Indeed. I'm at 11K miles in my 2024 Mach-E Extended Range. I've only rotated the tires (my Ford dealership rotated the tires for free on Monday) and figure I have spent about $400 in electricity in driving it. Meanwhile, my Ford F-150 would have burned through about $1,700 in gas and an oil change for $129 at the Ford Quicklane for the same 11K miles.

I just got a model Y, with 3rd row for $1000 more and I use it for my dogs. Works great for them and doesn’t get my second row (for the humans) all furry.

I just found one for 20k with 5682 miles. I am really praying I can get it and doing whatever I need to in order to haha my dream car

I just got my Mach E yesterday and it is the best decision I could have made. I am currently doing a three year lease on it and love it.

On your question about Mache-e vs Model Y? The trade-offs to me are: 1. Looks (like you said!) - no comparison! 2. Durability: I’ve rented a Model 3 for a 10 days (vacation with spouse) and it took three (3!) swaps to get one that wasn’t broken/didn’t have to be returned. 1st car: passenger power seat controls broken -stuck in 45 degree seat back recline- wife can’t get comfortable, knees sore, no joy anywhere. Cheap plastic / not durable parts used. 2nd: Autopilot would not engage on Day 2 of use (cameras down). Cleaned cameras, then stopped to charge for 20 min, let it shut down closed/locked charging. After charge, still wouldn’t enable Autopilot on restart (camera deenergized..). 3rd car: flat on 2nd day of use (driven 50 miles on Interstate and clean streets; flat bed 40 miles back to agency (agency not doing job of checking car). Finally #4 got rest of job done. Mind you - EVERY ONE of the rental M3’s lots of ‘wear’ on the exteriors, marked up plastic undercarriage covers, worn plastic parts in interior. NOT impressed with the materials choices in a lot of the high use / wear parts of the car. My ID.4 and likely Mach-e built with better materials in high use areas. Advantage for M3/Y: Efficiency!! Our 4th M3 rental gave us 4.4 mi/kWh (Tesla posted stats) on a 300 mile travel day with 80% interstate travel at 60-70mph. Wont touch that on mainly interstate travel with any other EV, save a Lucid. For my money, unfortunately, if it’s not durable, I’m not a M3/Y buyer.

I own a Mach e GT performance and it is pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and look and interior. It is our only vehicle and have no issues with it. Love the video as well.

Only thing I kinda disagree with is tire rotation Sure you can do it yourself in your driveway but they still need to be balanced don’t they

I see video is old but thank you anyway! Just small advice from licensed electrician - clothes on electrical outlet is the huge fire hazard especially when something plugged in to it. Stay safe and good luck!

Do you still have the truck? Any long term issues running your hot MPT tunes? Trying to decide if I should go for an e30 or e50 tune. Love the 91 PRX already.

I traded in a Mazda CX9 I paid 45k in ‘22. Only got 26k for on a trade for the Mach E. No federal tax credit for these. Only $3500 in state if MSRP below 55K depending on state. Car is awesome fun to drive. My favorite car ever. No regrets. Audio is awesome and love driving my MachE. I have solar panels so a no brainer despite the added insurance.

So what are you going to do after the 8 years if the battery goes bad?

I daily drove an 01 v6 auto for 3 years. Put 200k problem free miles on it. It's a great first car for new drivers.

Autos are not an investment, they are an expense.
