I have a FADA 1462 wooden table top radio from 1935 so the same year as this one is from and only 10 numbers difference between both of these models. Your radio has only five tubes and mine has six and yours works quite well makes me wonder how well mine would work, probably even better I bet. No doubt that both of these sets were built in the same year! I have the same style of electrolytic capacitor can, same IF transformer cans, same phono jack and similar serial number plate. Heck my radio even has a very similar metal 'FADA Radio' around the dial as well. I actually just brought my FADA back from the dead although I don't have the parts yet to repair the radio, but once I do it will hopefully work as well as yours does. There is no way I can deny that these old FADA are so very cool.
Very nice radio and find.
