What we say, hear, listen to, meditate on can certainly act as word curses. With music it becomes such a powerful tool in that you automatically start to sing along even subconsciously because of the melody and you end up saying, proclaiming or 'Spelling' the words over our lives, which is where we get the term 'casting a spell' from what we say, or spell out. I think you’re right, but we need to consider how music influences us whether towards God or away from Him. Music is incredibly influential. And think about how your brain can randomly access lyrics to songs you haven’t listened to in a long time, even years.

I have a whole Christian playlist called cally's Christian classics because my name is Cally and the playlist rhymes I have 80 songs on that playlist and I really only listen to that kind of music now and it's so much better than listening to secular music and stuff that worships the devil I don't want to give him an open door I want to give God 1000% there is so really good Christian music out there guys you just have to find it try looking at phil wickhams maverick city music Hillsong united/ Hillsong worship elevation worships newsboys and lastly Jonathan Ogden artist have really really amazing Christian music that's boopy and glorifying God and it's uplifting

Agreed. It is one or the other. Words have meaning. What we don't realize are the ways we curse ourselves reciting these songs like a chant. For me, music has always been my favorite thing, but I've slowly let go of a LOT of artists I once listened too. If they don't align with God or Christ, if they mock Him, if they use subliminal messages to show their TRUE allegiance, they're out of my rotation.

Honestly, I never gave much thought to the music I listened to but what you said really does make A LOT of sense. When you said the stuff about Beyonce, it immediately felt very creeped out by that. Thankfully, I don't listen to most of the artists that you named and do, for the most part, listen to Christian music. I did immediately start fighting myself when you said Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift bc I love their stuff, mostly the older stuff tho. The newer stuff (Demi the last like 2 albums, Taylor from Reputation on) I always sort of pushed it away automatically, thankfully. Thank you for this video. i’ve cut down what i listen to on spotify quite a bit and i’m honestly feeling like i can get off of my anxiety meds completely, it’s really amazing what God does 🤍 i try to get away from songs that even make me angry or feel anything but joy and madison beers new album really makes me feel joyful, some of the songs can even be interpreted as being about God it’s really beautiful ♡

Now, listening to this channel Ashley Hetherington, Sadie Robertson and positive Christian influencers and music has made a big impact on my life. Ok as a swiftie and a christian i can tell you. In her music video "Karma" in one scene her and her backup dancers are dressed as demonic figures. now this is done because the song is symbolic of Scooter Braun and the other people who were hurtful to her when she was younger. This doesn't praise the devil in anyway, but many Christians are afraid of anything depicted as the devil. As a Christian, I prayed and I can see that the music video is symbolic and does not actually praise the devil or mock God in anyway, especially seeing as taylor is a Christian herself, and has songs which mention God, and one of her songs even mentions praying to him. Taylor is not demonic, but people consider her to be because they don't understand symbolism.

I’m almost positive that a few weeks ago she had a short with lil Wayne music playing lol I’m not bashing her but when I heard it I turned it immediately.
There was a which is hallelujah and it sounds like a Christian song but if you really look deep into the lyrics it is not really a Christian song and I felt conviction from God to stop listening to it after that. Let's say I don't listen to that song Anymore and I'm trying to stay clear of secular music and sometimes it's a struggle but I've been good about it the past couple weeks but I just got to stay close to God and wear the armor of Christ Jesus! To be clear not all secular music is bad but the ones with profanity, with lust and bad messages with violence is just not good.
I think this was a great message and some ppl can hate but they just don’t like the truth. Lucifer was the best angel and was so good at singing and praising god and making music in heaven and so he (the devil) is trying to use that gift (that god have him) to turn ppl away from god.

I have always enjoyed music that is “worldly” like Hip-Hop, pop, etc. This type of music was all I was interested in as I was raised with honoring this style of music…I was a cheerleader, dancer, etc. I found this music to be a fun escape from my troubles and put me in a different character. My behavior was destructive and my style was inappropriate (taught to always look “hot” so copied and idolized certain artists wanting to be like them). How I thought, dressed and acted were inspired. Things changed… I met a conductor who became my Step-father and my taste in music became different. I was always partying and thinking it was cool to drink and dance to explicit music to feel joyous and free. I then was influenced to listen to classical, jazz, etc. I agree now about his comment of hip-hop just being noise…I agree today and am mindful about what I listen to as media can be very influential. I noticed my behaviors changed and became a better individual. I matured and began to be loving, caring, etc. My Spirit began to be fed with positive songs. Anyway, music can really have power over someone and it’s important to be mindful what we feed our Spirit…went from enjoying demonic music and having a fun time drinking, smoking and whatever else was promoted in the songs to gaining growth and maturity, selflessness and being modest. But my parents are very strict and I cannot use any social media and my DREAM is to be a social media influencer especially on instagram and wanting to be a TH-camr. But my dad thinks that ALL social media is bad and I see it as something that can be either used for good and evil. I really want to use social media. I am so responsible and have waited up to 18 to get social media where most people my age would get it behind their parent’s back. I need some recommendations and advice. I'm Catholic and have been my whole life, however, of the last month or so I've became way closer to God, and tried to stop sinning. Sincr last night I've been putting a little bit of the thought into not listening to some artists but I want to know what artist are okay and some artist recommendations. What helps me is to look up the lyrics of all songs. If the message is evil, you will know it just by what is said and the topics discussed. If it's pure, innocent and not offensive to God then proceed with caution ❤
I got rid of all my secular music over 40 years ago, most was rock music. Back then it was all satanic and it was very mild compared to today's music. My suggestion is just repent of listening to worldly music but most people are not willing to do that. We don't need this satanic music in our lives. God will give you the Holy Spirit instead of this satanic music.

I think she made a TH-cam short about taylors music video Karma being demonic when it came out. Claiming the scene of taylor and her dancers in the underworld (with clear mythology references) was demonic. As a Christian, i agree using discernment with music. Secondly, in karma, Taylor compares Scooter Braun to the devil. the scene isn't praising satan or going against God but rather comparing Satan and Scooter Braun. taylor is a Christian (you can look it up) and even mentions Jesus by name in a few of her songs. What we say, hear, listen to, meditate on can certainly act as word curses. With music it becomes such a powerful tool in that you automatically start to sing along even subconsciously because of the melody and you end up saying, proclaiming or 'Spelling' the words over our lives, which is where we get the term 'casting a spell' from what we say, or spell out.

Honestly, I never gave much thought to the music I listened to but what you said really does make A LOT of sense. When you said the stuff about Beyonce, it immediately felt very creeped out by that. Thankfully, I don't listen to most of the artists that you named and do, for the most part, listen to Christian music. I did immediately start fighting myself when you said Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift bc I love their stuff, mostly the older stuff tho. The newer stuff (Demi the last like 2 albums, Taylor from Reputation on) I always sort of pushed it away automatically, thankfully. Thank you for this video. i’ve cut down what i listen to on spotify quite a bit and i’m honestly feeling like i can get off of my anxiety meds completely, it’s really amazing what God does 🤍 i try to get away from songs that even make me angry or feel anything but joy and madison beers new album really makes me feel joyful, some of the songs can even be interpreted as being about God it’s really beautiful ♡

Ok as a swiftie and a christian i can tell you. In her music video "Karma" in one scene her and her backup dancers are dressed as demonic figures. now this is done because the song is symbolic of Scooter Braun and the other people who were hurtful to her when she was younger. This doesn't praise the devil in anyway, but many Christians are afraid of anything depicted as the devil. As a Christian, I prayed and I can see that the music video is symbolic and does not actually praise the devil or mock God in anyway, especially seeing as taylor is a Christian herself, and has songs which mention God, and one of her songs even mentions praying to him. Taylor is not demonic, but people consider her to be because they don't understand symbolism.

I’m almost positive that a few weeks ago she had a short with lil Wayne music playing lol I’m not bashing her but when I heard it I turned it immediately.
There was a which is hallelujah and it sounds like a Christian song but if you really look deep into the lyrics it is not really a Christian song and I felt conviction from God to stop listening to it after that. Let's say I don't listen to that song Anymore and I'm trying to stay clear of secular music and sometimes it's a struggle but I've been good about it the past couple weeks but I just got to stay close to God and wear the armor of Christ Jesus! To be clear not all secular music is bad but the ones with profanity, with lust and bad messages with violence is just not good.
I think this was a great message and some ppl can hate but they just don’t like the truth. Lucifer was the best angel and was so good at singing and praising god and making music in heaven and so he (the devil) is trying to use that gift (that god have him) to turn ppl away from god.

I have always enjoyed music that is “worldly” like Hip-Hop, pop, etc. This type of music was all I was interested in as I was raised with honoring this style of music…I was a cheerleader, dancer, etc. I found this music to be a fun escape from my troubles and put me in a different character. My behavior was destructive and my style was inappropriate (taught to always look “hot” so copied and idolized certain artists wanting to be like them). How I thought, dressed and acted were inspired. Things changed…
I met a conductor who became my Step-father and my taste in music became different. I was always partying and thinking it was cool to drink and dance to explicit music to feel joyous and free. I then was influenced to listen to classical, jazz, etc. I agree now about his comment of hip-hop just being noise…I agree today and am mindful about what I listen to as media can be very influential. I noticed my behaviors changed and became a better individual. I matured and began to be loving, caring, etc. My Spirit began to be fed with positive songs.
Anyway, music can really have power over someone and it’s important to be mindful what we feed our Spirit…went from enjoying demonic music and having a fun time drinking, smoking and whatever else was promoted in the songs to gaining growth and maturity, selflessness and being modest.

I need some recommendations and advice. I'm Catholic and have been my whole life, however, of the last month or so I've became way closer to God, and tried to stop sinning. Sincr last night I've been putting a little bit of the thought into not listening to some artists but I want to know what artist are okay and some artist recommendations. If not, what else should I listen to and who else should I listen to? I obviously am not big on country but when I think Christan songs I just think country music. Somebody please give me advice.

I got rid of all my secular music over 40 years ago, most was rock music. Back then it was all satanic and it was very mild compared to today's music. My suggestion is just repent of listening to worldly music but most people are not willing to do that. We don't need this satanic music in our lives. God will give you the Holy Spirit instead of this satanic music.

She releases clean versions of every song she writes, and with Karma, that was symbolic, not praising the devil in anyway. :) Pray about it, but when I did God told me that it wasn't a problem. Music is very uplifting and good for the soul.

I think she made a TH-cam short about taylors music video Karma being demonic when it came out. Claiming the scene of taylor and her dancers in the underworld (with clear mythology references) was demonic.
As a Christian, i agree using discernment with music. But I do disagree with her stance on taylor swift.

hi i want to confirm something here. that wasn't a ritual. that was a dance. The evermore "Pumpkin ritual" was actually people dancing with lanterns for one of the songs. It was not a ritual. Secondly, in karma, Taylor compares Scooter Braun to the devil. the scene isn't praising satan or going against God but rather comparing Satan and Scooter Braun. taylor is a Christian (you can look it up) and even mentions Jesus by name in a few of her songs. (In a good way.)
