As a creator myself, this advice was super helpful. 8 months in, I realize publishing content every week is a marathon, not a spring. Corey, you advice has convinced me to slow the pace a bit and focus on the long term vs this month. Solid advice my friend! 😎 Azul
Happy to help, man!
You've been a great example for how to succeed on YT and have been the push I needed to get back into it.
So thank you, too, my friend 🤝
That bruh moment when the solution to curing your burnout lies in a 26 minute video but you don’t have time to watch it.
Another great video, really enjoyed the longer format
Much appreciated, man! Yeah, going to play around with length and balance shorter focused vids with deep dive/masterclasses.
Love this video Corey, it's so good! Super helpful as I navigate life post burnout and want to make sure I don't end up back there again! Need to focus on recalibrating, as it's easy to fall back on old patterns. The full disconnection is something I tend to struggle with and it's a great reminder that I don't owe anyone anything. I often feel obligated to reply to everything and it can get draining, even though I enjoy it :) Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Hit me up if you need help navigating stuff 🤘
Found your channel a couple weeks ago and have found it to be an incredible resource. Thank you so much for sharing 🙏. Massive appreciation ✌️
Yo, much appreciated, man!
Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to cover in the future 🤘
I just recently discovered your channel, via your interview with Jay Clouse, and I found this video particularly helpful. Your phrase "A depleted battery is nothing but a toxic paperweight" really landed, it describes perfectly how much getting depleted is holding me down! Your way of describing things is absolutely unique. Your voice, rich Southern accent and your mixture of no bullshit and extreme warmth and empathy is really supportive and inspiring! Thank you.
This is some of the kindest feedback I've ever gotten. Thank you so much!
And I'm glad it resonated with you!
very much helpful. Saving it also for future reference
Happy to help!
Excellent advice as always. Wish I could just offload the draining tasks in my 9-5! :D
Thanks, man! Yeah, it's definitely harder with a 9-5. Main thing is setting up healthy boundaries so you leave work at work instead of bringing it home. Home should be a refuge, not an extension of all the stress of the office 🤘
@@coreywilkspsyd 100% agree. That's why I turn my work phone off, and try to leave my laptop at the office. Otherwise work never ends. So many don't and wonder why they can't ever turn off.
@@mattegan3439 Hell yeah. Glad you're already doing it. Agreed, few people can set healthy boundaries, but they make all the difference.
Thank for this informative session! I am from Tanzania-East Africa
Happy to help!
🙏
This was golden!
For me it's hard to think about things that energize me because I feel like everything is draining. Hanging out with friends, taking a walk outside - they all leave me feeling refreshed, sure, and I feel how good it is to do these things. But they also require loads of energy to do instead of recharging my battery. So I was thinking.. Maybe I could frame it like this: All these things that are fun, meaningful and refreshing, they might require energy but they also make sure that when I plug in my battery for charging at night, I have the slow charging option selected instead of rapid charge. Doing these things like taking walks and hanging out with friends make sure that when I'm alone and recharging, the charge actually lasts. Being in the middle of burn out actually felt like only having the rapid charge option on... I could have a full battery in the morning but it could be completely drained by the time I have my morning tea.
I love this analogy!
Thanks!
AWESOME VIDEO MAN. I feel like quitting. Hard
Glad it resonated!
