I recently bought the MSI G274QPF at Costco for 220 bucks which is an insane steal for a gaming monitor! 1440p resolution, 170hz refresh rate, Wide Color Gamete, Rapid IPS panel, 27 inch which is the sweet spot screen size for my desk setup and has more connection ports ! And was very satisfied as my early Christmas present!
My panel that I've recieved is: Innolux M270KCJ-K7E C4 For anyone that's kinda skeptical of buying this monitor, no need to (I was at first) Yes, they changed it to the Innolux panel instead of keeping the LG one but this still looks brilliant either way. It receives a 4k signal from Xbox/Ps5 which downscales to 2k but it looks amazing with the right settings adjusted. Speakers are also not that bad imo. If you're worried about the brightness being too low - it looks bright and fine for me. No issues. I can't really vouch if it's good on PC or not as I don't have one (only a console) but it is fantastic for the Xbox Series X. For £220, I'd say it's a bargain for the quality of this monitor tbh. Of course everyone's experience maybe different, it could possibly have it's problems with the monitor or whatso but luckily I've experienced nothing so far. It's kinda a shame there's no remote control tho. Hope this helps anyone reading this ✌️
I think any display with a 120HZ or more is good for gaming. I can only imagine playing Asphalt 8: Airborne and Asphalt 9: Legends, Formula 1 Mobile Racing, Need for Speed: No Limits, Moto GP 19, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, Sniper X with Jason Statham, Call of Duty, Samurai Jack, Mortal Kombat etc. The list goes on!
The Eve spectrum is an ideal dual setup (gaming/productivity) monitor. Some established brand should just follow their lead to create a gaming capable, color accurate, and minimalist display that will actually ship.
Not every gaming PC is used for productivity when we are not gaming. That is certainly true of my setup. I have a MacBook that I use for productivity so the only thing I ever use the PC for is gaming. If the Mac was as competent at gaming as the PC, I wouldn't own the PC.
@@TinyBearTim I have the 14" Pro with M1 pro. Almost all of the games I play are not compatible with Mac OS so I'm stuck with the PC. A reasonably priced 1440P monitor like the one in this video is pretty much perfect for use cases like mine. I have a powerful PC since I figured "go big or go home" as long as I had to buy one to enjoy my favorite games. I only use it for gaming so the brightness and color accuracy are less important than the price, resolution, and refresh rate.
@@TinyBearTim macOS doesn't support major triple A games right now. RE8 is coming so maybe this will be changing in the next year or two. macOS can play games like Starcraft II and simple games but nothing like GTA, COD, Battlefield, etc.

Would've been nice if you had the monitor manufactured in 2022 instead of August 2021 as the older models use LG panel, whereas the newer ones had switched to the Innolux version...
My new monitor for Xbox series x. Games look amazing on 2k 120FPS. And you can play games like flight simulator even better. Because on 4K the series x has its problems
I bought it to play PS5 on it, in 2K 120Hz, with HDR & VRR activated. Maybe it arrives tomorrow if I have luck, or I have to wait until tuesday. I will give feedback, when I use it. My old ASUS Monitor with 1080p 60Hz had built in Speakers, but they had no bass, and I don't want to use my old Logitech Speakers on my PC (that was connected via DVI) anymore and if I use a Headset too much, my head is aching, maybe because I have AD(H)D

This monitor is beast for that price for all ps5 & xb sx gamers 2k with hdr looks awesome in 10bit ❤with 120hz … Its 95% dci p3 much much better than low budget 99% srgb montiors
@@fireflashofficial the contrast ratio on LG monitos isn't so great, you migh see the black a little more like gray, otherwise it has great response time. I recently order the BenQ so lets see if it was wothy.

Best budget monitor I just bought is the Spectre 27inch 4K monitor with 70hz. It’s only $199 on Amazon and the quality is great! Just have to adjust the settings and it looks great on my PS5 and Xbox series s.

I have the 32” version of this but I miss being able to have a single cord for charging and display. Is there a minimalist workaround for desktop charging when single plug charging isn’t an option anymore ? Or just use the power brick?
I'm debating between this ex2710q and the asus proart 278qv. The asus has a bit better color accuracy and maybe better brightness, and a usb hub with 4 usb 3.0 ports, but you need to sacrifice 1 usb 3.0 port in your computer. The benQ ex2710q has the better speakers and better refresh rate, the refresh rate I can live without, but the speakers are a huge bonus, since I like to work without headphones every now and then. I want the best option for video editing, don't mind about gaming but don't need the super duper color accuracy from the asus proart, I don't do much color grading. From the benq I'm only concerned about the brightness issue. any thoughts?
Damn I placed an order for this cause 4k monitors are way too expensive. So reviews on this and thought let me try it out 1440P with 160 HZ being on a PS5 and I’ve had this old monitor with 60hz for years. It is possible to stream Steam games natively on some Macs like the M1 Studio (I have the base model Max so I can vouch for that) but the selection is limited. However, gameplay is very good on the supported titles. I agree that Parallels gaming via Windows doesn't work well at all.
Do NOT purchase this monitor!! I've had it for 1 month (Innolux panel), and the monitor just randomly exploded. I am taking legal actions towards BenQ... Luckily no injuries happened but this is simply unacceptable. I have had multiple monitors over the years without no problems whatsoever but this model of Benq (EX2710Q) happen to be poorly manufactured. I am disgusted by this.
@@benjiskitts yes they changed the panel but its not worser or better i dont know why some poeple go down these pc rabbit holes and try to make everything perfect this monitor looks great for gaming and entertainment and it also has a srgb mode which is near perfect and most other monitors dont even come close to the accuracy of this monitors srgb mode so if ur so stuck up on colour accuracy just use srgm mode and if u dont care like me just use custom or any other mode for that matter. monitor looks great in games and media thats the most important thing

HDMI port will give you max 144Hz. Use the display port to get 165Hz. Hope this solves your issue!

At 1440 p no scaling macOS is awesome. Usable and good space. But you don’t get sweet retina text.
