When my mother was pregnant with me, her heart doctor told her she will die if she didn't abort me. She didn't die. My mother lived to the age of 68. She loved me more than herself.

I was conceived via rape. I am so thankful that I wasn’t judged for the crimes of my father the way that so many innocent children nowadays are. It saddens me today when people use rape as a justification for abortion because they are in a roundabout way saying it would’ve been perfectly okay and acceptable for me to have died. I am thankful for the life God gave me, despite the circumstances surrounding my conception. God can turn all things for good, including something as horrendous as non-consensual sexual sins.
Edit: I don’t usually comment on TH-cam. I tend to stray away from social media. My choice to comment here was impulsive at best. I was just giving thanks to God, and trying to share my testimony. I thought the video would be safe to comment on because it’s a Christian ministry channel, and I expected one, or two awful comments, sure, but I never expected to check my notifications and see people arguing and even insulting one another’s intelligence and even taking slights at me personally for sharing. I knew social media was toxic, but I didn’t know the extent. Please pray for one another.

No, they are saying they shouldn't be forced to conceive under abusive circumstances without a say. If someone wants to make the choice to carry out a pregnancy they can, but if they don't want to they shouldn't be forced to. Someone's personal situation and choice is not the deciding factor for other people's circumstances or choices.

I love what this video said. I just want to ask people to not blindly attack women who do have an abortion, they probably went through much hurt and regret and doesn't need anyone else criticizing them, but to radically love them like Jesus would have. I also want to ask men to rise up as fathers or providers, I think the absence of a reliable father can often factor into having an abortion.
Women are not objects, they are not to be objectified, I think many people who say "my body my choice" have felt oppressed and objectified, let's work to heal and right this culture before flashing "this is right/ this is justice" card upon people.

What the Blessed Mother Teresa said about Abortion:
By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. And, by abortion, that father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. The father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.

15:27 so you're telling me a 10 year old girl who gets raped should birth a baby she is not ready to have.
And why would you state that many women use rape as an excuse with is really invalid.
Yes people have sex and then the woman is pregnant, but they usually don't abort unless it's life threatening.
Back to the 10 year old girl. How is it fair to her? It's disgusting. Let the girl be the child she is. It's not her fault she has to go through pain because she was part of a sin she couldn't control.

      @skyscapegamingllc8154 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +32

@DeedisBox I have been waiting for a comment like this. See, rape is a very serious subject. I've seen arguments for and against it. Because I am Christian, I will always argue the preciousness of human life. To me, life begins at conception. However, I am not a shallow thinker. Traumatic instances _do_ happen. And I hate when an abortion is a necessary medical need for situations. That being said, it will _always_ be a horrible situation to me. It is the loss of a life and it is a tragic situation. To that, I would say it's judging 2 lives. And I would probably make the choice of an abortion. This all being said, in the context of my religious beliefs, I do not think that for a regular case of two adults consentually having sex, that abortion should be used as a form of birth control. I believe that protection must be used for those intimate moments.
But hear this, above all else. In the case of an abortion, I will always see it as a death, even in those rough situations. It will always be a sad and painful experience in those times.

I was in the same situation 25 yrs. ago, trying to get an abortion. Those time, I was thinking that women should have a choice to have an abortion. I was so down that time and for me that was my biggest problem I had where you cannot go to God because I know He will not going to agree on it. I was ready to do it but deep inside there’s still hesitant because I was raised a conservative Catholic where I go to church every Sunday and pray everyday. So I asked Him one last time to give me a sign that I should not have to do it. God gave me signs in 3 days, I have a Touch by an Angel calendar with an inspirational words or message that resonates to your every day life. So Feb. 24 says, “Sometimes we fear we can’t control but God said “Don’t be afraid, I am with you.” Feb.25 says, “Only God has the right to take a life or give back. Let Him give yours back to you. Let Him help you find mercy for those who fail. Feb. 26, says, “God created you in love. He created your child in love. He will give you the love you need. And then your child will give it back to you for the rest of your life.” After that day, changed my mind and my son was born Oct. 2, 1999. I was grateful that God never forsake me to commit sin. He saved me. I’m so thankful to have a wonderful and loving son❤.

The most bitter tears I've seen are from women who ended their childs life, and a close second is a woman who realizes they chose not to have children and now are too old to. Even if abortion was biblically allowed, the fact is simply by looking at the fruits of abortion, we see it is a dark and evil pit, a sinful one.
In the moment, we as humans have a tendency to justify our actions. The fact is, if you consider getting an abortion because you don't believe you can care for that child, it's a bigger doubt than simply doubting your own ability, it is actually questioning the divine providence God promises over you AND your household. It WILL be hard, but! God is ALWAYS able. He WILL provide, put your faith into HIM rather than your own understanding!
And a reminder. You can be forgiven for abortion, even calling it what it is: murder. Jesus died to cover the sins of the world, and though it is difficult to accept, His mercy extends even to murderers, if you believe in Christ Jesus and that He died for the sins of the world, accept His sacrifice.

I was born out of wedlock. My parents were both in high school when I was conceived. They got married not until I was about to be 3 years old. But I'm so glad that they didn't give me up or that I was taken away. Now I'm a devout follower of Jesus and have been since age 6 through the influence of the Father when I was a child without even going to church. I have a question:
what doyyou say about the situations where the mothers life is in jeopardy because of a pregnancy the maybe her body isn't ready for? I'm a pro-life Christian, but Im worried about the people in certain situations where it's simply too dangerous to have a baby then. I know abortion is wrong, but it's hard to be anti-abortion when the life of the mom is in danger..

    • @alycewich4472
      @alycewich4472 หลายเดือนก่อน

IMO the saving the life of the mother is a straw man for the @bortion industry. If a woman is truly in danger for her health an @bortion can take up to 3 DAYS, while a caesarean takes an hour or so.
The intent of the @bortion industry is to destroy the baby whereas the pro-life position is to try to save both. Sometimes with an ectopic pregnancy, where the baby isn't implanted in the uterus, but in the fallopian tube it is a danger to both the mother and child. In that case, the goal is to save both the mother and child, but the baby is too immature and science hasn't come up with a way to transplant the baby into the mother's womb yet. In that case the baby will die.
But @bortion doesn't take care of it at all since the baby isn't in the uterus.

    • @alicia234

This is not true. There are pro-life gynecologists who have treatments for these situations. For example, bed rest, C-sections, stitches, ectopic pregnancy removal, D&C (not to be confused with D&E or D&X). This is fear mongering from pro-choice people. Look up The Dublin Declaration from medical professionals.

@nexstbob6911 Yeah, no, it doesn't. The verses you have typed are talking about a test that was made to determine if a woman cheated on their husband or not. First, the husband brings an offering of barley meal, with no oil or frankincense in it. Then, the priest would give the wife bitter water. If she didn't cheat on her husband, then she would be perfectly fine. But if she did cheat on her husband, then her belly would swell, and her thighs would rot, taking away the ability to have children. There is no talk of a baby being in the womb when the test is taking place.

@@Logann46 There are OB/GYN doctors who were former @bortionists and now pro-life who can argue this better than I can. However, 2 of them that I have heard put it this way. There is NEVER a reason for a woman to have an @bortion. If she is having problems with her pregnancy, a caesarean is much faster (by days) to remove the baby to save the life of the mother. Even with an ectopic pregnancy, the goal is to save both mother and child, unfortunately with an ectopic pregnancy, the baby is too young to survive.
But I can remember a time when a baby was considered a premie if it was born weighing less that 5 pounds. Now babies are being saved at 23 weeks gestation and less than 2 pounds, depending on the hospital where they are born.
Bottom line is: Pro-life doctors' intent is to SAVE the life of both while the @bortion industry's is to END the life of the baby.

There are other treatments that can help in the case of life of the mother and things like ectopic pregnancy, chemo, c-sections, and miscarriage are not abortion. This has always been a heartbreaking subject for me. I know a lot of women who have gone through a lot including miscarriages, abortion, SA, mothering children without their fathers, etc. There's a story of grief and resentment attached to each of those women. I say this carefully, but I think that there's more to this discussion than just the value of the child that grows inside of them. Yes, the life of that child is valuable and belongs to God and we should advocate for their life because they can't. I also want to say that the life of the mother is also precious and belongs to God as well. I think that we need to pray for all of the women (of any age, including teens) who consider having an abortion. I've never met any woman who discussed making that decision light-heartedly. Pray not only that they would repent or change their mind but that their identity as a woman would be redeemed in Jesus. If that woman doesn't believe that she has intrinsic value as an image bearer and that her life belongs to God, it's going to be difficult for her to believe that the life growing inside does as well. Redeem and restore. I think that the Church should be actively involved in supporting the restoration and healing process of any woman who has been SAed or abandoned by their child's father especially if she's a member of their local congregation.

God is in control but he allows us to make some decisions. I think the way many people who call themselves children of God are so two faced is causing a big problem with faith in this World. Not helping and just judging and annoying people is just causing atheism to rise. I thought when this guy was going to talk about judging he would switch to talking about how pro life people mostly just fuss and belittle people instead of try to help a person see why they should keep or try to get help for a baby. There are a lot of people who grew up with parents who did not want them in their lives for who knows what reason. Their are people who grew up without family or with some type of foster care, and because of that there are many who became angery and sinful people. Some are pro choice not because of selfishness but because of past experiences or knowledge of how some systems can lead to a bad childhood.

I went on a first date with a woman years ago. On the date she explained to me how she had several abort!ons recently. I was concerned, and asked her why so many. I thought maybe there was trauma in her life or some form of abuse.
Instead, she told me that she chose to have the procedure because she did not want children, did not want to use any form of contraceptives to prevent unwanted pregnancies, and did not care if she was terminating pregnancies as she could "always get another abort!on".
This angered me, but I calmly asked her if she would ever regret ending the life of a fetus, which would become a baby, and then have its _own_ life. I wanted to see if she had any care for the new life she _could_ create, or for having her own children someday.
Instead, she told me that she recognized the fetus had life, but _did not_ care about its life. She said that she wanted to keep having fun because _she_ wanted to, and that all that mattered to her was having fun and pleasure. She said that she would _keep_ having abortions because the lives of fetuses did not matter to her, and that they _never_ would matter to her because _her_ life mattered _more_ to her. She also said that she did not care if she was _"killing"_ a baby.
She said these things very coldly and emotionlessly too. So, that was our first and final date. I broke up with her immediately because all she wanted out of her life was _lust_ and drunkenness. I tried to explain the value of _life_ to her, but she wanted constant, unending pleasure over joy. And she was willing to _“kill a baby”_ to protect her own life.
I value _life_, and I always will.
But I do not respect those who _do not_ care for life. Care of life is _the_ most important thing to me. Always. Amen, and thank you for reading. Jesus loves you. ❤

From this Passage i will take the conclusion that no, you shouldn't take Saul's life, remember that God is Omnipresent and He knows Saul will be one of the Champions of the Bible, same with this example. I think it's pretty clear. You have the explicit parts about God knowing us(Jer 1:5) before we're born, about not murdering, and God hating the shedding of innocent blood(Proverbs 6:16-19) and the only argument they have in favor is taking verses like Exodus 21:22(it's actually treating an unborn child surviving an assault like a situation where the victim survives elsewhere.) out of literary and/or cultural context.

If you meant you were leaning solely on your own understanding, I can see where you're coming from, but using logic is not a sin. As you wrote it, your wording sounds like thinking is something we're going to hell for, when the opposite is true. As someone who has only recently converted to Catholicism, this was the hardest one for me to tackle. Especially as a woman who has suffered much abuse at the hands of bad fathers, and bad men in general. I’ve been pro choice all of my adult life. And it goes without saying that I’ve been other things that are incredibly heretical and blasphemous, and I only say that to tell you that all of these beliefs go hand in hand. Surrounding myself with the word of God and other like minded individuals finally confronted me with this particular issue. I’ve been praying for my heart to be opened and this is the topic that came to me. And it’s been on my mind heavily this week, so what a pleasure to see this pop up on my recommends to help reassure me as I make the transition over in my mind, body and soul. I don’t have to do it alone. Thank you ❤ Never stop doing what you’re doing. We will all come to understand our purpose in time. We must be ready to educate each other and embrace each other when the time comes. There will be a march and mass for the unborn by OneLife LA next Saturday. There are several places in my city that DO help take care of of unplanned pregnant moms. However, this isn't just a job for Christians, but for everyone. As a society, we are concerned with people with mental illnesses that they don't unalive themselves. Helping mothers with unplanned pregnancies is the same idea. What is good for them and their children is also good for society.
Your second point is still in the same vein, why don't ALL of us help support r@pe victims?
And lastly, why allow all @bortions for the small number of r@pes committed isn't logical (1% of all @bortions are due to rape). There's an organization called Save the One that speaks to that very concept as they were conceived in r@pe and ask the question, why don't their lives count as much as others in the @bortion debate?

Even if "My body, my choice" has merit to the argument, the baby is not YOUR body or YOUR choice, it's the baby's body and their choice. And even though they can't decide that doesn't give you the right to.
If your child didn't want to kill themselves would that give you the right to kill them? No, absolutely not. Because if they follow their own logic, it's the kid's choice. That argument is flawed from the start, and that's BEFORE you get God involved.

Just because a fetus can’t consent denies the women to their own choice. Also take into the consideration that the abortion is necessary in order to save the women from the strain the baby puts on her. Are we to be concerned more of the “feelings” of a fetus, or the safety and welfare of the women. Also sometimes a women isn’t in control of the process of making a baby. They can get suduced or forced into procreation. And the reason of an invisible deity saying it’s wrong isn’t going to ring with everyone.

Okay, then what if a 10 year old child gets raped and now is forced to deliver a baby that could very well kill her during the pregnancy? What if a women has been sexually assaulted and died because she couldn't get an abortion? It's not the kids choice because A: The kid wasn't even born yet and B: It's literally the women delivering that baby in the first place.
I don't mean to sound rude, but honestly you can't just assume. People have many different reasons for acting the way they act and for me, I believe that a women's choice is between her and God, and nobody else.
Don't get me wrong, killing a child is a terrible, terrible thing. But I honestly don't think it's fair for the women who had to go through who knows what to deliver a baby that could very well kill her.

@ATG11078 There is a fallacy that the @bortion industry promotes. According to 2 former @bortion doctors, Dr Anthony Levatino and Dr Haywood Robinson, there is NO reason for an abortion to save the life of the mother.
It takes 3 days for an abortion to be performed on a late term pregnancy. A C-section can be done in an hour or so. In the case of an ectopic pregnancy, the baby isn't in the uterus itself but in the fallopian tube. In that case the goal is to save both the mother and child, but science hasn't advanced that far to allow the baby to be transplanted into the womb, so the baby dies. Abortions cannot be performed with an ectopic pregnancy as the baby isn't in the uterus.
Bottom line, the main difference is the intent. @bortion's intent is to kill, pro-life is to try and save life.

I’m afraid not everyone is going to be religious, or believe in God. We’re not going to convince the entire world that God is the answer. You can try, but in my experience, if someone’s already made up their mind, then it’s darn near impossible to convert them. You can ask, and say, “Hey, want to come to church with me?” But nothing will scare off a person more than if you tell them, “You better believe in God and accept Jesus into your heart, or else.” A gentle approach is usually best and allowing that person to make up their own mind for themselves is even better. You can always invite your friend to a luncheon at church, and let them know you’re not going to try and convert. Just hang out, meet fellow Christians. I think the gentle approach and letting someone make up their own minds is always better. People cannot stand when you shove your religion down their throats. It only induces anger and the complete opposite of what you wanted. But yes, I can pray for her. Just please don’t scare her off, we Christians are nice and would love to have more believers, just please, for the love of all things Holy, be careful how you go about it.

Well the mother shouldn't have to feel the pain and agony from something they didn't do. it wasn't the mother's fault she got raped, so if you don't wanna kill the baby, then just take it out of the womb and give it to someone who can't have babies, or put it up for adoption. A woman should never be forced into having a baby or being forced into feeling pain. Sure it wasn't the baby's fault, but the woman has full control over her body and you can't control her. If she is in so much pain she has the right to abort. It was from rape and she is a victim. Sure, it is not the baby's fault, but she should probably just get C-Section surgery and give the baby to someone else, but in the end, woman's choice, not ours. We can't control what she can do, duh. God obviously knows that.
THIS IS NOT AN OPINION, THIS IS JUST THE TRUTH. WOMEN HAVE FREE WILL AND NO ONE CAN TAKE THAT AWAY, SO DO NOT BE A SEXIST DEGENERATE. TREAT ALL PEOPLE EQUALLY. THE WOMAN SHOULD NOT FEEL THE PAIN OF HAVING TO BE PREGNANT AFTER BEING RAPED. MAYBE NOT ABORTION, BUT RATHER C-SECTION SURGERY WHICH WOULD MAKE THE MOTHER NO LONGER HAVE ANY PAIN, BUT LET THE BABY BE SPARED.
