This is such a great video! Can you do one addressing the compassion fatigue experienced by educational professionals as well? Also, you mention a link to a quiz, but I don't see it. Could you direct me to it, please? Thanks!

Thank you so much for your video. Is is so clear and structured, as I like :) I'm a psycoterapist, and I know what is going on with me and what I should do about it, but it is so nice to hear from other person, that "yes, you feel right. Yes, you do right, it is exactly, as you feel it".

Thank you for this great video! i'd like to mention that we can also suffer from compassion fatigue when confronted directly or indirectly to animal exploitation and/or climate crisis. I link this phenomenon to Highly Sensitive People as well who are more proned to experience extreme compassion. Just wanted to mention that. Thank you, Alexa!

As a person highly involved in saving stray animals, i feel this comment. I am drained and is hard accepting I cannot save more.

I think the most common source of compassion fatigue nowadays, especially in the general population, is trauma, either experienced in the childhood, or more probably experienced recently. For example being around a manipulative person who constantly makes up situations and stories in order to get your sympathy and later you find out all along it was either a made up story or that they were the offender in that situation, or just from consistently treating you poorly and callously that you assume their cries for help are just attention seeking behaviors. Naturally, this is going to make that person less likely to extend compassion to others as this constant barrage of psychological is gonna exhaust the capacity for compassion.

I can barely find anything about growing up with autistic parents and potential damage done by it (unintentionally.)
It's never a deep dive or scientifically informed.
Could you do a video on this topic?
