes and free to do) and only thing I’ve needed to spend money on is the cabin filter. Takes two filters and came out to $30 for the pair. So maintenance costs alone for over 2 years is $30. Not a typo. Incredible!

Even if you have it off, it will still apply regen braking before friction braking so you'll get most of the efficiency and wear and tear benefits. I would just do whatever your driving preference is. This behavior is not the case for all EVs, which is actually why the Mach E gets some criticism for the feel of its brakes.

I have 21000 on my Mach e. It’s a 2021 car. 7 recalls so far. And it updates like my cell phone. One pedal drive I don’t use. When I did use it, the rotors rusted up. Then when I turned it off, the rust caused the rotors to groove from the brake pads. I wasn’t to happy about that. But Ford took care of it. The tires still seem quite healthy. I rotate them every 10,000 miles as recommended. Washer fluid doesn’t cost me a thing because I get it free at work. I do oil changes at work. It’s great not putting that stuff and gasoline in my car. The biggest issue I have is the range anxiety. This is not a tourist car. It is for local driving only. Charging takes way too long. I do it at home, overnight. Two or three times a week. BTW, there are other fluids. Brake fluid and air conditioner recharge. All in all a great car but it’s the range anxiety that gets me the most. I use an ICE car for long trips.

By the way, tires / tire rotations, cabin filters, brake pads, 12V batteries, windshield wipers...aren't "maintenance" items
    They're consumables
that every car on the road generally require replacing when they wear out
Maintenance = "Maintaining" the life of what's generally considered a non-consumable part
Such as changing oil for an engine or a transmission

I git those done when in for other recalls. The brakes were covered under warranty and I only paid $25 to get brakes replaced. I drive too fast too often and Thus break too hard. But getting better😅

    EV Cost:
The only thing that really matters is depreciation. 35% loss in 3 years compared to 5% for a well built ICE or hybrid should wake up most buyers.
    Some don’t wake up.
Some don’t even care about cost.
Some are getting the surprise of their life as that can’t get out of the car and its payments because the loss is so great.
Now if you are in Government who cares??? That’s somebody else’s problem (in their mind). And the Taxpayers just accept it.
    Shocking.

Damn somebody must own a Ford dealership or work for Ford. No way can you possibly be purchasing Ford because you think there worth there value? Just Literally PROVED that to my cousin. His wife also had a Mach E GT, and he a 2021 Expedition that he traded his 2019 Escalade in for. What’s crazy is I already showed him he was getting ripped off a couple years ago when I compared my wife’s 2020 Palisade Limited ( 46k ) to his 83k Escalade. But what’s he do, trades in backwards for a 76k Ford Expedition. She currently has a 2023 Palisade Calligraphy 53k which was compared to his 2021 Expedition that he paid 24k more for. Let me explain what you get that is better, or what makes that vehicles value of 24k over the Palisade. You get a bigger vehicle, it’s like 2 inches wider and a foot longer. But crazy enough, the third row seating isn’t a huge difference. Well only in space that is, because the 3rd row of her Palisade has far better materials, heated seats AND they are power folding. Being a bigger vehicle is the ONLY thing I couldn’t prove to him that the 24k cheaper Palisade was better. But it handles better, is a far more comfortable ride, quieter, it’s FAR MORE luxurious inside, far better safety features. Heads up display for Palisade, not the 24k more expedition, far better graphics and beautiful clear 360 degree parking on the infotainment screen. Two 12.4 inch displays compared to 8 and 7 inch displays. Side view camera monitor’s for the driver and passenger built into the tachometer and speedometer when you turn on turn signal. And I wanted to put the highway assistance driving to the test BUT………the 77k Expedition didn’t have it, wtf! Palisade has beautiful ambiance lighting, couldn’t compare that either. But hey for 77k his Expedition just had to have a better sound system. Well hahahaha, that was a joke. The full blasted Expedition that goes to volume 30 ? wasn’t as loud as the Palisade turned halfway. And I would be mad if I had a 25k vehicle with that sound quality, let alone 77k. I will tell you this, Ford definitely knows how to cover the interior with cheap plastic. It’s genius how Ford can put that much obvious CHEAP PLASTIC everywhere, and still sell a Expedition, call it a Limited, and get people to pay 77k for that. I watched him and his wife getting pissed when I was pointing all this out, and keep reminding them we paid 23k less. I said guys quit getting so defensive and upset at me. I said I didn’t buy that shit, you did, I didn’t sell you that shit, Ford did! I do my homework, I watch all the reviews. And you can Hate Hyundai all you want, but Hyundai gives better quality, better warranties, and cheaper prices than ALL the competitors! .I said don’t feel bad, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda have all been forced to copy off of Hyundai/Genesis/Kia the last 7 years. Ford and GM just realized they need to start copying now. There just 7 or 8 years late to the party is all. You know with the fantastic driving assist, the digital dash and big screens and luxurious cabins, oh and not to mention the constant change in futuristic designs. Yeah Hyundai was the very FIRST to start offering all that in the mainstream market. And let’s not forget how Hyundai said we’re going to put big infotainment screens and most safety features even in our entry level vehicles. Forcing all the other manufacturers to not just put that stuff in there TOP TRIM. Yeah ALL you other manufacturer fanboy’s should thank Hyundai. You know what I mean, when you get in your new car and go hey look at this cool thing that my car has. It most likely has that because they were forced to COPY Hyundai and play keep up. Now let’s talk shortly about my Genesis GV60 compared to his wife’s Mach e. . Well her Mach e is bigger, and because of it being bigger, I think the design looks slightly better. Now I say this honestly. If my GV60 was as big or bigger, I would definitely like the looks better on my GV60. The smaller size bothers me somewhat. I know it’s much bigger than a smart car, but that is how I keep picturing myself looking like as I drive by people. I always laughed at those people driving those things . And now I feel that’s me being laughed at in my tiny little smart car. Now the car is small, but it’s twice the size of a smart car, and it’s very roomy inside. . That said I will be trading in for the all new electric GV70. Oh comparing my GV60 to the Mach e GT. Oh I did, Mach e GT is bigger and….. yeah that’s all. I’m sorry it pulls off the line faster only from a dead stop, but then my GV60 blows the doors off the Mach e gt. And Mach e GT has bigger infotainment screen. That’s if you like that vertical tablet look that was copied off of Tesla. Everything else the GV60 is a much better vehicle. People do your homework on your next car purchase. Hyundai/Genesis/Kia changed the game 7 ir 8 years ago . I get that Honda caught up quick giving people better cabins and nicer materials , then Toyota, Nissan and Mazda stepped things up. There all offering more now in lower trims, but ALL of them only are doing that because they were forced to do so because Hyundai was doing it. But Ford and GM to just now finally offering slightly better cabins, that is a Joke. I mean to supposed to be American car manufacturers and offering Americans cabins that are polluted with cheap plastics and then asking these crazy ridiculous prices. Hyundai/Kia hasn’t even been around anywhere near as long as any of the others I mentioned. Yet they were the first mainstream manufacturer to offer a luxurious cabin feel at a far, far lower price. Don’t worry there prices will go way up as well. How could you blame them. They offer best is class in almost every area of a car and they see you all running out paying way more for a Ford, a freaking ford for way more money that doesn’t off close to what Hyundai offers. It’s you all who screw over us who actually know where to get the best value for our money. Oh, and I paid much less for my GV60 than my cousins wife paid for that Mach e GT. I could have bought a much bigger vehicle than the Mach e GT for less money that’s way more luxurious than my GV60. Could have got the GV70 or a entry level GV80 that’s still far more luxurious for around the same price. I will never purchase anything outside of Genesis/Hyundai. Genesis is hands down the best vehicle on planet earth dollar for dollar
