He's the type of person who would groom a minor and used the the varying ages of consent around the world to justify himself.
Now understand that the entire Muslim world teaches this. And as the Muslims have been shipped out of Arabia their culture travels with them.
In Islam the most highly regarded sources are Muslim and Bukhari. Both categorized hadiths around marriage. Both contrast a previously married girl or a virgin who has consent with Aisha as a young virgin who had no consent. So the father consented on her behalf.
Bukhari:
“67-THE BOOK OF AN-NIKAH (The Wedlock)
(۳۹) باب إنكاح الرجل ولده الصغار، لقول الله تعالى : (والتي لم يحضن» [الطلاق : 4] فجعل عدتها ثلاثة أشهر قبل البلوغ .
(39) CHAPTER. Giving one's young children in marriage (is permissible). By virtue of the Statement of Allah: "...and for those who have no (monthly) courses (le. they are still immature)..."(V. 65.4) And the 'Idda for the girl before puberty is three months (in the above Verse).
5133. Narrated 'Aishah that the Prophet wrote the marriage contract with her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (.e. till his death).
Bukhari contrasts this with baligh virgins who must be asked for consent.
42) CHAPTER. The father or the guardian cannot give a vii^n or matron in marriage without her consent.
5136. Narrated Abu Hurairah ^ iii : The Prophet ^ said, “A matron should not be given in marriage except after consulting her; and a virgin should not be given in marriage except after her permission.” The people asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! How can we know her permission?” He said, “Her silence (indicates her permission).”
So Bukhari thought Aisha was a minor at consummation. He used Q65:4 and categorized baligh and non-baligh virgins separately.

Chapter 9. Seeking Permission Of A Previously-Married Woman In Words, And Of A Virgin By Silence
[3473] 64 (1419) Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said : "A previously-married woman should not be married until she has been consulted, and a virgin should not be married until her permission has been sought." They said : "O Messenger of Allah. what is her permission?" He said : "If she remains silent."
Chapter 10. It Is Permissible For A Father To Arrange The Marriage Of A Young Virgin
[3479] 69 (1422) It was narrated that 'Aishah said : "The Messenger of Allah married me when I was six years old and he lived with me when I was nine years old." She said : "We came to Al Madinah and I fell sick for a month and my hair came down to my neck. Umm Rúmân came to me when I was on a swing and some of my friends were with me. She called me loudly and I went to her, and I did not know what she wanted of me. She took me by the hand and made me stand at the door. I said : 'Hah, Hah (as if gasping for breath) until I had calmed down, then she took me into a house where there were some women of the Ansar who said : 'With good wishes, and blessings, and good fortune. She handed me over to them and they washed my hair and adorned me, and then suddenly the Messenger of Allâh was there, and they handed me over to him."
No consent needed or asked because a non-baligh virgin is too young for consent.
Ibn Majah explicitly called Aisha a minor at consummation.
Ibn Majah:
Chapter 11. Seeking The Consent Of Virgins And Previously-Married Women 1870. It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbâs that the Messenger of Allâh said : "A widow has more right (to decide), concerning herself than her guardian, and a virgin should be consulted." It was said : "O Messenger of Allah, a virgin may be too shy to speak." He said : "Her consent is her silence." (Sahih)
Chapter 13. Marriage of Minor Girls Arranged By Their Fathers
1876. It was narrated that Aishah said : "The Messenger of Allâh married me when I was six years old. Then we came to Al-Madinah and settled among Banu Harith bin Khazraj. I "became ill and my hair fell out, then it grew back and became abundant. My mother Umm Rumân came to me while I was on an Urjuhah with some of my friends, and called for me. I went do her, and I did not know what she wanted. She took me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house, and I was panting. When I got my breath back, she took some water and wiped my face and head, and led me into the house. There were some woman of the Ansár inside the house, and they said : "With the blessings and good fortune (from Allah). (My mother) handed me over to them and they tidied me up. And suddenly I saw the Messenger of Allah in the morning. And she handed me over to him and I was at that time, nine years old." (Sahih)
Ibn Majah explicitly calls Aisha a minor and uses her as an example of handing over a minor for consummation/cohabitation.
That is legalin Islam. Fiqh even uses separate terminology if intercourse is consentless.
C. Baugh “Minor Marriage in Early Islamic Law” p 10, footnote 45.
"45 Almost invariably, as jurists consider the legal parameters of sex with prepubescents, (“at what point is the minor female able to tolerate the sexual act upon her”/matā tuṣliḥ lilwaṭʾ) the word used when describing sexual relations with a prepubescent female is waṭʾ. This is a word that I have chosen to translate as “to perform the sexual act upon her.” This translation, although unwieldy, seems to convey the lack of mutuality in the sexual act that this word suggests (unlike, for example, the word jimāʿ ). It is worth noting that the semantic range of the word includes “to tread/step on;” indeed this is given as the primary meaning of the word. See Ibn Manẓūr, Lisān al-‘Arab (Beirut: Dār Ṣādir, 1955), 2:195-197"
This contempoary fatwa on amjaonline uses "made to have sex" if the girls is too young for consent,.

Scholars like Imam Malik, Imam al-Shafi`i and Abu Hanifah have clearly stated that no woman is to be made to have sex unless she can endure it, and women differ in this according to their natural range of differences; it is not determined by a specific age. Once a girl has reached maturity, as we have mentioned, she may continue in this marriage or reject it.”
Shows consummation can precede Option of Puberty and involve a minor. Thus uses "made to have sex"

IIRC, he had a dream about her which told him he simply _must_ marry her… something which happened to Muhammad a lot. Even later in life, Aisha observed “your lord hastens to fulfil your desires,” noting that everything Muhammad wanted, God gave him a revelation telling him it was a-ok.

65 Say, “No one in the heavens or on earth knows the future except Allah; and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.”
66 In fact, their knowledge of the Hereafter is confused. In fact, they are in doubt about it. In fact, they are blind to it.
67 Those who disbelieve say, “When we have become dust, and our ancestors, shall we be brought out?
68 We were promised that before, we and our ancestors-these are nothing but legends of the ancients.”
69 Say, travel through the earth, and observe the fate of the guilty.”

73 Your Lord is gracious towards humanity, but most of them are not thankful.

77 And it is guidance and mercy for the believers.
78 Your Lord will judge between them by His wisdom. He is the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
79 So rely on Allah. You are upon the clear truth.
80 You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call if they turn their backs and flee.
81 Nor can you guide the blind out of their straying. You can make no one listen, except those who believe in Our verses; for they are Muslims.
82 And when the Word has fallen on them, We will bring out for them from the earth a creature which will say to them that the people are uncertain of Our revelations.
83 On the Day when We gather from every community a group of those who rejected Our revelations; and they will be restrained.
84 Until, when they arrive, He will say, “Did you reject My revelations without comprehending them? Or what is it you were doing?”
85 The Word will come down upon them for their wrongdoing, and they will not speak.
86 Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest therein, and the day for visibility? Surely in that are signs for people who believe.
87 On the Day when the Trumpet is blown, everyone in the heavens and the earth will be horrified, except whomever Allah wills; and everyone will come before Him in humility.
88 And you see the mountains, and imagine them fixed, yet they pass, as the passing of the clouds-the making of Allah, who has perfected everything. He is fully Informed of what you do.
89 Whoever brings a virtue will receive better than it-and they will be safe from the horrors of that Day.
90 But whoever brings evil-their faces will be tumbled into the Fire. Will you be rewarded except for what you used to do?
91 “I was commanded to worship the Lord of this town, who has sanctified it, and to Whom everything belongs; and I was commanded to be of those who submit.
92 And to recite the Quran.” Whoever is guided-is guided to his own advantage. And whoever goes astray, then say, “I am one of the warners.”
93 And say, “Praise belongs to Allah; He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. Your Lord is not heedless of what you do.”
85 Whoever seeks other than Islam as a religion, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.
86 How will Allah guide a people who disbelieved after having believed, and had witnessed that the Messenger is true, and the clear proofs had come to them? Allah does not guide the unjust people.
87 Those-their penalty is that upon them falls the curse of Allah, and of the angels, and of all mankind.
88 Remaining in it eternally, without their punishment being eased from them, and without being reprieved.
89 Except those who repent afterwards, and reform; for Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
90 As for those who disbelieve after having believed, then plunge deeper into disbelief, their repentance will not be accepted; these are the lost.
91 As for those who disbelieve and die disbelievers, even the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them, were he to offer it for ransom. These will have a painful torment, and will have no saviors.

1- In Bukhari, Kitab-ul-Manaaqib, it is narrated that Aisha said:
لم أعقل أبوي قط إلا وهما يدينان الدين ولم يمر علينا يوم إلا يأتينا فيه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم طرفي النهار بكرة وعشية فلما ابتلي المسلمون خرج أبو بكر مهاجرا قبل الحبشة
“I became conscious of the world after my parents had accepted Islam. And every day, the Prophet (pbuh) would visit us twice, earlier and later in the day. After the community went through severe trials (when Islam was publicly pronounced) Abu-Bakr decided to head to Abyssinia (to flee persecution )
When does a child reach the age of consciousness? At least at the age of 5 or 6 right? Aisha was telling her memories, remembering the Prophet’s visits to her house when she was young. The trials of the Muslims started with the public pronouncement of Islam, which happened in the 3rd year of the Prophet’s mission. This precipitated a severe wave of persecution for the Muslims. They had no choice but to flee Mecca in the 5th year of Islam. This indicates that by the 5th year, Aisha was at least 7 or 8 years old. If Hijra took place in the 13th year, then she must have been at least 15 or 16. If she got married to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) over 2 years after Hijra, then she must have been at least 18 when it happened.
2- In Bukhari, Kitab Tafseer-ul-Quran, it is narrated that Aisha (RA) said:
لقد أنزل على محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم بمكة وإني لجارية ألعب بل الساعة موعدهم والساعة أدهى وأمر
“It was revealed to the Prophet (pbuh) in Mecca, while I was a still playing as a child, the ayah [from surat al-Qamar]: “The last hour is the time when they shall truly meet their fate; and that last hour will be most calamitous, and most bitter”(Quran 54:46).
So Aisha was conscious enough to understand the verses of the Quran and remember their meaning. Surat al-Qamar was revealed in the 6th year of the Prophet’s mission as Qurtubi mentioned. Now how old Aisha must have been at the time? At least 8 or 9 I would say. If Hijra took place in the 13th year, then she was at least 15 or 16 at the time, which puts her at the age of 17 or 18 when she got married.
3- Imam Ahmad narrates the circumstances of Aisha’s marriage to the Prophet (pbuh). He says that al-Mut’am b. A’dy proposed to her for his son Jubayr. When the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) approached Abu-Bakr asking for her hand in marriage, he told him that another family already approached him about the same thing and that he had to honor that. Later, Abu Bakr met al-Mut’am and his wife. He sensed hesitate from the mother of Jubayr. She said: “أخشى أن تُصبأ عائشةُ جبيرا” or “I worry Aisha would convert my son Jubayr to Islam". Abu Bakr asked the father about it, and he said that he had a similar concern as his wife. The marriage was called off and Abu Bakr told the Prophet (pbuh) That Aisha was available.
How old must she have been in order to have this kind of influence? She must have been a charismatic, eloquent adult for Jubayr’s family to be concerned that she might convert their son to Islam. She definitely was not a child.
4- Muhammad b. Is’haaq, the great historian and biographer of Islam, and the teacher of ibn-Hishaam and Tabari, created a list of the first people that accepted Islam in his book as-Seera an-Nabawiyyah. He places Aisha at #19. Since the first 20 conversions must have happened in the first year, then Aisha was at least 5 years old to have that kind of consciousness (she was probably older). If she was at least 5 in the first year, then at Hijra she was at least 18 right? Which puts her at the age of 20 when she got married to the Prophet (pbuh) two years later.
5- Historians agree that Asmaa’, Aisha’s sister، was at least 27 during Hijra, as referenced by the great historian and biographer ibn-ul Atheer in his book Ussd-ul-Ghaba. Since Asmaa’ was at most 10 years older than her sister (as ibn Abdel Barr said in his book al-Istee’aab fy Ma’rifat il-Asshaab), that puts Aisha at the age of 17 at the time of Hijra, which makes her at least 19 at the time she married the Prophet (pbuh).

It was when she was around 9 and she (ra) was engaged at 6. What the sharia says is this. There are two requirments for marriage.
1) gone through puberty. This is an objective physical change.
2) must be psychologicaly mature. This second one is not objective its subjective and depends on psychosocial dynamics.
If you put a child under continual extream stress they will go through puberty more quickly the environment in Arabia was extremely harsh and as for the psychosocial factor the culture was rough and tough. These women are not like our women. I dont know what you imagine. For all the people arguing about Mary:
Protestant perspective (Scripture alone) ends with Mary’s age simply not being mentioned in the Bible.
Apostolic Christian perspective (Orthodox, Catholic, etc.):
The same sources that tell us that Mary was 12ish and Joseph very old also say that Joseph didn’t want to marry her (it looked weird for a pious man with children from a previous to marry a young girl randomly), he (and no one) ever had sex with Mary, and the marriage was only done so Mary would have a legal guardian and not be homeless/taken advantage of on the streets (she was an orphan raised in the temple and had to leave when she got her period because of purity laws).
What they don't consider is that the average age for a girl to get married in 1st century Jewish culture was around 16. That's when they were considered of child-bearing age. For men it could be from that same age to around their early 20s. So most likely Mary was 16 and Joseph was 19 or 20.

In Chapter 27, it is implied that female humans attain adulthood upon their first menstrual cycle, and is stated that male humans become adults upon their thirteenth birthday. No sane biologist would quibble with the former assertion, or else they would be counted as hypocrites (since they invariably use the term “adult” according to the above definition, in reference to non-human animals). However, a huge percentage of the population (mostly those without the Abrahamic religious traditions) would contest the notion that boys become men upon entering their teenage years.
The reason for the claim that boys become adults on their thirteenth birthday is simply because there is no practical method of determining the status of male adulthood, in the same way that it is for females. No decent person would suggest that boys ought to begin masturbating or fornicating on a daily basis until an ejaculation is achieved! Therefore, for HUMAN males, this age was chosen by ancient seers (most notably within the Judeo-Christian tradition, and to a lesser degree, in Islam), and it is accepted within this Holiest of All Holy Scriptures, “A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”, as being a sensible determination of (male) adulthood.
Also, it could prove extremely embarrassing for a boy to be referred to as a man, if his status as a man was determined purely by his ability to reproduce. Imagine the following scenario:
Son: “Hey, Mum, I am now a MAN!!”.
Mother: “That's wonderful, Son, but how did you discover that you have now entered puberty?”

I am certain that no (decent) mother would want to entertain such a conversation with one of her male progeny, agreed?
Therefore, to put it succinctly, technically, a boy does in fact enter puberty (and thus becomes an adult) upon his ability to produce viable spermatozoa, but because, in the case of humans, it would not be feasible to EASILY ascertain a male’s status in this regards, the aforementioned “bar mitzvah” rule is arguably the most pragmatic method of ascribing adulthood to human males. Perhaps the main argument against this rule is that thirteen year-old males are incapable of properly fulfilling the functions normally ascribed to adults, such as voting, marrying, driving a motor vehicle, etcetera. This is an obvious non-sequitur fallacy, irrelevant to the point. Furthermore, it is a poor argument, since every human has differing capabilities and capacities. Some thirteen year-old men may be extremely competent drivers, while many fifty year-old men may be dangerous while seated behind the steering wheel of a car.
Due to oppressive indoctrination by illegitimate governments over the past century or so, the majority of humans mistakenly consider an adult to be whatever arbitrary age is chosen by the legislators of their respective governing bodies (in most countries, usually the age of eighteen or twenty-one). And they dont take time to train him, but just electroshock and hit him into submission. They do not only do not really care for him, but they also just use the electric collar for fun sometimes. They sit in their backyard, pushing the button for no reason, while the dog cries terribly. Sadly, no one can do something against this, as they are threatening the whole neighborhood to not do anything against them.
