In Islam and Christianity, the importance of angels are also mentioned as servants of Allah. In fact, in Islam, angel Jibrīl (Gabriel in the Bible) relayed the message of Allah to prophet Muhammad. Once I heard a Christian man say when he was reading the Quran, he felt like he was reading the Bible. And this is not surprising considering how similar these religions are. And, if you believe Judaism and Christianity are brother religions as well, or similar to each other in many ways, then Islam would definitely be similar to both of them as well and vice-versa. Many modern Christians unfortunately do not actively practice the Bible to it’s fullest and many have not actually read the Bible fully, taking interpretations from others around them instead of having the actual scripture as their first source to go to. What if I told you that all believing Christians and Jews are actually Muslim (which literally means “one who submits (to the will of god)”, which both Jews and Christians do!) because we all believe in the oneness of Allah’s power (there are no other gods), faith, angels, holy books, the prophets and messengers of God, the day of judgement, Devine decree, fasting, and charity. Muslims consider the Torah and Psalms (both of which are books of the Bible) to be all three of the other holy scriptures alongside the Quran because these are all the words of God, and we should treat the Quran in a similar manner.

In one music video I watched, a comment said “when Justin Bieber was being a drunk and being self destructive, I was being judgmental instead of praying. My walk with God was equally lacking and I didn’t realize it.” That resonated with me about how I’m viewing these artists.
Yeah, these artists are in deception and need prayer. They should be on the top of our prayer list not our playlist. That industry is evil and it breaks it's artists, but listening to their music and giving them money and fame and validation isn't going to help them,it's going to keep them from calling out to Jesus.

It's extremely difficult finding artists to follow as a Christian, almost every artist now makes songs about satanism, lgbtq and vulgarity. I had 100+ songs about those in my playlists but after getting interested in Christianism i removed all of them. I just wish soon more safe artists come around to balance all the trash that is on media nowadays.
There are Christian artists who glorify God in their music. Maybe start by seeking out a radio station in your area, look at who was part of the Dove Awards. Things like that.

I am an old soul and listen to music from the 1920's to the early 2000's. My fav artist to listen to is MIchael Jackson. He was raised Jehova Witness and later became christian. He pushed so many positive messages across all his music. For example the song called Song Groove (aka. Abortion Papers) he signs about how wrong Abortion is because its against the word of God. He has always and only thanked God first for all his acheivments! I think his strong religous principals stayed with him throughout his whole career and helped him with everything he faced.

It started taking a darker turn around red, it was subtle but she started incorporating Astrology and Twin Flame refrences and New Age then already and her albums got darker and more bolder with the occult with each release. You only really notice if you go back and intentionally listen. Angela from Heaven and Healing podcast has a few good episodes about her music. She's an ex New Ager so she recognises this stuff.

@@fredbarnesjr.1044 The churches are Yes, but the music isn't written by the Church leaders, many of the song writers and worship leaders in churches like these are spirit filled believers who love Jesus who just happened to be involved in a church that is decieved. Most of their music is actually biblically sound, some of it isn't especially Bethel so I would use discernment and caution when listening to the songs.

Satan has always had his hands in the movie & music industries. They're both very ugly, greed-driven corporations that prey on young, innocent people that are eager to please, and who thrive on the praise and promises of fame from studio execs. Dating back to silent films, most mainstream actors & musicians come from broken homes and/or have deep-seated mental and emotional issues, so they're already vulnerable. They sign these 100 page contracts not knowing that the verbiage buried within contains clauses that give studios the legal rights to their names, birthdays, SSNs, public image, and everything the artist is and produces while they're legally bound to the contract. The studio's only obligation to the artist is to pay them a percentage of their earnings which isn't much after everyone involved gets theirs, so if they want an actual ROI they have to adhere to these grueling touring and filming schedules, follow whatever diet they're told, say what their reps instruct them to say in interviews, conduct themselves however their managers decide, and their accountants control their money. Artists and actors have to be VERY secretive in creating their own record labels, independent production studios, and businesses because that's the only way to legally make enough money to buy out of their contracts. It's an industry that thrives on extremes, and satan has always used desperation, exploitation, fear, greed, shame, public perception, and mental illness to manipulate everyone involved, and that especially includes the listener/viewer. These artists are humans just like you, me, and everyone in this and every comment section, and when people decide to dehumanize them by calling them evil, vile, demonic, lewd, disrespectful, and all the things their management and PR teams are pushing them to portray themselves as, then satan wins. Now satan's doing the same thing digitally with the influencer and streaming industries. It starts out very innocently with a person making a few short videos from the safety of their own home, but as soon as that video gains norotiety it gains the opportunity to become monetized. Then satan throws advertising contracts and legal obligations into it, and the cycle begins 🤦

@@lydjoy3385 we have a creative God and that can be seen through all aspects of life, music being one of them. Secular music has allowed me to connect with so many non-believers and God has used it as a prompt to get to ask deeper questions and form deeper relationships with people I’d usually NEVER talk to. Some of these people might not even have any Christian influence in their life. Sometimes I’ve worshiped God through secular songs as well. The lyrics have reminded me about Gods love and I’ve cried happy tears in worship through these secular tunes. Sounds crazy I know but worship isn’t just limited to a genre or even music for that matter. There is nothing wrong with listening to different music as long as it doesn’t negatively impact your relationship with Jesus. Sometimes you’ll need to put up boundaries to protect yourself and other times God might be calling you into an environment He knows you can handle. We shouldn’t be afraid because with Jesus we are safe. But each spiritual journey is different and this is just a slice of mine. Hope that makes sense haha
@@JordenTually Okay but what about secular songs that blatantly are against god's values? songs that talk about sex or drugs or addictions? artists that are satanic and/or promote lifestyles that blatantly are blasphemous? you still use that to worship a god that is holy and righteous? i'm sorry but that does not sound right to me. obviously there is nothing wrong with listening to different kinds of music--if they're not against god's character and values. but mixing worship of god and secular music together is very weird. matter of fact, god had spoken about this in the bible many times. i'm not trying to be rude or anything, but i want you to be cautious. there is a temptation to continue in your old ways (regardless of the type of media you like) and mix it with god to rationalize what your flesh wants. i personally love to read and i mostly read "secular" books. but i am careful with the types of books that i read--no smut, no books that are morbidly dark, etc. no books that blaspheme the name of my god (like "jesus", christ, christ's sake, etc). last year, i was reading really bad stuff and tried to rationalize it with the same logic you described with music. but that opened me up to a lot of spiritual oppression. i had to repent and clean up what i was consuming by asking the holy spirit to convict me. i would ask god again (like go on a fast) about his views on the type of music you're listening to. god is a holy god and he will not lead you to sin (or music that is sinful). that sounds more like the devil to me, whose goal is to deceive as many people as possible. don't hold anything back from god. ask him to remove all your biases, your desires, flesh, and then ask him to show you how HE wants you to worship him. you don't need to listen to secular music to "relate" to unsaved people. the bible doesn't talk about that. you just need to be led by the holy spirit when you talk to unsaved people and be full of the word of god. the apostles did not bathe themselves in pagan worship just so they could "relate" to the pagans around them. not at all. they came in the holy spirit and his power and did way more for christianity than most of us ever will. god bless you and i love you.

God loves everyone, including non Christians, but that doesn’t mean everyone is saved. We are only saved when we deny ourselves and follow Christ. We HAVE to live for Christ, we HAVE to abandon our sin, so ofc we aren’t perfect we’re still gonna sin, but what God wants so see is us trying, and struggling to get rid of our sin. We have to put in that effort

He tries to kill the devil but fails. Here in Starboy, we see him killing his "old self", destroying everything the "devil" gave him. The awards, trophies, records. Doing this with a cross can represent many things, but the Cross is the main symbol of redemption, salvation, and "erasing" past mistakes.

I really loved “Clouds.” Sabrina Carpenter did a great job and that movie was about a Christian young man who, in the face of death, showed unwavering courage and faith. She was also great in “Girl Meets World.” It’s sad she just turned into another sex symbol. As a Catholic, her music video in the church bothered me. I also blame the pastor of that parish for allowing it to happen. Churches are holy places for worship - literally God’s house! - not for music videos. I was happy to hear that the parish donated the money they received from the music video production to a pregnancy center. But still, it never should’ve happened.

The reason why most artists like mentioning Jesus is probably they were born in Christian families and don't practice Christianity anymore. Also, if they mention anyone other than Jesus like Buddha or Muslim God would be they don;t just stand there when their god is mentioned. Yeah, I stopped listening to secular music about 10 or 15 years ago and only keep my radio on Christian music. This is hugely significant for me because my entire life has been surrounded by secular music. There was no event that made me switch, I just found myself feeling better when I immersed myself and worship music.
Everything according to their faith. I see that with all things, you could receive, reject, or redeem. Receiving is for things that expressly spiritual and from God, and they are to be received joyfully by Christians. Some things are expressly sinful and wrong and they should be rejected, and certainly much music falls into this. But then there’s many more things that are secular, but not expressly Christian nor sinful, and a lot of secular music falls into this category, including much pop music, jazz, and classical music. With these, one can redeem these and still enjoy these to the glory of God in gratitude - but with these things that aren’t precisely and explicitly mentioned in the Bible with how to handle these, it’s according to their own convictions and there’s freedom in how one exercises this aspect of their faith knowing that their righteousness and identity is secure in Christ regardless of if they choose to redeem that kind of music or reject it

Remember how in 1 Corinthians 1:14-15 it says how hair is where the beauty of a woman comes from? Considering this, wouldn’t the best thing to do as indicated in the Bible to preserve this beauty and not show it off to everyone (especially if you’re married, devoted to your husband)?

After all, there have also been Christian and Jewish terrorists too, just as many if not more. In every single religion, there are extremist groups who proclaim themselves to be believers but are actual disbelievers promoting violence and are contorting the true message of God to all. True muslims resent this behavior and are ashamed of the acts that these extremist groups have committed.
In fact, in Surah Al-Maida (5:32) it explicitly expresses how murder of others unless it is self defense to protect yourself and your family for example is 100% prohibited and a major sin to Allah. In Surah Al-Imran (3:134), it emphasizes how Allah wants us to remove all hatred for others, like in the Bible. In Surah Ash Shura (42:37), it emphasizes having forgiveness when you’re angry or have sentiment towards someone. In Surah Al-Mumtahanah (60:8) it talks about the importance of respecting all people, including non-believers or people not of the book (people who are not Christian or Jews, or people of the book), and always maintaining good character towards others no matter what.
It is not the job of humans to judge and persecute others for their unholy actions, it’s the job of Allah proceeding judgement day. Again, it doesn’t stop here. Once I heard a Christian man say when he was reading the Quran, he felt like he was reading the Bible. And this is not surprising considering how similar these religions are.
And, if you believe Judaism and Christianity are brother religions as well, or similar to each other in many ways, then Islam would definitely be similar to both of them as well and vice-versa. Many modern Christians unfortunately do not actively practice the Bible to it’s fullest and many have not actually read the Bible fully, taking interpretations from others around them instead of having the actual scripture as their first source to go to.
What if I told you that all believing Christians and Jews are actually Muslim (which literally means “one who submits (to the will of god)”, which both Jews and Christians do!) because we all believe in the oneness of Allah’s power (there are no other gods), faith, angels, holy books, the prophets and messengers of God, the day of judgement, Devine decree, fasting, and charity.
Muslims consider the Torah and Psalms (both of which are books of the Bible) to be all three of the other holy scriptures alongside the Quran because these are all the words of God, and we should treat the Quran in a similar manner.

In one music video I watched, a comment said “when Justin Bieber was being a drunk and being self destructive, I was being judgmental instead of praying. My walk with God was equally lacking and I didn’t realize it.” That resonated with me about how I’m viewing these artists.
Yeah, these artists are in deception and need prayer. They should be on the top of our prayer list not our playlist. That industry is evil and it breaks it's artists, but listening to their music and giving them money and fame and validation isn't going to help them,it's going to keep them from calling out to Jesus.

I had 100+ songs about those in my playlists but after getting interested in Christianism i removed all of them. I just wish soon more safe artists come around to balance all the trash that is on media nowadays.
There are Christian artists who glorify God in their music. Maybe start by seeking out a radio station in your area, look at who was part of the Dove Awards. Things like that.

I am an old soul and listen to music from the 1920's to the early 2000's. My fav artist to listen to is MIchael Jackson. He was raised Jehova Witness and later became christian. He pushed so many positive messages across all his music. For example the song called Song Groove (aka. Abortion Papers) he signs about how wrong Abortion is because its against the word of God. He has always and only thanked God first for all his acheivments! I think his strong religous principals stayed with him throughout his whole career and helped him with everything he faced.

You only really notice if you go back and intentionally listen. Angela from Heaven and Healing podcast has a few good episodes about her music. She's an ex New Ager so she recognises this stuff.

They're both very ugly, greed-driven corporations that prey on young, innocent people that are eager to please, and who thrive on the praise and promises of fame from studio execs. Dating back to silent films, most mainstream actors & musicians come from broken homes and/or have deep-seated mental and emotional issues, so they're already vulnerable. They sign these 100 page contracts not knowing that the verbiage buried within contains clauses that give studios the legal rights to their names, birthdays, SSNs, public image, and everything the artist is and produces while they're legally bound to the contract. The studio's only obligation to the artist is to pay them a percentage of their earnings which isn't much after everyone involved gets theirs, so if they want an actual ROI they have to adhere to these grueling touring and filming schedules, follow whatever diet they're told, say what their reps instruct them to say in interviews, conduct themselves however their managers decide, and their accountants control their money. Artists and actors have to be VERY secretive in creating their own record labels, independent production studios, and businesses because that's the only way to legally make enough money to buy out of their contracts.
It's an industry that thrives on extremes, and satan has always used desperation, exploitation, fear, greed, shame, public perception, and mental illness to manipulate everyone involved, and that especially includes the listener/viewer. These artists are humans just like you, me, and everyone in this and every comment section, and when people decide to dehumanize them by calling them evil, vile, demonic, lewd, disrespectful, and all the things their management and PR teams are pushing them to portray themselves as, then satan wins. Now satan's doing the same thing digitally with the influencer and streaming industries. It starts out very innocently with a person making a few short videos from the safety of their own home, but as soon as that video gains norotiety it gains the opportunity to become monetized. Then satan throws advertising contracts and legal obligations into it, and the cycle begins 🤦

I’m not Christian, I’m a Muslim woman, but I will say I really enjoyed this video. It’s really insightful and got me thinking about the kind of music we all hear mainstream every day. You are completely right and even I myself have noticed how the music industry tends to weaponise Christianity and uses religious symbols in very sacrilegious mannerisms. It’s disturbing and disappointing that we all grew up loving these artists for their catchy songs but were unaware that they were feeding us these very Anti-God messages.

@@lydjoy3385 we have a creative God and that can be seen through all aspects of life, music being one of them. Secular music has allowed me to connect with so many non-believers and God has used it as a prompt to get to ask deeper questions and form deeper relationships with people I’d usually NEVER talk to. Some of these people might not even have any Christian influence in their life.
Sometimes I’ve worshiped God through secular songs as well. The lyrics have reminded me about Gods love and I’ve cried happy tears in worship through these secular tunes. Sounds crazy I know but worship isn’t just limited to a genre or even music for that matter.
There is nothing wrong with listening to different music as long as it doesn’t negatively impact your relationship with Jesus. Sometimes you’ll need to put up boundaries to protect yourself and other times God might be calling you into an environment He knows you can handle.
We shouldn’t be afraid because with Jesus we are safe. But each spiritual journey is different and this is just a slice of mine. Hope that makes sense haha

obviously there is nothing wrong with listening to different kinds of music--if they're not against god's character and values. but mixing worship of god and secular music together is very weird. matter of fact, god had spoken about this in the bible many times.
i'm not trying to be rude or anything, but i want you to be cautious. there is a temptation to continue in your old ways (regardless of the type of media you like) and mix it with god to rationalize what your flesh wants. i personally love to read and i mostly read "secular" books. but i am careful with the types of books that i read--no smut, no books that are morbidly dark, etc. no books that blaspheme the name of my god (like "jesus", christ, christ's sake, etc).
last year, i was reading really bad stuff and tried to rationalize it with the same logic you described with music. but that opened me up to a lot of spiritual oppression. i had to repent and clean up what i was consuming by asking the holy spirit to convict me.
i would ask god again (like go on a fast) about his views on the type of music you're listening to. god is a holy god and he will not lead you to sin (or music that is sinful). that sounds more like the devil to me, whose goal is to deceive as many people as possible.
don't hold anything back from god. ask him to remove all your biases, your desires, flesh, and then ask him to show you how HE wants you to worship him.
you don't need to listen to secular music to "relate" to unsaved people. the bible doesn't talk about that. you just need to be led by the holy spirit when you talk to unsaved people and be full of the word of god. the apostles did not bathe themselves in pagan worship just so they could "relate" to the pagans around them. not at all. they came in the holy spirit and his power and did way more for christianity than most of us ever will.

For 2 years now I have tried to get away from secular music all together. So whenever I am able to change the music from secular to Christian, I do. Secular music is terrible and destructive. I tell her to pay attention to how messed up the lyrics are and to find other music to listen to but she always says "it's not that deep". @@Rose07242 I think you missed the whole point of the video. This "you do you" mentality is the problem with our society because it's not built on love. If you knew someone you loved was harming themselves, would you just let them continue doing what they're doing, or would you want to protect them from continuing to get hurt? Yes, my sister CAN listen to these artists but as the video says, she shouldn't. There's more music out there that isn't satanic.

Yeah, I stopped listening to secular music about 10 or 15 years ago and only keep my radio on Christian music. This is hugely significant for me because my entire life has been surrounded by secular music. There was no event that made me switch, I just found myself feeling better when I immersed myself and worship music.
Everything according to their faith. I see that with all things, you could receive, reject, or redeem. Receiving is for things that expressly spiritual and from God, and they are to be received joyfully by Christians. Some things are expressly sinful and wrong and they should be rejected, and certainly much music falls into this.
But then there’s many more things that are secular, but not expressly Christian nor sinful, and a lot of secular music falls into this category, including much pop music, jazz, and classical music. With these, one can redeem these and still enjoy these to the glory of God in gratitude - but with these things that aren’t precisely and explicitly mentioned in the Bible with how to handle these, it’s according to their own convictions and there’s freedom in how one exercises this aspect of their faith knowing that their righteousness and identity is secure in Christ regardless of if they choose to redeem that kind of music or reject it

personally i don't listen to sabrina but by "Jesus is a carpenter" she was just stating that Jesus is a carpenter (not in a way of saying Jesus is in her fan base) but just celebrating that her last name is carpenter and Jesus was a carpenter. but yes she indeed needs to repent from the other stuff she does. and finally someone said ariana grande. ariana made a song titled "God is a woman". many people defended her by saying "she's talking about feminism" but even if she is she could have titled the song as something else because it's still blasphemy to refare God to something his not. and in the music video she said, "and to all my sisters I am the lord." like i said it doesn't matter if she wasn't talking about God. it's still blasphemy to use the Lords name in vain. so thank you for saying ariana grande!! and i also subbed.
