A lot of value here, especially regarding deep breathing, something I discuss a lot on my channel (usually in the Wim Hof videos I create). The other points are all I totally agree with and glad to see you explaining the benefits of CBT
Awesome video! Good breathing techniques are really important especially for those struggling with anxiety and panic attacks because they actually work! Keep it up!
This is supper interesting, thanks for sharing, Alexa! I don't think either of us have experienced a panic attack yet, we've only had an anxiety attack once and focusing on our breath definitely helped!
I always found that idea of finding 3 things in your environment for each of your 5 senses really helpful. Great video, really practical help as always 😊
Hello dear, I was pleased with your company. We are distinguished friends. A beautiful world unites us. The world of love and peace is your friend, Coach Mohana from Palestine.🇵🇸
I am accustomed to anxiety attacks and use breathing to help get me through them since I was 11 years old…I’m now 36, I’ve never taken any medication or therapy to help even though many in my life have urged me to do so. I just recently, less than a week ago, had my first panic attack. I thought I was going to actually die. My ears were ringing, I felt deaf, I was sweating profusely, my body froze and I couldn’t move…I was mindfully aware though that I didn’t want to die so after minutes…I don’t know how long collapsed on my couch… I forced myself to stand and think I’m not going to die, after some deep breaths I managed to start calming my brain and body, which then led me to stumbling towards the bathroom and vomiting. After a quick shower and drinking some water I crawled into bed and sobbed hysterically in my husbands arms trying to explain my experience. I’m so scared of ever feeling that way again and don’t know what to do…
I have severe chronic pain and just thinking about not getting stronger pain relief made me ball my eyes out at work , this pain is killing me and I wouldn't want anyone to go through this. spinal nerve pain is absolutely f"cked.
My husband passed away 6 months ago i found him dead In our bed and my anxiety is coming back I can't sleep I'm gonna start back seeing the doctor for meds

First I thought it was my blood pressure because once a week my blood pressure would go up to 140 to 160 so I thought I was having a heart attack but the paramedics said I wasn’t having a heart attack but my Palms got sweaty and I started shaking they checked my heart and everything was fine but now my doctor put me on high blood pressure medication and anxiety pills 😢
How do you support your partner in feeling better about themselves? My partner hates her own body, and keeps verbally abusing herself. Honestly it's draining for me, to see her in so much pain, but also the constant negative energy wears off on me.
I hate to make it about myself, obviously what I feel is nothing compared to her, but it's still tough. Any input or a video would be greatly appreciated!
Ultimately, without maybe you realizing it, you staying by your partner's side when she is going through these episodes is very impactful. I would try to encourage your partner to speak to a professional and continue to provide praise while positively reinforcing positive statements or behaviors she may engage in. Also, verbalizing how you can better help your partner and being open about your feelings (without placing blame), might feel really intense/overwhelming, but could assist with your partner gaining some insight toward how this is affecting your relationship. I would further encourage you to seek out support yourself whether that is talking to a professional or joining a support group. You're right, this type of behavior can wear on the other person in the relationship and it's important for you to be feeling your best, so you can be the best version for yourself and your partner.
@@reallifepsych3309 Thank you so much for the response, I feel when I talk to her about how it impacts me, she seems more interested in improving which is amazing. But I just wished she would do it for herself! I'll talk to her again. On a side note: perhaps using more graphics in your vids could make it easier to understand. Also, TH-cam has a feature where you can subdivide a video into different parts, so it shows on the play bar at the bottom which section you're in. With videos like these about countdowns or different techniques, it could be a nice to have them in the bottom to see which section you're in.
I feel like you hear "just calm down" all too much when someone's having a panic attack.
Exactly!...it’s not that easy.

Thanks for the support. An anxiety attack and panic attack are actually the same thing. I shouldve also said that in the video.
This really helps. Especially the breathing techniques. I feel anyone could use it given stressful circumstances
Thank you. I just want to help anyone that might experience these attacks.

Super helpful video!
Thanks for the support!
Petting my cat has helped me overcome unexpected panic attacks. I switch focus on my purring cat, which calms me and slows my breathing.
Loved the shout out to the Arthur fist meme!
lol yess, you’re the first person to acknowledge it haha
