    Whats worse is knowing it will be made by current day Bethesda. The Elder Scrolls 6 will probably be such a disappointment

    I don't even want it until Bethesda changes DRASTICALLY. They need a change in management, to stop using the creation engine & to take a much different approach in their game design. Bethesda has been making the same game with a different coat of paint since oblivion and its just not good enough for people anymore.

      I disagree with the take on Bethesda making the same game over and over again. Their game design was never the problem because games like Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrwoind, still hold up while Starfield aged in week. The problem is that they keep stripping away what makes their game design good in favor of some experiment and it kept getting worse with each game on top of just in general regressing their game design. With Fallout 4 they experimented with a voiced protagonist which messed up the dialogue system and made roleplaying harder. With Fallout 76 they tried to do multiplayer for an engine that couldn't handle it and resulted in one of the most infamous and buggy releases in gaming. Now with Starfield they took out meaningful exploration and decided to make a new boring IP that nobody is interested in. If they had simply taken the feedback they got from Fallout 4 and focused on making Fallout 5 and ES6 an improvement from Skyrim and Fallout 4, they wouldn't be in the mess that they are in or at the very least, they wouldn't be a complete joke now.

    ESO had the IP making money this whole time. If ESO would have died they would have pulled it back to life with another game quick af

      ESO is a pretty good mmo tho, I hate that Bethesda puts so many resources into it but I enjoy it

      honestly i don't think ES6 will come out, instead what we have to look forward to is mods such as skyblivion and skywind, these are sort of recreations of the beloved older elder scrolls game in skyrim's engine and mechanics, these mods have been worked on for over a decade now, skyblivion is going to come out for the full release to the public in 2025 just around the corner here, so we at least have that to play this next year.
      the thing is i don't think it's smart to even look forward to what bethesda is planning, the modders often make better products for free while using Bethesda's very engine to make these creations, i mean have you heard of fallout London?
      that project released only a few months ago and it's getting regular updates daily and a lot of ppl are loving it, it seems to have better writing than bethesda does in their games lately, so again, it's the modders we look to for new gaming experiences, because these days bethesda doesn't seem to be able to get to the level that modders often reach in their own gaming engine, it's likely why bethesda tries so hard to get the modders on their side because they know they are more often than not beat by the modders of their own games.
      so don't dwell on what bethesda is going to make, instead look forward to what the modders have in store for us, because bethesda never seems to hit the mark that players want from them these days.

    I dont think were gonna get it... I dont think Tod has it in him...

  • @BladeTheWatcher
    @BladeTheWatcher วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    Oh, come on. Face it - there will be no Elder Scrolls VI.
    Bethesda have so far found much easier ways to make money. ESO is an MMO which brings money constantly through subscriptions. Fallout 76 is an MMO which brings back money through subscriptions, cash shop, and so on. These "products" were dirt cheap compared to Skyrim or Fallout 4, made by "B" teams without the need of any innovation.
    Starfield was a feeble try to make a Fallout-alike, in space, so there is no immediate comparison. It was a flop, but it can get another couple of years for Bethesda to do exactly nothing.
    Then? Todd probably retires rich and famous, the rest of the company - not much is left - is dishonorably disbanded by MS.

    Yeah......the mod community got tired of waiting around oblivion is coming to Skyrim next year. Like the whole game , it's gonna be a similar build to the tale of two wastelands mod for fallout 3 and Vegas.

    i don't like MMO's, because i view them as gaming communism, you endlessly pay into a game in order to play it, i want to own my games, and if i can't own them, i pirate them, it's clear where the gaming industry is headed, and i don't like it one bit, so i sense pirating games becoming the norm in the future for me.

    If its going to be anything like starfield maybe its best they dont, even the modders didnt want to try and fix starfield

    At this point they should give us a Skyrim 2 or re release it yet again and give us 4 new expansion like the dawn guard and dragon born dlc but this time make the game with the updated engine since it’s the best game the arguably have released until we get the next main line like a elder scrolls 5.5 or something

    I was never one of these people who were hyper-addicted to skyrim. Beat it once and then fucked around dor a few ours a couple of different times. Loved the game but my bar is pretty low, genuinely only want skyrim with a couple new features and upgrades. Its gonna be hard to disappoint with the new release

    Or at least have a smaller B team work on a spinoff game for the world as opposed to letting the IP fade into the void

    Why we haven't got elder scrolls 6 yet? Bethesda have been milking skyrim and it's modding community for years why bother releasing 6 when you don't have to do much? Also they made that empty waste of space game. Bethesda is a lazy greedy company reliant on its modding community to improve and finish its games and I'm picking free mods the ones not clearly broken will be a thing of the past once these clowns release it

    straight up they know they arent capable of delivering a good experience
    looking back on all the elder scrolls from 3-5, fallout 3, NV, and 4, and starfield, they just absolutely blow ass. we loved them when we were younger because we didnt know better. we loved the open world with lot of cool stuff to explore but thats where the good ends. theyre all buggy broken messes. you dont play those games in 3rd person because bethesda has never heard of motion capture and have an unpaid intern making the most hamfisted animations veer seen for the characters. they deliberately ship half a game and let modders finish it
    theyre really gonna have to pull a miracle out of their ass for es6 to actually be worth it, because gamers now have experinced better and simply will not settle.

    Because after es4 locked out all the daedric princes and es5 killed the dragon god of destruction they've written themselves into a corner on what could possibly be a serious overarching big bad

      To arue your point, which your point is a damn good point btw i never really found the main quests to be that great in any of these games, oblivion was very memorable but skyrim's main story is complete garbage and the game has way to many bugs, but is still a masterpiece of a game and even when there is nothing to do anymore building your character never ends

    • @Ellert00
      @Ellert00 วันที่ผ่านมา

      How creatively bankrupt is that? Morrowind had a big bad who was very much so mostly a local threat yet Morrowind has a better story than both Oblivion and Skyrim.
      If I had a month to get creative I could write a script with a story for the next TES game that would be leagues ahead of what we got in Skyrim.
