If anyone is wondering, yes going from 1080p to 1440p makes a huge difference in image quality. 1440p is really clear and it cleans up the image. You can't ever go back to 1080p.

I own 2x 1440p monitors, currently using a 4k monitor, and i am gaming in 1728x1080 lol.. Depends on the game you are playing, if you are soloing, yes go for high res, if you are playing competitive FPS, then go for higher res if you want to get rekt

@@ahmedelbashir8789 Yeah but OLED isn't suitable for work/editing either. I'd only recommend them to people playing singleplayer and for media consumption.
I swear, I built a new pc with a 4080super and 1440p benq ex270qm monitor to game on the best settings for years to come. I do have an oled 65" 4k sony A9G for 4k 120hz gaming if I really wanted, but I hardly switch over.

I think this is another monitor worth checking out in the midrange. Rtings has a great technical review of it as well for anyone curious.
If I was looking for a 1440p monitor under $300, I'd really have my eyes on the AOC miniled. That 1000 not peak HDR brightness combined with the local dimming zones just make it a different experience from other monitors in that price point. If you are in a region that has these monitors more expensive than yeah, that's unfortunate. So I personally don't see any reason to go for the Dell unless it's a fair amount cheaper and you can't afford the AOC or if your country has higher prices for tech like in Europe.
Agree, got one in the UK for ~£200 about 2 months ago and its fantastic, also considered the LG Ultragear 27GR75Q at same pricepoint but Dell seemed to have better reviews.

I got the Gigabyte M27Q V2 monitor for a couple of months now and I love it! Amazing colors, which is super important to me, and with working mostly from home I love the KVM feature
The only 1440p monitors I'll buy are 21:9 units. I've never owned a 32:9, but my brief experience using one was not particularly good. I have a Dell 3400x1440 IPS monitor at 60Hz driven by a 6750XT or a 2070 Super for non-gaming tasks and an Alienware 120Hz driven by a 6800XT for no-RT gaming. I've had both for at least five years, and I'm still in no need of an upgrade.
I'm still rocking my MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD gaming monitor from 2022. I paid $400 for it at the time but it's still going strong and satisfies all my 1440p gaming needs.
Hp Omen 27QS Open box for $229 or the LG GR83Q for $346?? Which one is the best bang for my buck for best all around quality and performance for FPS 1440 p gaming and also wanting to play more story games . I need to know fast please!
Currently the MSI G274QPX is the same price as the HP OMEN 27QS. I was wondering why you would specifically recommend that one over the omen, as well as how you ordered the other 2 monitors above those (the LG and the gigabyte). Thank you for any info.
I upgraded from a 1080p 144hz monitor to the msi 34inch oled with a 4070ti super. First thing I did was play dead space remake, Resident evil 2 and 4 remake all on ultra settings. That monitor is the best gaming purchase of my life. Do I even want to know what 4k is like? 😬
Thanks for the Info......very informative......Any thoughts on the Samsung Odyssey G95C 49 Dual for video editing?......Its going for $799 on Amazon and is more in my budget.....and should i get an amazon warranty on this monitor? Thank you ahead of time.
Awesome video, i cant decide if i want a 27" or 32" monitor for my ps5 pro. The oled look so awesome but little pricey but im willing to spend about 800 for a monitor so which monitor would you choose if your budget was 800
I bought a Lenovo Legion R27q-30 about 2 months ago for 249 euro (That is including VAT). In combination with my ASRock Radeon 6750 XT it is a really good monitor. I am very happy with it.
Great video as always. Please do a 4k Monitor one! I know the new Display Port is coming soon but would love to see your latest and greatest recommendations.
Got the AW2725DF when it came out a couple months ago. Jason was not lying in the slightest.. the thing blows my socks off every time I boot a game up still to this day since I bought it. Ghosts of Tsushima on PC is something really special to witness on this monitor, so is Helldivers 2
Went with the Alienware 2725df and it's a fantastic monitor. Which preset would you reccomended is best for gaming? Creator HDR 1000 seems to be the one I see a lot of people use on these videos would you agree?
They are just price too high to compete with my current recommendations. If they come down in price we'll add them to our links but at the moment just not worth the price jump from out picks.
This video was literally uploaded at *THE* perfect time! I've been looking for a new (27"/1440p/240HZ/preferably curved but not necessary) monitor for quite a while now but I'm not sure if the two I found are the best in my budget range. (I'm a price to performance kinda guy) First pick would be the MSI G274QPX, second LG 27GR83Q. My max. budget is 400€. They're both just a bit under 400€. I mostly play (competitive) FPS shooters. I appreciate some opinions/recommendations for this monitor category👍(since the monitor is usually the longest lasting equipment in a PC setup, newbies like me don't want to make a "wrong" purchase😁)
My old 32" Samsung Odyssey G7-QHD 240Hz 1440P monitor is still rated @7.7 on Rtings for PC gaming , and it seems to work well enough with my old i9-10990k and my old EVGA RTX 2080 Ti XC Ultra so I'm not really in a hurry to upgrade but I'm addicted to these PC Builder videos anyway. Too bad the monitors recommended around that size are ultrawides. According to Rtings, the best gaming monitor is the $1200 32" 4K 240Hz Dell Alienware AW3225QF but I suppose anyone with deep pockets would also have the fastest CPU and GPU to go along with it.
I have a medical condition causing me to play from a medical bed across the room, probably for the foreseeable future. I would like to get something like a 50-55" flatscreen type monitor with preferably 144hz+...do you have a recommendation for that kind of thing? I greatly appreciate anyone who answers this question. Next tax return I have the intention to build an updated PC, focusing on maximizing 1440p gaming. Was thinking 4080 super, 7800x3d, 32g of DDR5(6000hz), 2TB N.VMe...something like that. But I don't want to have that power and be bottle necked by a crappy output device.
there are no 50-55" gaming monitors. the biggest is 32" for non-ultrawide and 49" for ultrawide with the height of 27-32". only the side is bigger. for 50-55" size, you have to buy a TV.
I wish there were more smaller 1440p gaming monitors. 27 inches is a bit too large for my desk but I still would like to game at 1440p. A 23.8 inch QHD gaming monitor would be the best of both worlds for me.
What about the Alienware 1440p 240hz AW2723DF? Is it as good as these other 1440p 240hz ones or is the m27q-x and the LG one better? I don’t care about pricing as it’s all within 100$ of each other
I bought the gigabyte M32Q last year on a recommendation from Mr. Jason. He ws spot on and I love the monitor, he knows what he is talking about. Thumbs up.
What would be the better panel in your opinion. I'm stuck between the Dell G2724D and the LG GP850-B, I've heard good reviews and both and bad reviews about both and they are the same price in AUS.
Gotta look for deals! I found my LG ultragear+ 1440P 240Hz OLED for 410 plus tax at best buy, and with 4 year insurance. Such a great monitor, and so worth the price i paid for it.
Hello , I’m really enjoying your content and information on the budget side of gaming monitors and if I may ask what are your opinions about the LG Gn600-b ?. It’s available at my local Walmart for $209 and seems like a good option for my Xbox series S since it’s 1440p and can support 120hz . I would order online but had bad experiences with warranty and damaged shipping just easy to go in the store to swap it
I found the asus 27 inch 1440p 170hz VG27AQA1A for $170 on amazon, would this monitor be good for a dual monitor setup? Also, should I get this over any of the recommended budget monitors in the video?
I am looking to buy new monitor, thinking between Dell AW2725DF/ Dell AW2721D or AW2723DF? My pc Specs are i5 14600kf and Nvidia 4070ti? What are u recommend as the best option to go? Thanks in advance 😊
So the first one is decent though expensive. The other two aren't worth it because of the price. If you want a QD-OLED I would look at the MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 though if you want a 360hz Monitor that Dell looks good. If you just want a Regular 240hz Monitor the Gigabyte GS27Q X and MSI G274QPX are good options for less than that Dell.
what the differences between the AOC Gaming U34G3XM and the OC Q27G3XMN you advice? Is it only the size? I don't trust AOC mine fried at 144 MHz just yesterday I had it since 2 years ago...
The samsung Odyssey 8 are currently $550 for black friday do you recommend? I am currently using two 24 in 1080, wanting to upgrade to 1440p, but 2 27in seems too big but I also love multi tasking. This deal seems a hard to pass, should I give it a try?
Dang, I finally made the jump from TN to IPS with my newest monitor, and I come here and don't even hear about TN and hear "IPS is budget/mid-range". Oh man XD
IMO, at that price point you aren't spending that much more as a %. And you are a higher end buyer. So I figure why not spend a little bit more and get the best, which is QD-OLED in my opinion. But the $699 ASUS panel is quite amazing, and if that is as far as you can stretch you are still getting something amazing so go for it. That's why I listed both in the video. Hope that helps!

Great video as always! Struggling on which AOC to go with... overall value, do you think the Q27G3XMN is the way to go? Them both at the same price makes it very hard to pick...
I love this guy's enthusiasm, "STOP BUYING BAD STUFF"!! haha love it.
So glad you are enjoying! Thanks for watching
Great video the cat made it even better
Thank you! The cat is the true star here and everyone knows it ( ;
I got the Gigabyte M27Q V2 monitor for a couple of months now and I love it!
Just got the Omen 27qs today for $299 at best buy, that's a steal thank you for the advice.
Great deal!
what do you think about the BENQ MOBIUZ EX2710Q, does it compete with this list or is superior?
It's good if priced well where you are but in the US it's not worth it.
What monitor do you recommend for someone with a RTX 3080TI?……. Best 4K option that I could also use with my PS5 as well please. Thanks in advance.
See our Best Gaming Monitor 2024 video! We have out 4k picks there.
What about midrange or budget ultrawides at 1440p? Main reason i was watching but it's not here
Thanks for the Info......very informative......Any thoughts on the Samsung Odyssey G95C 49 Dual for video editing?......Its going for $799 on Amazon and is more in my budget.....and should i get an amazon warranty on this monitor? Thank you ahead of time.
The AOC CQ27G2 seems to be out of stock everywhere. Any idea when or if it's coming back?
fr I'm searching for it too...
exactly the video i was looking for. keep up the good work.
so glad to help!
Awesome and informative video. Thank you so much! I wish I had seen the video as first when I started to inform myself a few weeks ago😅
Glad it was helpful!
Great video as always. Please do a 4k Monitor one! I know the new Display Port is coming soon but would love to see your latest and greatest recommendations.
Thanks for the rec! And so glad you enjoyed the video :)
Got the AW2725DF when it came out a couple months ago. Jason was not lying in the slightest.. the thing blows my socks off every time I boot a game up still to this day since I bought it. Ghosts of Tsushima on PC is something really special to witness on this monitor, so is Helldivers 2
Great to hear! Thanks for sharing
How is the text clarity on it? I’m on the fence about picking up this monitor and I’ve heard it’s a it hard to read.
LG 27GP850-B VS AOC CQ27G3Z Which one is better overall?
That 49” Samsung super ultra wide looks AMAZING! Hopefully I can buy one for my birthday next year lol
Right?? I want one too lol
Went with the Alienware 2725df and it's a fantastic monitor. Which preset would you reccomended is best for gaming? Creator HDR 1000 seems to be the one I see a lot of people use on these videos would you agree?
What is your opinion about Acer Nitro XV272U F3 27 inch IPS WQHD. Looks like an absolute steal.
Should i buy the aoc q27g3xmn or the alienware aw2723df for the Same Price
Great video! What do you think of the Dell 27" QHD 165Hz 1ms IPS LED (G2724D)? I can get it on sale for $150 off where I live.
Good choice
I have the AOC 240hz 1440p monitor and I love it. I'm keeping the 1440p for video games and buying a 4k monitor to watch movies.
Thanks for sharing!
Nice video.
Why the Samsung G7/G65b aren't in the recommendations anymore?
They are just price too high to compete with my current recommendations. If they come down in price we'll add them to our links but at the moment just not worth the price jump from out picks.
This video was literally uploaded at *THE* perfect time!
I've been looking for a new (27"/1440p/240HZ/preferably curved but not necessary) monitor for quite a while now but I'm not sure if the two I found are the best in my budget range. (I'm a price to performance kinda guy)
First pick would be the MSI G274QPX, second LG 27GR83Q. My max. budget is 400€. They're both just a bit under 400€. I mostly play (competitive) FPS shooters.
I appreciate some opinions/recommendations for this monitor category👍(since the monitor is usually the longest lasting equipment in a PC setup, newbies like me don't want to make a "wrong" purchase😁)
I would say the MSI as I've seen good reviews on it.
I noticed the Koorui GN10 1440p 240Hz MiniLED is 290€ here. Also worth a look, though that one is more for AAA games and less for FPS games imo.
Which one did you end up getting?
This is how I do it. I got a WS OLED @ 165. So I adjust my GPU settings to get the best looking game with my 7900 XT that will show around 150 fps.
There is currently one option, the KOORUI GP01.
@@kelley09162 Incorrect, you can also get the AOC Q24G2A for like $199
What about the Alienware 1440p 240hz AW2723DF? Is it as good as these other 1440p 240hz ones or is the m27q-x and the LG one better? I don’t care about pricing as it’s all within 100$ of each other
Not worth if it in the US as it's currently $500. The MSI G274QPX is a better choice at $350 or the Gigabyte GS27Q X at $280.
I bought the gigabyte M32Q last year on a recommendation from Mr. Jason. He ws spot on and I love the monitor, he knows what he is talking about. Thumbs up.
That’s great to hear! Thanks for the update
What would be the better panel in your opinion. I'm stuck between the Dell G2724D and the LG GP850-B, I've heard good reviews and both and bad reviews about both and they are the same price in AUS.
dang i just bought a monitor yesterday, didnt know u made monitor videos! I got a LG 27GP850, for $220 hope thats still good today.
So glad you’re doing this videos thank you!!!! You saved me so much time & money!!
You are so welcome! Glad it was helpful!
Any recommendations for a 240Hz 1440p monitor that’s a curved 32”? Preferably less than or equal to half a millisecond response time.
The only one I see on PC Part Picker is the Samsung Odyssey G65B and it's expensive at $485.
@@kelley09162 thanks for looking. I’ll check it out
Does the AOC CQ27G3Z have HDMI 2.0 or 2.1?
Gotta look for deals! I found my LG ultragear+ 1440P 240Hz OLED for 410 plus tax at best buy, and with 4 year insurance. Such a great monitor, and so worth the price i paid for it.
Nice!
Hello, what do you think of this Samsung Odyssey G5 G51C 32 ?
Which monitor should I get to match with my msi GeForce 4070 ti super? Just built a new pc
If you want to play in 4k you're in the right place! Its going to depend on what games you play and what kind of experience you are looking for.
hey, an help with buying my new monitor, is this one SAMSUNG Odyssey G6 good compared with the ones you mention?
Usually not priced competitively but if you see it on super sale sure
I would put the ASRock PG27QFT1B over it.
The ASUS is a VA and people prefer IPS for Monitors.
@@kelley09162 noted, I do like motion blur tho, and it is $70 less than the asrock one
@@Mifibythe ASRock is currently $168 on Amazon
I don't trust AOC mine fried at 144 MHz just yesterday I had it since 2 years ago...
is arm lenght (85cm/33inch in my case)too far for 27inch 2k monitor? it will be on wall mount
The samsung Odyssey 8 are currently $550 for black friday do you recommend? I am currently using two 24 in 1080, wanting to upgrade to 1440p, but 2 27in seems too big but I also love multi tasking. This deal seems a hard to pass, should I give it a try?
That is a great deal!
@PCBuilderChannel ok just brought! Thanks!
Dang, I finally made the jump from TN to IPS with my newest monitor, and I come here and don't even hear about TN and hear "IPS is budget/mid-range". Oh man XD
There are great IPS options don’t stress!
Hi Jason, why do you recommend 360hz OLED monitor over 240hz one so much? Is there any difference when playing titles at 120fps cap?
IMO, at that price point you aren't spending that much more as a %. And you are a higher end buyer. So I figure why not spend a little bit more and get the best, which is QD-OLED in my opinion. But the $699 ASUS panel is quite amazing, and if that is as far as you can stretch you are still getting something amazing so go for it. That's why I listed both in the video. Hope that helps!
@@PCBuilderChannel Thank you so much for answering! Really excited for my first 360hz oled :)
How crazy good is the quantum dot from G274QPF-QD compared to those in same range and below of it?
The only aoc i can find is the q27g4x is that the newer model of the midrange one ylu recommended? Woyld REALLY appreciate a reply 🤞🏽💪🏼🙏🏽
Is there a cheaper curved alternative to the asrock phantom PG27Q15R2A
Hey @PCBuilderChannel, I’m going back to 27” from my 34”. I was looking at the AOC CQ27G3Z for $279, but as of right now Amazon has the Samsung Odyssey G6 G65B for $299. Which one would be the better monitor? Thanks
Actually there's 3 1440p 240hz monitors linked in the description for $299 I'd recommend! You'll see them marked with the fire emojis. Any of those are a great deal
@@PCBuilderChannel Didn’t see those, I have always favored curved monitors so I guess I’ll be going with the G6. Just worried about the dead pixels, and other issues from reviews. Thanks!
I've purchased both acer nitro 1440p monitors...immediately dead pixels out of the box. Returned them for an ASUS TUF...much better experience
Any 32" recommendations? I have the M32Q and love it, but I need a second 32" screen and wouldn't go to 4k yet.
If in the US Gigabyte has the GS32Q and it's currently $200
Thank you Jason. You’re the goat 3:16
(:
Im considering the aoc q27g3xmn but its like 400$ in eu, is it worth the money? The m27q x for example is like 350$
My best options in my country at the moment is the xv272u and the lg27gp850p-b they are basically the same price over here so which one would you say is better?
