Plenty of real-world religions, like Hinduism, have gods who can manifest as multiple avatars at the same time. The key here is that gods are so overwhelmingly "out there" that it's difficult to bind themselves in a mortal form, so every mortal form is just a tiny piece of them. It's like how your toes and fingers can exist at the same time. They're just tiny fractions of you - but they'd all scare the shit out of an ant. It might be a similar concept of the soul to what the Egyptians believed. Your soul had multiple parts, but the key aspects were the Sah, the Ba, and the Ka. The Sah was your spiritual body (kind of like the Christian concept), the Ba was your personality, and the Ka was your vital essence. What this means for TES is that your protagonists have their own personal identities, but they're also simultaneously avatars of Lorkhan, while also tied to another god. Oh, and the Dragonborn is almost certainly an avatar of Shor, just from how the game leaves Shor's throne empty in Sovngarde.
I think prisoners are not shezzarine. And characters like spetim & wulfhuurth weren't prisoners. I think prisoners are like an antivirus system to godhead's programming.
This interpretation is primarily Merish. Even the name "Lorkhan" or the idea of Him as a trickster is a fundamentally Merish interpretation. Don't insult Shor like that 😅
Same soul but different person yes, and makes total sense ^^ Since players are generally chaotic it also makes a lot of sense
The theory makes perfect sense. If the theory is correct, I find it a little unfair that Lorkhan only grants this blessing to humans.
It’s not unfair if the elves despise him

This is kinda like Michael Moorcock's eternal champion.
