Just tried this out and it came out very smooth and a dream to pipe. I would however reduce the amount of butter used as I can really taste the butter in the frosting more than it should. Maybe try 400g instead.
@@terryduckworth5105 On most of these recipes I think you are able to switch out half of the butter for shortening if you want. I don't want to lead you astray but help! Maybe try it out on yourself first? Good luck!
I find icing made with shortening to be kinda gross. It just covers your mouth in a layer of oil. We had a bakery in town when I was a teenager and they used shortening. They used it saying the color was more true, and it piped better. Which is probably true, but the coating it left in your mouth, I didn't like... 😊

Does icing made this way hold its shape? I could understand if the one with the candy don't, but I know she does a chocolate and vanilla one. If you pipe roses and leaves, or the border will they hold? Will this crust? Thabk you 😊

Hi just a question though. Can we use home made caramel sauce for flavoring [as u know it also consists of heavy creme for the fine texture] And since caramel sauce itself is too sweet what would be the ratio of caramel and condensed milk?
Last night I watch one of their other videos on how to make this frosting with chocolate, coffee, and CARAMEL! All on the same video, but if you cannot find, they used 1/2 c. of caramel (can, jar, whatever) and the same amount of butter and condensed milk as these recipes.
On the other recipes for this frosting, like their coffee, chocolate, and caramel flavors (off of this site), all made with the sweetened condensed milk, they said it could be used to frost, pipe, and was stable under fondant. Maybe go check that out. It is just one video, all three flavors.

Yes and when refrigerated it sets very firm like normal buttercream.

Yes you can. Once decorated and refrigerated, the cupcake frosting will set very firm like normal buttercream.

Yes you can. You will then need to bring it back to room temp and re-whip.
