    The problem is as in most countries, although left leaning governments care about “social rights” they ruin the economy and often talk but don’t get things done. That’s why people end up voting for parties on the right because they get sick of it. Safety and economy are peoples number one issues, things like lgbtq rights etc are not so important to people when they are struggling to secure a job that pays well enough to survive. It’s just the truth unfortunately.

      Yes and its a problem alot of lefties dont really seem to understand. Like protecting minority rights are important but just objectively from a political perspective running primarily on policies and voting for people whos priority is social policies that only effect at most like 20% of the population depending on the policy will eventually end in loss when your economic policy is eroding for a vast majority of the country. But center left parties will continue to run on harm reduction and maintaining the status quo as their platform until every country has pushed far right like its the 1930s again.

      Should it be a legal requirement to speak English in Italy?

      Yes guys, I am not sure if you are Italians, but I sure am. If you were, you would understand the limitations of not being able to read news and articles in a language other than your mother language. In a world that is global, it's unreasonable that our education does not provide us the tools to get information outside of what we are provided by politically - affiliated newspapers. This is a real issue as most young Italians have never left their villages and never seen how Europe truely works. Without english, of course you cannot.

    • @isabellamele9756
      @isabellamele9756 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It is mandatory in the whole of Europe to teach and speak english, so that we can be better informed, we can better communicate, and better understand international-driven issues, such as immigration, global economic crisis, international politics.

      Yeah, it's the globalist agenda and the same smear tactics. I heard the Americans calling half their country semi-fascist 2 weeks ago. Now I know why. They will promote a fear of fascism and use it to attack and discredit their political rivals. Sounds like some other people I read about in history books. Even ones with the names they recklessly throw around at other people.

    Love to see VICE news have an "unbiased" opinion when deciding what to pick for a headline such as this comparison to a murderer to a candidate that's conservative. Great reporting on your end 👏

    In Germany, you don't see a whole lot of obelisks with Hitler's name engraved on them. Italy is in love with its glorious past, which makes its citizens vulnerable to propaganda that tugs at those threads.

      Germany should have that tho. Nations should be in love with their past, history, culture, and greatness of previous leaders. Liberals want us to love gender identity and foreign invaders. Ill take the former.
