I learned about this recently and couldn’t help but wonder why our prophet Muhammad peace be upon him married such a young girl. Naturally my mind went, there had to be a reason behind it. The answer that he was ordered by Allah because she would continue our Umah made sense. If he had waited 5-10 more years it wouldn’t have been possible because he died at the age of 60 may Allah have mercy on him.

Proof 2: Why would Khawla suggest a 6 year old mother for 6 year old children?
When Khadijah (ra) who was the Prophet’s ﷺ first wife, passed away, a woman named Khawlah came to the Prophet ﷺ and suggested that he should get married. At the time the Prophet ﷺ had young daughters around the age of 6-9 years. Now Khawlah suggested that the Prophet should get a second wife in order that his second wife would take care of his young daughters. When he asked her who he had in mind. She suggested Sauda and Aisha. Now does it make any sense to get a 6 year old child bride to “take care of children”? One would have to be very simple-minded to think that Khawla would ask the Prophet ﷺ to marry a 6 year old child to take care of other 6-9 year olds.

Deepseek: in the pre-Islamic Arabian society, particularly among the Quraysh tribe (the tribe of the Prophet Muhammad), it was indeed a custom to start counting a girl's age from the onset of puberty rather than from her birth. This practice was rooted in the cultural and social norms of the time, where puberty marked a significant transition in a person's life, especially for girls, as it signified their readiness for marriage and adulthood.
This custom reflects the societal values and priorities of that era, where adulthood and social roles were closely tied to physical maturity rather than chronological age. With the advent of Islam, many such customs were either modified or replaced with new guidelines that emphasized fairness, equality, and the protection of individual rights, including those of women and children.

People lost the true meanings of marriage. There was so much more depth behind marriage in that era in that part of the world. Back then people married for charity, connections with a important family, to protect, to bring unity between groups of people. Or even out of guilt for taking her husband's life because he belonged to the enemy and battles were inevitable.
There are so many more reasons, but these were just to name a few.
In the end, I understand that people question this topic and it's a tough pill to swallow in the modern age. But once you become Muslim and understand the pure intentions we should strive to have, by following in the footsteps of prophet Muhammad (PBUH), you stop questioning it. Because it is what Allah has decided and I believe our prophet (PBUH) had the purest intentions with her.

So genetic DNA that's found everything from humans to a banana is just spontaneous? To deny The Creator is to deny true justice, whether it's of punishment or reward. If you look at the hadiths and the birth dates of her and her sister Asma who is 10 years older than Aisha (Ra), as well as the statement of Aisha (Ra) memories of her parents who have been Muslim since puberty) you can see That Aisha was around 18-19 years old the year she married the Prophet (saw).

When he went to pray with his adopted son Zayd in a town outside of Mecca, children threw stones at them, if you think about it, they were young people who were smart enough to first stick the stones with thorns and they heat up in the sun because they know how painful the hit would be and yet these people are addressed as "children", so we know that children at that time had nothing to do with maturity or anything like that, despite their age they were children. According to the Quran, no women are allowed to perform the Nikah, the Prophet was the Quran and an absolute example of everything that would be much more logical than the fact that the Prophet married a 9-year-old child, also Aisha (Ra) mentioned that she don't remember the time of her period could see that her parents were never anything other than Muslims, i.e. they became Muslims when she was already 11-13 years old

@Fjørd_3 In the hadiths there is a contradiction when it comes to Aisha's Ra age, it is said that Asma (in the hadiths) was about 10 years older than her due to the time of flight from Mecca to Medina, i.e. h. she was 27 years old, which makes Aisha about 17 years old. The Quran does not mention that it is permissible to betroth children. It only mentions that women belong to men. Maybe it was because of the culture that child marriage was allowed, but the Koran also mentions that women must be old enough to decide for themselves whether they want to marry someone or not. In the case of Aisha, it was Allah's command for the Prophet s.a.w. to marry her, but we do not know whether this command (to marry a child) is also permissible for other people

Bs. Her age cannot be 18 or 19. Her father divorced his first wife for not being a muslim, and took a muslim wife from which aisha was born. Muhammad received his first revelation in 610 ad, that means abu bakr became a muslim and divorced his wife after 610 ad, and that means aisha had to be born between 610 ad and migration to madina (622 ad). Their marriage was consummated in 623-624. Even if you take the date of 610 as aishas birth date she cannot be older than 13. Aishas accepted birth date is 614, considering the time that would have passed between abu bakr becomeing a muslim, divorcing his pagan wife, finding a new muslim wife , impregnating his new wife, and the 9months of pregnancy, 614 ad seems like a very sound date which makes aishas age 9-10 during consummation. And we also know mohammed had to wait for 3 years before the consummation, why do you think he had to wait for 3 years? Because her little 6 years old body would not be able to withstand having sex with an adult man so its very likely her parents told mohammed to wait until she is at least less fragile...

@@_FishOfFury_ No one worship prophet Muhammad s.a.w. Also, anyone can ask why Muhammad can marry 9 and Muslims or a men can only 4 in Islam?
Answer: It’s God will and each marriage he did was because of some reason for tribal reasons and different and the reason for Ayesha r.a was prophet needed a preacher after him.
Most of the prophets Hadis are even narrated by Ayesha and Infact Ayesha loved him.
Also Ayesha r.a mentions this himself that she reached her age of puberty and was physically and mentally ready for the marriage.
And prophet s.a.w like you think of an older person, he wasn’t like that. He was like an Angel in human form and a prophet of God and she believed in him as God prophet and that’s the reason she wanted to marry him and loved him s.a.w.
So, each marriage of prophet was due to a purpose and Ayesha never had problem with marriage cause prophet even said in his time that to all his wife’s that if anyone wants, prophet can free them. But none of them said they wanted to leave,
You see, these are miracles of God that he could have so many wife’s and that’s proof is that none of prophet predictions are proven wrong and the prophecies and claims he made on future which were told to him by Angel Jibrel and which were told to Angel by Allah/God.
You can even search this. It’s one of prophet miracles that exists today.
Infact if you don’t agree, that prophet was like an angel in human form, even though it was God miracle he had. People of Arab said that he s.a.w was more whiter than milk..
Proof of these is his current miracle Quran which have no contradiction but a weak try by non Muslims by changing the interpretation and can find their answer online in 3 minutes but still come and say it like 🤡

Allah knows best and has complete Sovereignty. He will make our differences known to us on the Day of Judgment and every believer should never question his Will.

She was infertile and could never have children likely because Muhammad damaged her internally. Children at 9 years old can be physically damaged by penetration since they’re not developed enough. It’s important to recognize that norms, such as the age of marriage, have differed across cultures and historical periods. Judging the past by today’s standards risks falling into anachronism, as values change over time and across societies. Aisha (r.a.) was a highly respected figure in Islam, both as the mother of all Muslims and as a prominent scholar who narrated numerous hadiths. Baseless accusations cannot undermine her authority or influence in Islamic history. Those who fabricated immoral stories about prophets in the Bible are the same type of people who now accuse the Prophet Muhammad (saw). So if we take the hadith of Aisha being 9 years of age in Medina when she moved in with the Prophet ﷺ , then she wasnt even born when she was engaged to Jubayr bin Muta’am. Thats hilarious.

other than this fact- all other behavior of our prophet tells us that he wasn't of bad character. He literally stood up for women's rights. He allowed them free will to marry or reject. He stopped the practice of burying girl infants during that time. He encouraged taking care of windowed women by marrying them to set an example for the men of our ummah. He was said to be kind-hearted and morally good person otherwise there won't be so many muslims tolerating him and accepting Islam at that time. The only time he married a virgin out of all his other marriages was when he got married to Ayesha. I believe this is something incomprehensible for us just like many other stuff in this world. Allah is the Most Wise and Just. If there was any wrong in this marriage between our prophet and ummi Ayesha then Allah knows best.

Proof 4: Aisha (ra) had already come of age when her parents became Muslim.
    Narrated `Aisha:
(the wife of the Prophet) I had seen my parents following Islam since I attained the age of puberty. Not a day passed but the Prophet (ﷺ) visited us, both in the mornings and evenings. My father Abu Bakr thought of building a mosque in the courtyard of his house and he did so. He used to pray and recite the Qur'an in it. The pagan women and their children used to stand by him and look at him with surprise. Abu Bakr was a Softhearted person and could not help weeping while reciting the Qur'an. The chiefs of the Quraish pagans became afraid of that (i.e. that their children and women might be affected by the recitation of Qur'an).
This hadith is around the time of the first migration to Abyssinia. And Aisha (ra) clearly states that she had reached puberty when her parents had become Muslim. Her parents became Muslim very early, around the time the Prophet proclaimed his prophethood. So she was born before the start of revelation. And she was atleast 12 when Sayyidina Abu Bakr (ra) thought of migrating to Abyssinia. That makes her 19-20 when she consummated her marriage with the Prophet ﷺ in Medina.

Here read this about Sahih Bukhari
      you find this in wikipedia
Sources differ on the exact number of hadiths in Sahih al-Bukhari, with definitions of hadith varying from a prophetic tradition or sunnah, or a narration of that tradition. Experts have estimated the number of full-isnad narrations in the Sahih at 7,563, with the number reducing to around 2,600 without consideration to repetitions or different versions of the same hadith. Bukhari chose these narrations from a collection of 600,000 narrations he had collected over 16 years.
As you see he collected 600000 hadith and only chose 1,8% of them because he himself was a JEW trying to mock prophet Muhammad(PBU)
That is why he throw away the real hadiths and placed his own bull crap in the book!
Just like PAUL destroyed Christianity by falsely claiming to have met Jesus and he went out preaching his own version of the bible claiming Jesus said those words!
People like Bukhari could not touch the Quran so they tried destroying Islam by changing hadiths that would change the Sunnash of the prophet!

Islam is supposed to be the right way, the teachings till the end of times, so the argument that it was common back then is nonsensical, if something that is wrong is common it is still wrong.
The argument that many mondern nations have a lower age of consent is also nonsensical: these nations never claimed to be prophets or to hold the true religion, and yes if you're a 50 year old mexican and marry a 14 year old even if it's legal you're still a disgusting pedophile.

Hello! Ill make it as short as possible and try to help you clear your doubt more, You are stuck in a fallacy of presentism. The presentism fallacy is the idea that history should be interpreted from the perspective of the present day. Forget 7th century Arabia, in 19th century Britain the official age of consent was just 12 and this true for all the medieval world too.
Lets talk about Hazrat Aisha (r.a.) and why God who has infinite wisdom and power commanded prophet Muhammad saw to marry aisha (r.a.)-
She has narrated over 2000 authentic hadeeths of the prophet regarding his personal life, making her the most reliable source of information when it comes to prophet's personal life. She has also narrated important hadeeths regarding inheritance, pilgrimage and eschatology making her commentaries an important source of information for the different islamic schools of thought (hanafi, hanbali, shafi, maliki) when it came to forming islamic jurispudence and personal law. She narrated all of the important hadeeths about women's personal life like menstruation, intimacy etc. this is why she is also known as the "mother" of the ummah, educating the females in the ummah about topics which were otherwise taken as a taboo among the orthodox society back then, revolutionizing women empowerment in the early islamic arabia.
Now lets come to the Holy Quran our holy book. Hazrat aisha (ra) learned the entire quran at a very young age and had the most knowledge of Quran among all the sahabas, because she was married to prophet muhammad (saw) and learned all the things directly from him. She was one of the only person who had the privilege to be mentored by prophet muhammad (saw) directly! During the compilation and standardization of Quran she played a very significant role, Her opinion was taken with utmost seriousness when it came to Quran, Shaping the Quran Mushaf that billions of muslims have on their shelves and read it daily!
Now lets come to islamic caliphate after prophet muhammad (saw) passing. Because Hazrat Aisha r.a. was the most loving wife of prophet muhammad (saw), she had a very crucial role in forming the caliphate, she played the role of a consultant in political matters till the caliphate of Uthman r.a. which at 7th century arabia was not that common for a woman to have such a high political status. During the first civil war of muslims, which was a cannon event and had a major affect on the muslim world for centuries to come, she played the most important role of revolting against hazrat ali r.a., which changed the fate of the caliphate forever. These are just a few instances which shows the significance of hazrat aisha r.a. in the islamic world, if you want to learn more you can do research on her life and get to know that she was not any ordinary woman in arabia.
And i am putting emphasis on this sentence, NONE OF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE IF SHE NEVER MARRIED PROPHET MUHAMMAD (S.A.W). Never question the plan of Allah swt because he knows what we dont.

To apply the then norm of marrying six year olds to men to modern times, it really depends on the social situation of the girl's family and the character of the groom.

I won't claim I'm knowledgeable about this topic, but these questions regarding Aisha R.A. have emerged in recent generations. That doesn't mean everyone before had been silenced or was too foolish to consider it. It means society's standards changed. That's normal.
The reasons for marriage back then were not black and white (eg: 'love marriages' on one side and 'forced marriages' on the other). The Prophet's marriage wasn't perceived as immoral; it had valid reasons behind it. If it were immoral, his enemies would definitely capitalise on it as an opportunity to defame him.
Hopefully, this example will help: today, it is perfectly legal for an 18 y/o girl to marry a 30+ y/o man (with consent from both sides) in many places. However, if the legal age of adulthood/marriage increases to 20 in the future, is it logical or fair for the people of the future to judge that man as a p*dophile?
My point is, of course we'll struggle to understand and sympathise with cultures more than 1400 years ago. However, that is no fair reason to defame them, as some are currently doing with Islam.

Prophet muhammed married her after the immigration by few months and she was born before the immigration by nineteen years so she is clearly more than nineteen years !
The prophet only had children with khadijah his first wife and when he chose to marry aisha who is 19 or older, because she was born before the immigration to madinah by nineteen years , he wanted a mature woman to take care of his children from khadijah so why would he also would marry a child like how a child will take care of his children !!!

This was a Sahih Hadith that later became Da’if. Simple counting using the Islamic calendar debunks Aisha was 6 at marriage anyway. Don’t try and justify that our Prophet (SAW) married a literal child.

I don't think most people truly understand. To the non-Muslims specefically, you guys love bringing up the argument that "sl*very was a norm, does that make it right?". This is like comparing an apple and an orange. The matter is not that if it were morally right or not. The matter is of MATURITY. A young tween boy nowadays is out playing soccer with his friends and messing around. Back then, boys at this age would accompany their fathers and uncles in difficult trips, and the sons or nephews of more important figures would help them in tasks during war, such as collecting arrows or being present at treaties and signings. A young 12 year old girl in today's age is playing with her friends, asking her parents for makeup that she admired from older girls, and the same girl back then would already know how to cook, clean, speak well, and have a much, much higher level of maturity. Also, Hazrat Aisha narrated hundreds and hundreds of Ahadith and was known to be a very educated and scholarly person. Do you really think there would be no record in the strictly accurate Islamic history, Ahadith or narration where Hazrat Aisha (R.A) would have said she had a problem with her marriage with the Prophet (P.B.U.H)? Of course she would have spoke about it if there was such an issue! Also, the opr*ssors called the Prophet all sorts of nasty things, but they never, not even once, talked about his marriage with Hazrat Aisha!! Why is it such a problem to you then?

    • @ayushonkar850
      @ayushonkar850 หลายเดือนก่อน

@LastBeserkerSo Aisha’s father Abu Bakr would’ve *buried her alive* if a man old enough to be her grandfather didn’t marry her? How come Khadijah wasn’t buried alive before Islam even existed? 🤔 She was unmarried til she was 40.
Also, Muhammad consummated his marriage with Aisha when she was 9. Sahih Bukhari (the most AUTHENTIC hadith) clearly states this. He probably damaged her physically since she was infertile for the rest of her life and never had any kids. She also was forbidden to remarry after Muhammad passed when she was 18, and remained childless and single for her entire adult life.

The main reason why Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) married Ayesha Radiyallahu Tayala Anha at a young age was to convey the importance of marriage to the entire Ummah. Many are illegitimately mothered at a young age through illicit and immoral relationships. Today, everywhere in the developed world, many become mothers at a young age through immoral relationships and marry later after giving birth. Which is not acceptable in our Islamic religion. In Islam, there is a rule of legally marrying and having children. Islam does not promote obscenity.

@@joshuaenodien3853 Historians haven’t found or known a lot about the life of the married women of Jesus’ followers, people he liked,… in the Bible because it wasn’t really important. Especially the Old Testament, because sadly a lot of stories revolved around men. Although here are some proves you can read about that Jesus was fine with younger people getting married. -
“[h]istorians are pretty sure that Mary had just entered puberty when Jesus was conceived. As a peasant in Nazareth she almost certainly would have been married off around the time [of] puberty. […] In short, there is every reason to believe that the Virgin Mary-the mother of one of the world’s major religions-was a young mother indeed.”
-“…was generally defined as occurring between twelve and fourteen, although sometimes girls were married at an earlier age.”[14]
-Finally, they also state unequivocally that Christians followed this cultural standard. Concerning the age at which girls typically married, they write that (emphasis mine):Christianity was the age at which girls were married. Throughout the ancient Mediterranean world, the common age of marriage for females was puberty. There simply is no evidence that this changed.
“Mark calls her his ‘little daughter’: though both he and Luke say, she was about ‘twelve’ years of age, and that with strict propriety, according to the Jewish canons, which…say; that ‘a daughter, from the day of her birth until she is twelve years complete, is called ‘a little one’ and when she is twelve years of age, and one day and upwards, she is called ‘a young woman’.”[16]
-Thus, the girl would have been called a “child” if she was up to exactly 12 years, but if she had been even one day older than 12, she was no longer a “child” but a “young woman”. This was the custom of the time. Moreover, since her age was only approximately twelve, it is possible that she was actually less than twelve, i.e., somewhere between eleven and twelve, and it does not mean that Jesus would have regarded all 12-year-olds as “children”. Thus, the incident with the resurrected girl does not prove that Jesus was against the institution that, in modern times, would be called “child marriage”.
