For those who watched the video and wondering what the ingredients used were, I'll try and break it down. It's going to be my best guess but I think I'm right. The pink paste spread over the banana leaves is kapi or shrimp paste, made from fermented tiny shrimps and salt. The pea-like berries are pea aubergines. The scaly oval brown fruits are snakefruit aka salak. The cream-coloured butter-like stuff is likely palm sugar. The yellow limes are calamansi limes, native to south east Asia

The Bug that u just saw it call "Mang Da" (Ma-en-Da) in thailand. When u add it in to a sauce it gave a special and unique smell (a good one). If u like thai food may be u will love "Mang Da".
This kind of water bug, it's called "ma-lang-da-nah" in thai. It has a very unique smell and taste really great when you make it to "nam-prik" (kind of chilli paste).

When I was in Thailand in the early ‘70’s, the Thais called them “Baht Bugs” for us Americans to understand they love them so much they’ll buy them for one Baht (a nickel US each). That’s the fare for a ride on a Baht Bus. They would eat them alive, sucking the contents of the gastric system out of its anus. They said it tasted like candy. I believe them but they can have mine free. There are worst things I saw but I understand it’s a different culture and many things of their culture are beautiful and I loved my stay there.

That bugs is Lethocerus indicus, it can create a unique flavor, in Việt nam we call it “cà cuống”. That bugs are very expensive.
