@@Merdicano I agree but this release gives me hope that they’ll finish the job. Makes me begrudgingly optimistic especially since DC is under new management. If the Snyder Cut is a rousing success they could be motivated to give Snyder the keys again.

I really don’t like the MCU, not because their movies are bad (quite the opposite), but their movies are all I hear about. I like Zack Snyder’s movies because he does it differently, he isn’t copying the MCU, he is utilizing his own template for movies. I honestly would rather have MoS, BvS UE, and ZSJL over the entire MCU because they don’t follow the “rules” of how a movie should be made.

The problem is with the general audience, they need to be spoon fed. Zack Snyder treats his audience with a lot more respect and believes you can work it out with the information given to you throughout the film. Unfortunately the average cinema goer doesn't want to think that hard and expect to just be entertained with jokes and flashy colours.

everyone really forgot and glossed over the fact that THAT’S batman’s weakness and was incorporated in film seamlessly and no one noticed that and just directly jumped on the hate wagon using that plot point as an attack.
So the moral of the story: Don't dumb things down simply for marketability. The same thing happened to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies in the 90s.
And here we are, still geared towards kids to this day and age. Something that has always been that way since the 1987 series, and that's a fact.

Yes it is. No one nitpicks infinity war when the ships are coming down on wakanda and can’t get through the force field with hundreds upon millions pounds of pressure but the army is able to rip through that very same force field. I didn’t hear not a beep about that. 🙄

Just pointed out the fact, that people like to bring out Aquaman as some kind of winner, while nowadays, everybody forgot about that movie and the only reason why it got through 1Bil was China. Nobody is defending this way Suicide Squad for example, while about THAT movie, there are still talks even today. Also difference between Aquaman and MoS/BvS is, China didn't made third of their box office, just a small percent. But that's why I said "to be fair", technically I'm right, but practically I don't care :) ...and I honestly don't want to argue about such BS dude :D so just enjoy Aquaman and be happy for its success ! Its completely fine :)

I will defend BvS until my dying breath. Its not perfect. But what it does right in my book far outweigh its flaws.
I wish more people watched your videos. But its not like anything on the internet is going to change the mind of a hater. I am just so happy we are getting the Snyder Cut and I hope its successful enough for more chapters in this run.

@@pinkspider28 not much really. For me BvS is a collection of really awesome DC comic book moments put to screen. My issues have to do with how ambitious it is. it feels like at least 3 really great movies packed into one. BvS does A LOT. You have Clark dealing with the aftermath of MoS and the arc with the senate and all of that. Then you Have Batman hunting him down with the intention of killing. A Batman that is clearly so cool that it deserves its own franchise. So you never really get enough of Bens version. Then you have Lex and the things he is doing and setting up. Then you have the Death of Superman. While I love all of these things and the performances. I feel like each thing is stepping on the toes of the other. And I haven't even mentioned how its still needed time to introduce Doomsday WW Aquaman Flash and Cyborg. Resulting in them kind of feeling just thrown in. The Martha scene never bothered me. But I understand why it went over some heads. It could maybe have been better delivered. That along with the rest of the JL being introduced in email attachments are prob my 2 biggest gripes. But none of that stops it from being my 2
nd fav movie behind Watchmen,.

The real problem with Marvel is it's going to fade into obscurity with barely a whimper, it's going to suffer the fate of the tv show that keeps milking seasons for ratings far beyond it's natural conclusion until nobody cares anymore...The Walking Dead. How many tv shows have gratifying endings? Not many, and that's because there's usually no natural conclusion, Snyder's 5 part story would have been decisive and precise, it would have been cinema instead of long form television playing out on a big screen.
Your TV show analogy makes a huge amount of sense, which brings me into the reality of a serious question, do we absolutely, ferociously, seriously, need Avengers 5?

It's going to get ridiculous the more OG Avengers leave, it's going to become impossible for the uninitiated to deal in to the enormous amount of Marvel content, especially now that they're crossing shows with movies, it's going to become The X-Files post Mulder.

I NEVER tire of seeing Mr. Samuel L. Jackson speak the truth. Too many mcu fanboys/fangirls who aren't comic book readers or nostalgists or comic book readers who look more at some specifics without looking at whether the core characteristics are being represented or just plain impatient people who are sitting in their high chairs waiting to be fed the answers.
Great video. It really is about money at the end of the day. That's all that matters to the people that own these intellectual properties. They will go wherever the wind blows and it's painfully obvious. These influencers/vloggers/ bloggers/critics know this. So they try to do their part. It's nice to have folks like the Marks create content that helps to tip the scales in favor of director driven stories as opposed to whatever is the popular flavor of the week.

And I'm quite frankly just laughing at the posers that keep on saying "BvS is a failure" and we are HERE, five freaking years later still talking about it way f**king more than the Ant-Man movies or the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, or his spiritual brother, Civil War. Like, its mesmerizing how much of a unique effect BvS has hold in this relatively short test of time, that no matter how many can say how crappy it is, its being much more discussed at a higher faster length more so than the Spider-Man trilogy.
Needless to say, I still love BvS to this very day, and I hope to get my hands on that Ultimate Edition on day again. Its always so vastly incredible how WB doesn't have any jab at understading its own creative team unfortunately, as well as the marketing.
Because it was a blockbuster misfire. If Avengers, Civil War, Infinity War, or Endgame botched things too we would be talking about them for years also. Instead they’re talked about positively. Yes, BvS is discussion provoking but let’s not pretend it was INTENDED to be so divisive. It wasn’t. At all.

@@Merdicano I can see what your saying and I did just check out the video but heres the problem his arguement boils down to Batman can only kill in a story if it means showing why he shouldn't which is false as it ignores room for other interpretations of the character where he does kill and even ignores stories/interpretations where Batman Kills even when the story dosent require showing why he shouldnt kill.
And there are equally compelling arguements to be made as to why he should kill and ignores that there should be at least some stories where Batman should kill to demonstrate why it probably is better if he does that way we are unbiased for or against batman killing. it should be a matter of a fans personal taste and interpretation as to weather or not Batman kills.

I think Martha's scene make sense, what everyone expected superman will say save my mom? Superman is an alien, who cares about an alien's mom? the word Martha snapped batman from his mission to kill superman, at the moment only batman knows superman knows someone in this earth, and then lois came in at the right moment telling that martha is his mother name and superman know lois also.

One thing I can't stand is when people say "we don't know what kind of hero batman was before Superman arrived so for all we know, he DID kill criminals normally." First of all, yes we DO see Batman before Superman's arrival. It was called Suicide Squad. Second of all, all we need to know about Batman in BvS is how he got started, which essentially establishes his entire character, his rules, his morals and his code. The point of BvS is that it's meant to be a re-origin story of batman. And third of all, the biggest way we can tell that batman has changed for the worst is the general public's reaction to him. Which is another great thing about these films. The public and the world in general is meant to be a character all on its own. Also I made a video myself saying that batman doesn't intentionally kill in BvS but just doesn't care if he does.

@@PoopFartNut His intention was to scare them off and destroy their guns. Since he clearly had the upper hand those guys should have known to bail. Plus they were guarding the best tactical way inside the warehouse. And if he hadn't they would have destroyed his batwing.

It’s annoying to have to point out the obvious parts of the film that explain or answer people’s questions. Oh he said Martha what a goof! I mean, do we need to explain to you it’s about Batman finding his humanity once again and realizing how far he’s strayed? It’s all there on the screen guys. I have to believe people are just being disingenuous or they’re just used to being MCU spoon fed where the movie tells them exactly what’s going on beat for beat. Zack wanted to do something interesting instead of formulaic. Nobody is talking about any of the MCU now except avengers 3 & 4, Iron man, Thor 3 and maybe Civil War. I still see brand new MoS, BvS or Snyder’s JL videos going up

omg just found y'all.. first vid I am watchin.. And yeah, "save Martha".. I still understood the gravity of it.. And I still loved the UC version. My wife and I saw the theatrical version and hated it. Felt like so much was left out. And after seeing the UC, I felt vindicated. My wife however has yet to be convinced to watch it tho lol

The point of Supes death is more reasonable, because it has happened before in the comics. And if Batman or Wonder woman did it, there is no way they'll survive the Doomsday Spike
If Wonder Woman didn’t it, she likely wouldn’t GET the Doimsdsy Spike. Only reason Clark didn’t fully pierce Zod, was because he was holding a kryptonite spear. Diana would still have her strength
