Stay Strong! A Magic 4-Patch Quilt Honoring the Ukrainian People

This quilt measures 54” X 54”
Fabric Requirements (Not including binding and backing):
1 ¾ yards of Yellow (light)
1 ¾ yards of Blue (dark)
You will cut 11 strips, 5 ½” wide the width of the fabric for each color.
If you cut squares instead of using the strip method (shown in the video), you will need 72 blue squares and 72 yellow squares 5 ½” X 5 ½”.
You will make (36) 4-Patch blocks that will measure 10 ½” X 10 ½” (this is considered unfinished).
You will make 4 cuts 1 ¾” from the center seam.

You are so kind. It is funny that you mentions sports teams. One viewer is a University of Michigan fan and their colors are yellow (maize) and blue. The size is perfect for a lap quilt for watching the game and they are so quick and easy to make.

A 4-Patch is the easiest block, so all of the disappearing 4-Patch patterns are really easy. That is one of the things I really love about them. I am so happy that you enjoyed it.

I am so happy that you like all the designs. My son will be happy to hear that he isn't the only one to like that best. He didn't get a chance to vote on the last layout because I only found it near the end of the filming. It's kind of like an Easter Egg hunt. You never know when you will find the next one.
I happened upon your videos when watching some others. I love your variations of each block. I can't decide which pattern to start with. Thank you so much for your time and love of quilting and especially your love of teaching others. I may just start cutting my stash into HST and 4 patches and go from there. LOL
Thank you for the kind words and reassurance that all this work is actually helping people. I cut my scraps into pre-cuts of various sizes, but I haven't gotten brave enough to cut my stash without a pattern. 😉🥰
