Mobile is like a un updated worse version of ark ase

@@Tyri22-Tvyou have to take into account that the mobile version is free. so the developers only way to get to you to cash is to sell items to you in game

Man, the fact I remember every single one of these makes me feel old. I’m surprised you didn’t mention fear evolved 1, when the devs made cave creatures spawn all over the island and they constantly killed new players lol.

Or when the whole map was a winter biome and you had to wear fur everywhere on the island.

And also with the music part same deal me and my dad were trying fishing in Ark with sabertooths as our mount, then I had bit a trike and messed up fishing 😭

anyways I miss Central island on the island really badly cuz there were so many good building spots that we lost to the forest

I hated the Spino TLC because we lost our puppy dog running animation 💔
I started during the first winter wonderland. Argies spawned on the beach lmao. It was ridiculously hard as a brand new player. The southern beaches were also cold so your hunger drained super fast
quetz 50/50 was a very useful bug on ragnarok, as the quetzs would path predictably enough that my tribe was able to construct a trap near the frozen lake that the quetzes would consistently fly themselves into for taming.
I remember most of this solely because of how many ARK videos I used to watch before I even had the game. Unfortunately, I had neither a good computer nor any console that could run the game, so despite wanting to play ARK for years, I never got to until early 2020. Now that I have it..... it's pretty decent actually 👍 (also I experienced some of these things from the Switch version, which was permanently stuck on an older version of ARK for years).
Those big vaults made for great defensive walls for pvp lol. Had way more health than steel walls and you could still use them to store random stuff like flint, stone, etc
I bet there arent many players left who will remember the kamikaze Pteranodons slaughtering beach Bobs on their first release.

I was playing in a mega tribe around that time and all we would do was pt bomb people😂😂

Not sure how you forgot to mention when you even showed it was the ascendant rocket launchers that could legit destroy an entire base with 1 rocket
OG, early access day 1 egg farmer, here.
There were chains of consecutive animal to kibble paths for taming all of the animals.
27 Oviraptors, average 5-7 of every egg layer, 1 male per species.
357 tames in total.
Lag was an impenetrable defense.
But it was a second job.
So much lost sleep

When I was quite a bit younger playing this game, I always used to think the hot (not overheating) icon was fried chicken, it actually took several years to realise it was a flame... I was a slow kid
Fun Fact: the old dire bear model can be found on Ragnarok (correct me if im wrong but i think its that map)
I swear when Quetzs were originally added they didn’t have the Mohawks. But I might be wrong there

I remember the flyer nerf happening on around april 1st, and all of my tribemates and me thought it was just a april 1st joke
I still remember finding all the new dinos that got added being excited learning the game mechanics and everything when this game first released. This game has changed so much(for the better) and im happy to experience the beginning. I didnt play during early access but i remember pre ordering it and playing the beginning. I also remember when the center was playable with friends 🙄 our favorite map as a kid

Ark's og combat music is so epic, it makes me nostaligic
I remember the jump puzzle on the center map in the underworld that would award you with ascendant gear if you got to the end
oooh those good old days where you couldn't land on flyers xD forgot about that one... this brings back lot's of memories, sometimes I forget I've been playing this game for so long
I am not an og, I'm not even going to pretend that I am. Now, I do remember some of this stuff, because I started playing somewhere between Aberration and Extinction, and I did watch some older videos before that, so I do remember some of this stuff, like the sky and the breeding system, though the phoenix and the volcano threw me for a loop.
Hey man I loved your video, nice work compiling all that info, I started playing on 2022 and I definitely knew very little from experience but I’ve read about it.
PS: About the Quetzal 50/50 I’ve tamed quite a number of Quetzals back on The Island and Crystal Isles specifically and I can definitely say they go somewhere around the middle of the map. They don’t fly straight to 50/50 but always end up there somehow. I recall on Crystal Isles you always found them at the savannah or emberfalls biome, and they always ended up at the central river with the copper peaks/red tree forests(not redwoods)
There was no arrow when you pulled up the map. You just had to know the geography using landmarks and knowledge.
I do miss most of what the game used to be. The one improvement I liked the most out of all new items was the cryo pod. The next would have to be the kibble re vamp. New players will never understand the struggle of having a kibble farm of all the Dino’s to tame certain Dino’s! 🤣
I thought I would know most of these concidering I started playing in 2018/2017 (not sure which one) and I only know like 30% of these, great video though!

Yeah I feel like alot of tames became useless after the update. Back in the day we always had a dozen scorpions. Don't think I've tamed one since.
I was so sad when the flyer nerf came in. I remember having a PT with like 500% movement speed, it was absolutely amazing for getting around the map as you can imagine
Dude, I remember when the spino got added lol. Been playing ark for so long, played a lot of pvp, seen the Metta change, seen Dino’s be busted, then nerfed, I’ve seen it all…
Most of us didnt make elaborate breeding structures; we just U whistled....

Been listening to your videos in the background while I'm doing my resource farming. I have to say it's a lot of nostalgia (not always good memories) while listening to this one. But you are killing me with how you pronounce "similar". Sim-U-Lerr is how you say it, but it's Sim-Ah-Lerr. 120 was max level on The Island for a very long time after The Center came out with 150 max level. If I remember correctly it took some mod to increase it before it eventually became a server setting to override max level for The Island. But I want to say it was after Scorched Earth came out before it was made as an official setting option for servers.
I remember all of these so clearly except for the original island, I distinctly remember an ice area in the months leading up to the centers release but I hadn't played it after until 2 years ago and my head honestly broke with the swamp and red woods on the island.
back in the day, my tribe had an amazing war quetzel with 400% ms named AC-130. i miss those days
Op turtle soaking. Ascendant rocket launchers. Quetzal weight glitch with a ladder or ramp and anky. Nerfing the club’s effect against flak and most armor. Quetzal’s with turrets, plants and auto-turrets. Griffins changing ground pvp. Kishko god of foot pvp. No map markers.

120 is the max level in singleplayer for every story maps in Evolved. Even if you enable the max level thing in the settings (what should put every map to 150).
As a person that played ark frist time in 2023 (i were ark fan since 2016+) i know half of the things in video or more
Only thing i remember was you couldn’t fly anywhere without crashing. You had to literally plan out your flight to avoid other player base areas. Also if you did crash in the sky your flyer would just stay there indefinitely until it starved so youd have to send a sky scouting party to find and i dont think there was a group whistle.
I miss this so much was it just me who misses the old argy design I like it way better than the one we have now

I'm suprised you didn't mention the item weight change with in boxes. How you used to be able to put a plateform saddle on a quetz and use storage boxes to haul massive amount of rss as the weight of items within the boxes wouldn't change your querz weight
Today in asa they are flying all to 50 50. Every time i wanted to tame a quetzal he flew to red woods. And the most times i lost them in the trees or while i had to land for stam

gigas were so op back then when they were first released (their health and damage weren't nerfed upon taming back then)
Yeah when Gigas first came in, the wild ones were impossibly hard to kill and just one shot everything, structures and all
queztals still go to 50/50 tamed enough of them over the years to now that and its a pain on certain maps with water at 50/50
I still have a memory of taking my tribe mates red ascendant club in pvp when he got knocked out when i was a kid, and i remember i was super confused when they changed UI 😭😭😭😭😭
I miss the old UI when it was white text on blue background instead of blue text on slightly darker blue background because most of us with bad eyes can't see that very well
Some people still plays ARK survival evolved instead of ASA, so some of these things are not really outdated like the pickup mechanic.
Funny enough I think spooked Tapajaras stilll make erratic paths to 50/50. 🤣 I could be wrong on that though.

No cryopods , the old way to get dinos and caves, was hatching and hatching flyers underwater with glitched onto the surface
Pre redwoods was nice … centrally located … decent Dino population… could live without being knocked off every mount every 10 seconds …

One i dont see mentioned a lot is that turrets didnt target grenades. Stand on a quetz and rain cluster nades on bases
the first halloween event turned the island into fall colors
many of these are in ark mobile, now i play on pc but still nostalgic
We built a huge base with platforms at 50/50 we got so many free quetzs that passed out inside out gates lol.
I genuinely miss the old kibble system. Like it added so much to the game in PvP because you had to be strategic about it. Now the kibble system is so easy smh
blue ob was always north i think then red and green were swapped i remember fighting the broodmother with my friend where red ob is now we thought coming with a couple hundred arrows on our sabertooth would be enough lmao

You left out some interesting 1s. You use to be able to build foundations and walls inside other ones if you knew the trick to do it. Usefull in pvp. Next You could line quetzel up to a building and build almost anything on it if you did it perfectly. Next scorpions and titant boas would knock your ass out in 1 or 2 bites even with high fortitude. Next you use to be able to have a thylo climb a single wall and then fly across map. Next obvious 1, you could build in caves on pve and people would wall off the caves so people couldn't farm it. Next you could claim peoples stuff instead of auto decay. Next pteradons spin attack use to make them 1 the strongest units in game. Big change now. Old scorch 20 dragons 1 spot, u pull egg they won't stop chasing you. Next phoenix use to have like a mini volcano mound when it wasnt a heat wave. Theres many more things considered bug abusing that existed for realllllllyyy long time.
Glad you mentioned all this. I thought I was miss remembering. I miss the 50-wyvern chase it was so much easier to get claws for the boss fight. We would trap them all and wipe them out with Gigas. lol Oh and the lag due to the massive kibble farms was the best. Always had the weird shaped creatures render until the skins loaded in. lol
@Zgames05 put a full greenhouse on a oasis in middle of your base, it will bring back those lag memories to lol

Ark went Full Release When they added the Equus Tek Basilo and Ovis (along with hair cutting)
you forgot to tell about old cave designs they did look completely different and better in my opinion
Correction, during the Ark launch Beta for a few months the official wild dino levels only went to lvl 60, it was then doubled to 120 when around the time the first boss was added and was only the broodmother which had a name before it was defaulted to the broodmother, then later on when they updated the boss to have an arena the then raised the official wild levels to 150.

I used to be obsessed with ark but I could never play it myself. Once I got a playstation and finally played myself, I remember getting really confused about all the stuff that changed. Like what do you mean level 150 not 120? Wait why does metal stack to 300? Since when? Wth you can tame titanoboas??
Not sure if this is true but I remember creatures you tamed had to drink water also
My base also got eaten by the volcano update.
i remember pteranodons are way to go dinos because of the C spin bombing, consume almost NO stamina and damage is huge, then they nerf it, along with the speed stats, hahahah

Max dino level was actually originally 30.
On mobile mushrooms do not blind you and do not spoil
And rare flowers doesn't make the dinos aggro on the character
