Im 72 and I witnessed the world go berserk with "bra burning" in 1970 (H.S. grad year.). In 2008 I was shocked in Downtown Chicago to see a woman wearing see through leggings so flimsy and tight that you could see the cellulite dimples in her butt cheeks. It was obscene and vulgar. Very good; the disclaimer you cannot judge them, but are just making observations. Sadly many Christians are the most hypocritical and judgmental without love - being used by the enemy to cause more pain for others. We must be discerning, not judgmental.

Taylor, this is a refreshing message from a young woman! Great job! I am your parents age bracket and was a teen in the late 60’s and 70’s and observed it all. When women agreed with their bodies that sex was cheap, lustful men took advantage and the moral collapse accelerated. When a society at large accepts premarital sex as the inevitable norm the collapse is in full swing. It started in the 60’s, increased in the 70’s and 80’s, and by the mid 2000’s accelerated at a dizzying speed. Without God, a great revival and people like yourself, we can’t get back to sanity. Read the book “Men and Marriage” by George Gilder for deeper insight. Its initial title was “Sexual Suicide”, which apparently didn’t sell many copies. Fascinating view into this topic. FYI- my wife and I teach engaged couples before marriage for over 30 years and we’ve seen the downhill slide. And to finish- isn’t it always the devils plan to call sin freedom?

Hey not trying to nitpick here, something I think you would be interested to know. Corsets and stays were not designed to be super tight, they were worn by working class and aristocrats alike, and by all accounts were better fitting and more supportive than modern bras. They were designed to be comfortable and to be worked in. Some of course were designed to be more stylish, and just like modern women might choose to tighten certain areas of her dress to make herself more appealing for the sake of comfort, or wear high heels for the sake of attractiveness over comfort, some women would choose to lace them up tighter to appear thinner. Overall though, corsets and stays were not unhealthy or suffocating, and the modern idea that they were is hugely false. One of the reasons this myth is perpetuated is due to modern movies that do period pieces where they don’t take the time to fit the actresses properly, and they want them to look thinner on camera, so naturally the actresses will say they are uncomfortable, because the film company wants to save money and doesn’t care how it fits as long as it looks good. Not trying to ‘um, actually’ you or anything, but this is one myth I’m trying very hard to bring more light to

I am already use to seeing a certain level of immodesty but the other day I was walking downtown and there was a woman taking a video in a thong and twerking in public. It was pretty shocking to see.

The 1960s, with the introduction of the pill, was when society's standard of morality in the sexual arena started to shift, and it has been deteriorating as a consequence ever since because society as a whole does not see sex in the same way you do any longer. Having said that, I wonder whether you have considered the following. You're arguing that modesty is the antidote to the problem, and this means you need to cover your body more. But does modesty really have to do with revealing less skin? If that were the case then Muslim society ought to be the most sexually moral one on the planet, and Indigenous societies where nudity was customarily practiced ought to have been morally decadent ones, but that is far from the truth. The major influence behind the sexual moral demise of Western society has nothing to do with how much skin you reveal, but everything to do with the absence of a societal belief in God and the teaching of the bible concerning the sexual ethic. Yes, Paul, the Apostle in 1 Timothy 2 did talk about the need for women to "dress modestly and discreetly", but that did not mean that she had to be concerned about not revealing too much skin. It had everything to do with not possessing an ostentatious attitude. This is what Paul said that should and should not be done: "not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive apparel, but by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness." In other words, she ought not to arrogantly draw attention to herself, but she ought to instead reveal her modesty through her Godly behaviour. You see, a woman can quite easily be covered up, but nevertheless be ostentatious at the same time in her comportment.

Silence is a great tool. Just had some of that after Mass this morning, went to the adoration chapel to be alone with Jesus. Even on crazy days, my regret is NOT to have spent at least some quiet time with Him. Work and life can drown you out but that's when it's most important to have that time of silence. In my experience over 4 decades and having lived in a black neighborhood for the 1st two of those, it was there that I was the most shocked about a woman's appearance! It went from grandma's church going civilized dress and decorum to young obese mother's dancing in the street wearing just thongs and some kind top that didn't hide anything with their young children at their side. When being horrified by the spectacleI was told that it was a woman's right to dress and behave any way she chose, that this was the land of the free! Slowly it crept to the Latino community and then in the late 90s I started watching the decline in white women of all classes similar to those black women, even though the lack of clothes went back to problably 1920s and hitting a peak with the hippies in the late 60s. To me it's like the choice to an abortion, the right should be there, but it doesn't mean you have to indulge on it on a whim.

I've noticed since the 60's, the womens self described 'liberation movement,' and the introduction of bcp's, has only led women and society, to self destruction, and in too many cases, self denigration, poverty. Most especially, a significant amount of young women, due to their poor attitudes, exaggerated self aggrandizing, lack of self respect to themselves, their bodies, and those around them, are no longer looked upon with respect, honor, prized for their purity, of clean sound mind, clean heart, clean spirit, God loving, God following. Womens liberation movement, has led a significant part of women to the abandonment and destruction of Christianity; in turn, its been leading to the collapse of morals, values, ethics, destruction of marriage, family, explosion in out of wedlock births, single parent families, whom in most cases, don't attend church services, nor receive religious instruction. A significant amount of kids of single parent households are no longer being supervised while their parent is busy working 2 or 3 jobs to pay living expenses. Alongside, depression, anxiety, suicide, despair, has increased dramatically. Theres an explosion in abortion, same-sex unions, LGBTXYZ and lifestyles, transgenderism, euthanasia, widespread fornication and adultery. All the previously mentioned was mostly minimal, or unheard of, not even remotely at the scale, as is now present, as a result of the womens liberation movement. Womens liberation movement has actually been unliberating, imprisoned the rest of the country. Add to all of this, is many mens eagerness to help women delusionally liberate themselves. Men only do to women, how women have led themselves to be treated. Without self respect to God, themselves and those around them. Fault on both sides.

I don’t watch porn but lately I have noticed it has become increasingly difficult for me to stop browsing the internet/youtube/tiktok/marketplace. In a way it feels similar to a porn addiction because I don’t have full control of my mind and time

I am a devout practicing Catholic and I always wear a shawl at At Mass I never wear form-fitting clothing everybody always compliments me on how pretty and feminine I look. Modesty does not mean ugly

I am a mom in my 40s struggle to find any kind of dressing style. I want my daughters to choose modesty on their own. I think they are because they asked their friend at school to stop drawing them with their belly button showing! 😊

My Mom was a gorgeous italian Immigrant from Florence, Italy. She modeled for DIOR in Paris in the 1950's. She according to her..went on 1 date prior to meeting my Dad. They married 50 yrs. She was a Roman catholic as my father who was Irish. She never once cursed and neither did my dad It was the best childhood I could ever wish for. In her 80's she still took time to get dressed nice...though it was a while to put on nice clothes to go food shopping...being around my mom and she was so beautiful growing up was very funny Wherever she went men would wave to her and whistle as she walked by......I remember being on long lines at the butcher shop and the butchers, who were italian would call her over to the side and get her order cutting all the others in line...My father worked on Madison Ave as a executive, he wore suits and bowties and shined his shoes every morning before work..... Today I am a Physician and people always tell me I look so well dressed...they say why do you always dress up?...I just shrug and move along......and remember my parents...They both died peacefully from cancer neither of them told me they were ever in any pain. Jesus Christ is merciful.

As a man, i believe that dress mentioned in the beginning being tight around some parts of the upper body yet long enough to exhibit modesty is definitely attractive, especially as a Christian man. There are many dresses today with a similar fit, and i think Christian women should definitely wear them more overall. The dress catches the eye without revealing too much. i can look at a woman like that and easily direct her beauty to God’s glory instead of lingering and lusting in my mind. 10/10

I'm a sixteen year old who's worn long skirts and dresses since I was born, and I am just ecstatic that there are other young women who value their modesty and Christian testimony as well. God created women different from men, and we as women need to embrace that uniqueness instead of trying to be like "one of the boys." No matter how much we may try, women can never become men. Hi Taylor! I thank God so much for putting this in your heart and for making your video reach me. It's been so encouraging, for there are some times in which I feel like dressing modestly makes me less attractive or boring. But you reminded me how beautiful being a lady is, and the power that it has, so thank you.

Your makeup is beautifully done, very intentional and contemporary. Are you faithful in using cruelty free products? Have you studied makeup and skin care products? Your hair may be naturally straight…but have you studied what black women do to achieve straight hair like yours? (Chris Rock did an excellent documentary about it.) Your teeth are either naturally nearly perfect or the result of orthodontia. I think that having a beautiful, healthy smile is something all people should have access to … that requires universal healthcare including dental care. This is something most conservatives don’t want to discuss with liberals which I find really frustrating. Your lips may or may not be enhanced with Botox…which is your business. But, Have you studied that? A woman with thin lips has a little enhancement…is that vanity or liberty? An individual who wants to transition to the gender they deeply feel is the true them may also have enhancements…is that vanity or liberty? An individual disfigured by cancer or an accident may also have enhancements…is that sinful pride or health care? You’re creating a modesty video while sitting alone on your bed looking beautiful while appropriately modest in a way your audience appreciates. I think your chosen setting was intentional because the rest of your video is well organized, well edited and includes excellent photos and video clips. Your setting, your lighting and your choices. That’s liberty…correct? So alone on your bed was intentional…and that’s your business. Your video, your look, your body, your choices all intentionally determined to appeal to your audience and attract attention to a message you value and express very clearly. The translation of the Bible to English was a big step towards liberty. The right for women to learn to read, to vote and to have child custody after a divorce… all that was liberating and involved organizing and political activism over many generations. You frame modesty as empowering but it’s within a cultural context of women’s liberation. Let’s not take that liberation and generations of struggle for granted. You choose modesty and make it look as you wish, in ways denied to previous generations. I too value empowerment for the common good. That’s why I value finding solutions for Universal healthcare, quality affordable childcare…and elder care, affordable housing, cleaning up environmental damage, reducing waste, reducing the harms of meat and dairy production and many other issues. Men and women can agree on cleaning up our messes and caring for our planet and the life we share regardless of their fashion choices. What prevents Christians from working with liberal agnostic humanists on promoting the general welfare and securing the blessings of liberty? In my opinion Christians are far more concerned about women’s hem lines than about women’s free access to an OB-Gyn or a free and empowering public education.
