Ark: Survival Evolved Procedurally Generated ARKs Tutorial! The somewhat new Procedurally Generated ARKs feature is really confusing and unapproachable for most people. The settings are all written with the sort of expectation like you have some technical background in this stuff and there's no really easy to understand guide I've been able to find for this. After throwing this on the back burner for like a month, we're finally getting it done!!!

- Fixed issue with Wild Dinos spawning inside bases (may still be an 'edge case' if you have a very long fence with few nearby structures; requires at least 15 "core" structures within a 6000 unit radius to prevent spawn, or tamed dino within a 4000 unit radius, but otherwise will work properly now).

Erosion is what determines the "bumps" in the land/mountains. Higher count means that more "droplets" of ocean has been scraping away from the landscape, giving it a eroded look with a bunch of holes/bumps everywhere. I'd leave erosion at a low number so you can actually build anywhere.

This guide is really outdated as many of the options do different things than said in the video. However the things in the video that were the same as in the game helped me out a lot. I went from 2 continents with many islands to one super continent like I wanted. I'm a bit sad rivers are basically impossible to make, but oh well, my terrain is almost ready for gameplay.

Water level and, ocean floor may be wrong. My PGA's won't stop having the water level almost at the mountain peaks. Nothing spawns in the water or, water zone and, nothing spawns below it. (on actual land.) so, i just keep getting the mountain peaks.

Nice video but some of settings that u show in video are abit wrong.. ive tested all the settings on my server and made the perfect map. but with every patch that ark releases it wipes the mods i had so i went to another map cause pgm is great and all but wiping ppls bases every day cause of a hotfix is annoying to try and fix... but yeah the landscape radius is not how big the land is... u can increase that to 100... think of circle a radius of 1 is like small it increases the circle with each number.. at 100 the raidus is outside the map wall but it makes the land a circle... to increase in size of the land u want to inscrease the island border curve. and the mountaint biome and jungle biome start is the x.. and y on the map like how tall its supposed to spawn in trees.. if the mountain start point is set too high there will be no metal spawning.. if set too low metal will spawn everywhere including the beaches... its supposed to work like -1 is ocean level... .50 is jungle... 1 is mountain or .55 as its above sea level.. but testing this out its dont work that way and only way to get metal to spawn is have it below water level
