Quick update with the QYTECO. Ended up being the push rod was bad. They sent me just about everything to replace and I once I changed the pushrod, we were back in business
@@Wan2bMountainman yes, the Qyteco saves the video files as .avi so I use a free convert app from the AppStore. No sure of the name but I save the video to an sd card, then use a card reader that plugs into the iPhone and open the video with that app and then convert it to mp4 then save it to the camera roll
Forgive me cuz I'm new to your channel (I subscribed) but are you saying they covered it under warranty and sent you the parts free? If not what was the cost of new pushrod? How long did this last before it failed?? any idea why it failed...water due to poor connection/poor design?? just wondering how often I may have to replace the pushrod...and if you still consider this a good buy? And thanks for replying to all my comments so far 👍
@@ordinary_average_guy so they sent me a new one however they said the push rod is a non warranty part which is understandable. But they didn’t charge me anything for it. It showed no signs of damage or anything, I’m guessing it just got bent a little too much and something broke inside. The replacement they sent me, pretty much did the same thing right away, it still works but you can just tell something isn’t right. For the cost, it has the best image of any camera I’ve ever used. I just think it’s a little too fragile. I believe a new push rod is around $400 for it
That’s really hard to answer because there isn’t really a brand on them. One big company makes them and then distribute them to a bunch of different people and then they sell them with whatever name they choose. The biggest name is the Spartan Sentinel. But you can get if from someone like Billy Chong for like half the price versus buying from Spartan
So on the qyteco, it ended up not being the board, it was the push rod. I replaced it and it would good. However, a couple months later, the push rod did it again. But, there was something wrong with the board too but I found out that they all did. They all had battery drain issues but that had been fixed. I replaced my board again like a month or 2 ago and it completely fixed my battery issue
I’ve never tried, I don’t see those in my area very often. The push rod on this camera is surprisingly stiff for being so small so I kind of doubt it would make it around it but I don’t know. I’ve pushed it through a 6” clay trap easily
Hi there, are you on Facebook? For both of these, you can contact the salespeople for them. For the first 2 in this video, contact Billy Chong, and for the big screen Qyteco camera, contact Mia Meng. If you look me up on Facebook and send me a message, I can share their contact info with you
I think I paid $2500 for mine it is the first unit with the smallest screen. May I ask what you paid? And how do you get the largest screen model, thanks David
Hey there, are you on Facebook? I can get you the info on these and where to buy but it pretty much has to go through Facebook. I can get you in touch with the distributor and save you almost $1000
@@terjavec I’m going to I found that Alibaba website you used . Also those cameras look super bad ass I’m going to order one you use them in mainlines and they work ? Sorry for bugging shah
Depends on what you want. My favorites are the Billy Chong cameras but basically just go to Facebook and look up someone named Billy Chong and talk to him through messenger. Otherwise you can find me and I can send you his profile. Or for the qyteco you can look up Mia Meng on Facebook
Just got the 10" version.... wondering what the usb socket is for??....
Pretty sure it’s for the wireless keyboard
I am happy with my unit the picture quality is good and the sonde works well
How does it push through multiple turns, and how long is the line.
Thanks
Surprisingly well actually. It’s a tiny push rod but it pushes nice. I primarily use them in 4”-6” main lines

Do you still have to change the files to something different do view them on a iPhone? How do you go about doing that? Thanks

The mini one can. I’ve done a 1.5” thin wall pvc trap with it
