I really enjoy your tutorials. You have such a calm speaking voice and that make’s you easy to watch and listen to. I purchased some Christmas fabric and wasn’t sure what pattern I was going to do. This one is beautiful and I absolutely love the idea of the gift 🎁 tag’s.
Thank you 💕
Thank you! You guided me through Rainbow Sorbet and this morning (5AM West Coast U.S. time) you helped me with this block before I had to dash off to work!
Love the quilt behind you. That is hanging. So beautiful
always articulate, easy to understand/follow instructions and the fabrics chosen are so colorful and interesting; this lesson seemed easy enough for me (experienced beginner).

Love the block. I particularly like your tip of placating those markers on the ruler - I will definitely be doing this in future. Thank you very much. You're my most helpful quilter and I've lost count of how many of your tips I now use regularly when I'm sewing.
Re: using the sticky arrows on the ruler -- Me too! I had a "why didn't I think of that" moment. So smart!
+eileenfb1948 lol thanks Eileen:)
+Nicole Cook I was in the office one day and thought>>>>hummmmm>>>>>thanks for watching

+Susan Allen Thanks and thanks for joining along and Merry Christmas:)
beautiful
I love the disappearing blocks there is just so much variety you can really get creative I was cleaning up my stash and I found a bunch of nine patches that I was going to talk cuz I didn't know what to do with them and I realized these your nine patches I can shop them and they came out so cute because they were just a plain pink and blue but when I chopped them and turn them I had something I really liked
don't you just love it when something like that happens:):):):)
Interesting to give it a try!💝
I like the alternative of just using 2 fabrics for each block - very classy :)
+Lesley Gilbert Thanks and have a Merry Christmas
+SewVeryEasy I forgot to ask - what does 'Hids' mean? I thought it might be a spelling mistakes (hides) but can't work it out :)
lol you are correct "hides" made the change thanks...

I'm working on a disappearing 4 patch and was wondering how to quilt it. I thought of the Daisy chain but theres so many little bulky intersections. I just wanted ideas. Thanks for the video btw. I got the seams right thanks to your video
all you got to do is place ruler line on the seam and cut the 4...much easier
I am new to quilting - your videos are so clear and helpful! Love looking at all of the different patterns! I just had a question on this quilt - how many blocks did you get out of the 16 fat quarters? I am looking at making a quilt using this technique, but the set of fat quarters I am looking at comes with 11 pieces and I wanted to know how big the final quilt could be with this many pieces.
Thank you!
Brittainy Clark go back and watch the video she got 8 layers of fat quarters hand-cut 6 & a half inch strips and cut them into six and a half inch squares she got six stacks of eight that's 48 blocks enough for 24 finished disappearing 4 patches g
That is so cute. Thank you.
I love it
thanks :)
Donde compro las telas, ha sido complicado aquí en la Ciudad de México, gracias por su apoyo
Great fun!
Yes, and I still need to get I quilted in time for Christmas lol
Historico
I have some Christmas fat quarters. I may have to give this a try.
+Vocalist1969 Send me pictures if you do:) thanks
I really like this tutorial. Where do I find the beginning of the blocks? Thank you.
It was a block of the month.. www.quiltingconfections.com/free/
جميل 🌹nice 👍
This finished quilt is really beautiful. Do you have listed anywhere the amount of fabric needed for the completed quilt, in yardage or fat quarters. I haven't seen if it's a collection or just fabric you chose in yardage.
I used 16 pre bundled fat quarters...hope this helps
16 fat quarters or 16 bundles of FQ
Very pretty but I like to put 1 1/2” smashing between each block. I also can’t understand why we have to cut block down and waste fabric. Thank you for the lesson.
The pieces arent cut in 6.5" squares, but rather a rectangle. What is the rectangle cut size?
Am I crazy, but it doesn’t look like the four patch are squares, but rectangles?
u r gr8 ma'am.handsup
THANKS:)
Are these square and what size. they look like rectangles and not squares. I have seen these done with 5x5 what size did you use?
it really is a 6 1/2"
I love your videos and follow you . Thanks for clarifying this. I love this block. I like it better now with your 6 1/2
I am confused a fat quarter is 18 x 22 in my area. 6 1/2 times 3 is 19.5 . 18 side is too short.
please help is this supposed to be a 6 inch square block?
thank you Shirley
A fat quarter is a quarter of the yard. You can buy a quarter yard from the selvedge to selvedge, or a fat quarter it is the fabric cut into 4 big pieces. In Canada, it is a quarter of a meter but is done the same way. hope this helps :)
@@SewVeryEasy yes you are very helpful. I was mistaken in my thinking. The left over is only 6.5 x about 5" depending on how much you had to remove to straighten the ends of the stacked fat quarters. God Bless you for all you do for the quilters.
what are the measurements. I tried a link and it didnt work
go here and print out the complete directions quiltingconfections.com/shades

when not using fat quarters, how much fabric?
4 fat quarters = a yard. so it will all depend on how big you are going to make it and how many different fabrics
I'm out of time, can I just have that one you just finished?
+Susan Aylesworth Who said I was finished:)
And agane ;)
Merhaba lora
kolay gelsin
+Reziye İzgi Thank You:)
I didn't find that easy
It's probably because she doesn't pause between steps, has a monotone voice, and thus it all runs together. A bit of video skills and voice fluctuation would help her alot.
we need a new name for the elf-fest, cause there's no Jesus Christ in that christmas quilt. I think God is insulted.
