I learned recently that this monitor outputs a 10 bit color depth but only at 120hz. I can really see the difference though, having used 8 bit for the passed year not knowing this.
Thanks for the review. Very thorough, no nonsense. Picked a used one up to pair with my Xbox series s. I will send you the bill if it is a turd.
Well I'm not a console gamer but it should be a good pairing. Glad you liked the video
May I ask how well the monitor works with the series s? Because I would also like to purchase one for my series s
@Satoru_Gojo5 I have been extremely pleased with this monitor paired with the series S. And I bought mine used!
Really loving your detailed explanations. I'm deciding on a monitor for casual gaming and media consuming. I don't play competitive games and I do not plan to. I mostly play PS5 titles and Cyberpunk/Assassin's creed type games also I watch a lot of movies and tv shows. New to buying monitors, can you suggest me the settings for the best media consumption and casual gaming? I have a nvidia 1650 in my laptop that I will connect this to. Also, if you have any other recommendations please let me know. My friend bought the acer vg271u for the same use case.
Can't comment about PlayStation - might not work at 1440p, don't know what the latest is with Sony supporting said resolution.
Your laptop is also going to be a problem with the port version it has - it might be say HDMI 1.4 thus meaning you can't get higher frames at certain resolutions.

@Osama.奥萨马 Yes I think the EX2710Q is worth it especially right now. It is on sale! The EX2710R is less expensive but it is a VA panel. Maybe you will not be affected by ghosting or tearing but if you play FPS games, I truly believe that IPS panel are better.
The review I needed, just when I needed it.
@@TotallydubbedHD How does this monitor compare to the 1440p Odyssey G7 from a couple of years ago?
@@UnboxerofWorlds G7 is an equally impressive monitor, but runs a VA panel and is more expensive. If you had the budget and wanted a curved VA 240hz, then get the G7. If you want IPS, then there's the Alienware, but if you don't have the budget for that nor need 240hz, then this would be my choice. See the description too :)

Glad you liked the review! I don't have a console but as you'll be limited to 120hz, either will be a good pick
Thank you. I just bought two of these from scan. Bought late evening arrived next day afternoon on a weekend without paying for weekend delivery lol. It looks great! So much better than my old aoc AG241QG with a horrible TN panel and terrible antiglare coating that made everything grainy.
Im running it in 120hz 10 bit colour as it is smooth enough for me and i do a lot of creative work. So it valances gaming and professional work. Keeping a custom colour preset.
My only question is:
Is there a fast easy way to switch between displayHDR and custom SDR without needing to go to windows settings and toggle it all the time?
Glad you liked the review.
As for the question: as far as I'm aware, no you won't be able to - it's still a manual process at least on Windows 10
Great video. Can we turn the HDRi off so that we are left with only HDR? I'm not too keen on the sensor adjusting things automatically.
Also, is there a setting for turning HDR on in game menus? Or is HDR a universal setting in the monitor? Thanks.
Good questions:
-HDR can be used outside of HDRi (it'll be DisplayHDR, as suggested in the video)
-HDR has its own setting; it's universal per se
Hi! I have the EX2710Q for my X Series X and PS5, but the colours seem to be vibrant. Can you tell me the best settings to use on the monitor, please?
My panel that I've recieved is:
Innolux M270KCJ-K7E C4
For anyone that's kinda skeptical of buying this monitor, no need to (I was at first)
Yes, they changed it to the Innolux panel instead of keeping the LG one but this still looks brilliant either way. It receives a 4k signal from Xbox/Ps5 which downscales to 2k but it looks amazing with the right settings adjusted. Speakers are also not that bad imo.
If you're worried about the brightness being too low - it looks bright and fine for me. No issues.
I can't really vouch if it's good on PC or not as I don't have one (only a console) but it is fantastic for the Xbox Series X.
For £220, I'd say it's a bargain for the quality of this monitor tbh. Of course everyone's experience maybe different, it could possibly have it's problems with the monitor or whatso but luckily I've experienced nothing so far. It's kinda a shame there's no remote control tho.
Hope this helps anyone reading this ✌️
Thanks for sharing! That's pretty bad of BenQ to switch the panel without telling anyone, I appreciate you mentioning it.
I watched both your EX2710Q and EX2780Q videos and you said the color is better in this one, in the verdict. I'm asking because on your EX2780Q video at 7:03, both Gamut coverage and Gamut volume are higher than in this video, even after tuning, at 6:34 and I'm a bit confused. I don't know much about calculating color accuracy or what DE 76 means but does this monitor (EX2710Q) have the better color accuracy overall? Thanks for both videos, they are really helpful 😀
Thank you, glad you liked both videos! Lower Delta E is better (closer to 0). Of course, that's only really relevant if you're going to do photo editing or video grading - both look great for the average user/gamer. Hope that makes sense?

This is a really good monitor if you get the one with the panel produced by LG. They switched the panel made by innolux midway through production and kept everything else the same. This newer panel has some real issues with color, some colors never really look correct despite calibrations and ICC profile settings. Seems like the LG panel gets brighter as well.
