KOMO 1000AM is heard in Fresno Ca!!! On a 1925 Fada Radio no less! 900+ Miles

Just a little video I made to show the KOMO 1000AM station that I can hear them way over here in Fresno CA! I usually listen to KOMO around 3am as the atmospheric conditions are most favorable. The rooftop antenna makes all the difference I'm sure. This radio was built in 1925 at the FADA factory using tubes and basic electronics.

AM radio is cool like that. I often can pull in stations from 500-1000 miles away at night, even on things like my old Fada 20 or the Radiola 18. Right now I'm using the SLR-12B as my AM rig and it just pulls in stuff like crazy.

I made this video because I wanted to know if KOMO knows just how far their station is heard. It comes in loud and clear from midnight to 4am. I really wouldn't be surprised if this radio and antenna were in San Diego, KOMO 1000 would still be heard. It's cool hearing their weather, traffic, commercials.

I live in fresno too and I've heard channels from Colorado. But it has to be on a clear night and I was in Clovis at the time.

Sadly I don't think KOMO cares that I listen to them, they have never responded to my video and have sent it to them twice :(
