This is a pretty darn good list. I would've used dinos from other maps for some of the egg types, but this is absolutely solid for the island. Also, about why the Thyla takes such an expensive kibble: Thylacoleo is one of (if not the only) vanilla dino that doesn't take any bleed damage. This means it can face up against a wild giganotosaurus without being affected by the percentage based bleed which makes them so incredibly deadly.
Thanks, I wanted to use base animals only as most people would probably start on island. Especially with ascended, though didn't know that at the time. I should use Thyla more
I know that at the end of the video you stated map was a factor when it came to these choices, though in my opinion the easiest dinosaur to get to cover all kibble needs are deinonychus from valgeuro and fjordur. They are extremely easy to get either on foot or on a pteranodon and make the highest tier of kibble, that and get yourself a giant bee queen or two for honey. Also it kind of bugs me that for some reason spino eggs are used to get superior kibble while you need a tier higher kibble to tame it.
Yeah I'll be honest I liked the old system. It encouraged you to tame everything And I didn't realize the deinonychus gave all the eggs too. Thanks for that tip
@@Pubcrawler644 They don't give all types of kibble they just give the highest tier of kibble which can be used on everything(honestly I just usually find it easier to only make one type of kibble because then you never have to look up what takes what kibble). Also the current kibble system is nonsensical, I really wish they would make it more of a progression system like you need to tame a raptor to get a carno to get a rex kind of thing.
@@zachcook3907 that was the old system. Worked great when it was in early access. . You would tame the new creatures and gather eggs. Then the kibble would be used on the next month's new Dino's. Kinda hope they do that with ark 2 tbh
@@Pubcrawler644 I have a feeling that taming is going to be massively different in ark 2, with how they have described the combat they likely have massively changed multiple systems.
@@zachcook3907 yeah sounds like they're ripping off dark souls/Conan, maybe they'll rip off monster hunter too and each Dino tame will a battle Actually that doesn't sound too bad. More planning, traps, baits, each Dino truly earned. Would make you less risk averse. especially if they didn't include breeding
The argies drop eggs for superior kibble The idea behind this video is for farming eggs. So I considered the size of the Dino's and the likelihood of having a large amount of dinos
its a good shout, I was coming from the POV that you would have a lot for kibble farming, and by this stage you're more likely to have a lot of Rexes for Boss Battles. Though I know some like to take the Theri into battle too, especially against the Dragon

I like the maewing for all egg types. A couple of them popping out all 6 types is a major time saver.
Yeah but that's not on every map.
Great though

What about deinonychus for superior kibble?
Could be

argentavis is the easiest for exceptional kibble
