As a Mexican: Maria, u are dead wrong!! The original pozole is from pork and it’s better when u make it with plenty of condiments adds lots of flavor. And if u choose to make it chicken, it’s shredded honey, otherwise it would be more of a Caldo de pollo rather than a pozole lol

I think the taste test should be done by pero like staff, or some other people. I think that would be fair, and have truthful evaluations. A blind taste test.

Good thing about this mini competition is that it shows which two of the three grandmothers are gracious.
I loved watching & listening to these ladies as they proudly expressed their personal expertise and tradition of making pozole as made in their own regional area of Mexico. With that in mind, all 3 were champions in their own right!🍲

I ve been used to the chicken one since forever because my father doesn't like greasy food and pork (he is a healthy eater but will once in a while eat fast-food or sweets except pork. He refuses to eat it) so my mom always makes chicken posole for our family.
The first time I tried posole De puerco was like 2 years ago at my cousin's birthday and it wasn't bad I liked it but I honestly prefer the chicken one more. Maybe because it's the one I've been used to eating my whole life. Also because it's healthier and it's not greasy/fatty for my tastebuds.
But my mom NEVER PUTS A WHOLE CHICKEN LEG in the posole. She always shreds the chicken.
Yeah, here in Zacatecas we usually do pozole de puerco, but is not unusual to eat chicken pozole, but as the grandma said es deshebrado, in my house we do it both ways but we use espinazo de cerdo, maíz pozolero and we don't use radish
